This home, with its brand new contemporary interior, new steel siding and roof, spacious and private setting, and beautiful views of both farmland and mountains, is just the place to settle in and plan your adventures in the area. A relaxing deck area with a table and seating, is great for sipping your morning coffee, enjoying the deer and birds that visit the property, or gazing at Montana's Big Sky at night. A gas-operated wood-stove-style fireplace in the living room offers cozy ambiance. Mini-split units in the living room, and all three bedrooms offer zonal heating/cooling for optimum comfort. Five minutes from convenience groceries, fuel, drug store, and ten minutes from historic Hamilton, established by thoroughbred horse icon Marcus Daly. Short bike ride to trails and river access.
Dogs welcome upon approval. Pet fee and current vaccination records required. Property is not fenced, so pets and children must be supervised.

This is one of the best VRBOs I have stayed at. The place is spotless, nicely decorated, well maintained, and so many thoughtful touches such as games, books, and drawing supplies for adults and kids, plus outdoor gear. Gayle has everything to make your stay comfortable including a fully outfitted kitchen and grill on the patio so you can cook any meal like. There is a laundry room which was convenient especially when traveling with kids. Stores are within 10 minutes drive down the road and only 15 minutes drive to McVey Homestead where we attended a few days of wedding events. If I am ever back in town, I want to stay at Gayle's place again.

Comfortable little house near most of the Hamilton things we came the valley to do. Beds/pillows are very comfortable and mini splits kept the entire house comfortable day and night. There was plenty of room to walk the dog in the yard. We enjoyed our stay!

Nice place

Roomy, clean and has everything you could need. Loved the individual climate control for each room. Large driveway was great for our trailer of atvs.

Gayle is an artist and educator with a passion for adolescent talent development. Paul is an engineer, with an emphasis on energy and resilience. We are both life-long learners, have collaborated on authoring research related to our areas of interest, and love to travel. Hosting Airbnb guests for a year or so was a great way to open our residence to travelers from different places, and enjoy getting to know them and a bit about their lifestyles.

Now as VRBO hosts, (having purchased the property from our son, following hundreds of invested hours of debris removal and major reconstruction of the interior of the home by several family members ) we continue to make improvements to both inside and outside to offer a warm, welcoming space for people to relax in while they are in the area. It is certainly a work in progress!

We enjoy time with our family-including 8 grandchildren & 2 (+2 expected) great-grandchildren, and our Labrador Retriever, Jaeger. We have opened this home to pets since we appreciate being able to take our boy with us when we travel away from home.

In line with our interest in other cultures and regions, we hosted three exchange students this year (German, Italian, and Swiss) --the Italian for the full year--and found the experience rewarding and enlightening.

The property "feels" like it is in the country, with all the outdoor space and big trees around it, the view of farmland and mountains, and with deer, osprey, and other wildlife stopping by for a little visit! But is located within minutes of convenient stores, and historic sites.
