Drop your keys on Boddington the Butler's tray (!), and head to the deck to unwind in comfort while you enjoy the view of pretty South Harbor Marina, ( managed by Safe Harbor, you may contact them for information on slip rental, and help with trailer storage).

The beaches of Oak Island are just a short drive over the ICW. (3.2 miles to Oak Island Pier). Par 3 Golf is available less than a mile away, and Oak Island Golf is just 3 miles, by Caswell Beach.

There are many area restaurants, but the condo is located next door to the very highly rated restaurant, Joseph's Italian Bistro. Rusty Hooks Dockside Grill is a 2 minute stroll, with sunset views from their expanded deck and Tiki Bar.
A 6 mile drive takes you to historic downtown Southport, where you can amble through the many Boutiques & Antique Shops, Southport Market, Bakeries, Craft Beer and Wine Bars. Visit the Maritime Museum, or lounge in a swing chair on the lawn while watching the Cape Fear River boat traffic. Take a sunset cruise...highly recommended, and maybe a Ghost Tour in Southport!
If you are a thrill seeker, you might be tempted to try a skydive experience, which is available 5 minutes away. Rental options for boats, bikes and kayaks are also nearby.
The condo is conveniently located between Oak Island and Southport, tucked away from hustle and bustle.

Stay at the Marina without a Boat!

It was so welcoming, clean, cozy, and the pictures were accurate. The host was responsive, generous and ready to please. The restaurant next door could have been vdidn't ery rowdy, but the food is so good, the customers really have a chance to get too loud too often. Taste their food and you'll see why! Highly recommended by the locals. Loved the view of the Marina. I felt safe, slept great, was very comfortable. Next time I hope to come with the boat if I get one!

Tranquil Weekend Get Away

Second time renting this little oasis. Every detail is thought of here and we made a great choice to return. You can’t beat a weekend for 2 sitting on the marina and watching the boats, water and birds. Little walk to the Rusty Hooks for fantastic drinks and eats. Joseph’s was a great anniversary dinner next door. Starting and ending the day on the marina is a treat!

Gemma’s a Gem...and so is her place.

The condo is perfect as is the property owner, Gemma. A lovely welcome basket (and handwritten note from Gemma) greeted us upon arrival. Inside the fridge were two individual sized bottles of sparkling wine to help kick off our 3 night stay. It’s also nice to have one of the best restaurants just steps away (that now takes reservations...yes!). Joseph’s is an old school Italian “joint” that serves up great hand crafted cocktails and delicious food. We ate there 2 nights in a row and almost went for the trifecta our last night. Be sure and ask for Marquis as your server, he’s been at Jospeh’s for 19 years and loves his job. We’ve used a similar property (2nd floor) on site for years. However, these 72 year old knees have seen better days, I’m afraid. Gemma’s place will be our go to place from now on. Main floor entrance...great view of the marina...impeccably decorated...washer-dryer on site. Southport is 10 minutes away as are the beaches. Thanks Gemma for making us feel so welcomed.

Well appointed house!

The house was very comfortable and had a lot of fun coastal accents. I gave it 4 stars for location because the next porch to mine was the outdoor seating for an Italian restaurant. Fortunately, it closed at 9:00 pm, so noise wasn’t really an issue. Gemma was a wonderful host and provided all the necessary informations for a hassle- free stay!stay.issue

Long weekend sisters trip

This lovely condo is so tastefully decorated, impeccably clean, and well appointed. It’s obvious that the hostess, Gemma, enjoys making sure her guests have a comfortable and unique experience, down to the smallest details. From shopping in historic Southport to the beaches in Oak Island, there’s no shortage of activities to please everyone.

Excellent!

Gemma’s place was perfect for a weekend beach getaway! Super close to downtown Southport and Oak Island - a great location to stay for anyone who wants some variety. Plus the view of the marina from the deck was so pretty; we enjoyed coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. We also ate at Joseph’s and Rusty Hooks - great food at both! The property was exceptionally clean and Gemma thought of everything, from a sweet welcome basket to extra bath towels to beach towels. It was also very well stocked. We would definitely stay there again!

Southport, lovely location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The marina location was charming and interesting. We loved watching the boats come and go. Gemma was the perfect hostess, communicative and helpful. The condo was very clean, comfortable, and well supplied. We loved Joseph's Italian Bistro next door and would highly recommend to all future guests. We would definitely choose this location again!

Comfy and Relaxing with a View

My second visit was just as lovely as my first. Gemma is a superb host! From the comfy condo to the fabulous view it is my favorite condo. The proximity to my favorite beach (Caswell) and two wonderful restaurants you can walk to make it a place I’ll return to again and again!!

Most Relaxing

This was a perfect place for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful view. The condo was so clean and well-stocked with everything that you could need or want. The covered deck was our favorite spot with comfy outdoor furniture. Our host Gemma was extremely helpful and kind. Her attention to detail was much appreciated. We will definitely make return visits.

Nice Getaway

I have brain cancer. We visited the Duke Cancer Center Friday morning and drove out Friday afternoon for a couple of days getaway. It was so peaceful and nice. It was a great way to escape the cancer for a couple of days. Everything was as described and Gemma was easy to get in touch with if we had any issues. Everything was perfect. Enjoyed beautiful place and view! Close to a fabulous restaurant. (Joseph's) also enjoyed short trip to downtown Southport for museums and shopping. Favorite dining in Southport was Mr. P's!

Exemplary!

This property overlooks a peaceful harbor which can be vierwed from a covered porch furnished with comfortable chairs and a dining set. The apartment was spotless and the owner made sure that everything a renter could need was available. The linens, towels, toiletries and bedding were all top notch. The kitchen was well equipped.The location is excellent, close to the beach and Southport. The restaurants nearby are serve delicious food. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thank you Gemma!

Relaxing View

A great weekend getaway with such a relaxing view from the patio and a great space inside too. We walked to dinner two nights and both restaurants were very good. Rusty Hook sitting at the tiki bar with a sunset view was my favorite. Such a close drive to Caswell and Oak Island beaches. We enjoyed exploring Southport. The host was wonderful! We have another stay booked in a few weeks. Next time we hope to take the ferry over to Bald Head island for a little day trip.

Immaculate condo on the marina. Beautifully appointed. Well stocked. Wonderful views and cozy porch overlooking the water. Comfy bed! Host was so easy to work with and very welcoming. Two restaurants next door and both were delicious. Without question, would stay again!

My Dream Condo

This condo is wonderful. I went for a business/relocation trip and wanted somewhere that felt like a home. Gemma has thought of everything someone would need to be comfortable.. including a tea kettle, which I told her was a nice surprise. The location is a dream, right on the marina. The beach decor was just right and everything was clean and tidy. Wish I could live there forever.
