Clayton is home to several amazing restaurants to meet your taste. Fortify Kitchen and Bar has elevated new American fare & craft cocktails. Love some hometown cooking, then you will enjoy Clayton Cafe. The Clayton Market is attached to the Cafe offering an assortment of delicious bakery items and drinks. Fortify Pi offers craft pizza, sandwiches, salads, wings, local beer and wine. The Spotted Pig is known for its tender, smoky meats & mouth-watering sides. The Universal Joint is a neighborhood favorite serving eclectic chow, from burgers to egg rolls, plus a full bar in airy digs. These are just a sampling of the many local restaurants in the area.
Clayton is a great place to visit if you are an outdoor enthusiast. It is close to three state parks: Tallulah Gorge, Black Rock Mountain State Park, and Moccasin Creek. Lake Burton offers various fishing opportunities and water sports. There are quite a number of hiking areas, many of which lead to waterfalls, such as Angel Falls and Panther Falls, Hemlock Falls, Minnehaha Falls, Dicks Creek Falls, and Bartram Trail. Shady Creek Expeditions offers guided outdoor adventures in the Northeast Georgia Mountains. Visit the guide and outfitters shop at 56 N Main Street. There are also several local golf courses including Kingwood Resort and Winery and Rabun County Golf Club. For those extra adventurous, you may want to consider white water rafting down the Chattooga River. There is so much to do and enjoy while staying in the town of Clayton, Ga.

Enjoyed our stay, very nice, spacious and well equiped kitchen, had many amenities in bathrooms. This Condo is very centrally located, great food on Main street. I come to Clayton often my daughters live nearby, I definitely recommend this Condo.

Enjoyed our stay. House was very clean. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. Wonderful towels. I was surprised to find that one of the full bathrooms was in the basement rec room. It worked out fine for us but I was expecting two bathrooms on the second floor with the three bedrooms. I could not tell from the online description where the bathrooms were located. The house was very conveniently located near downtown Clayton, close to restaurants, shops, grocery store and church. We were very pleased with the rental and would recommend it.

Quick weekend getaway

This townhouse was perfect for our family weekend with 8 people. There was plenty of space for adults and kids. The house was well appointed with everything we needed! We would definitely stay again.

Great place! Loved it!

We had a wonderful stay …. Everything was perfect! We were a group of seven so the four bedrooms and 3 bathrooms worked out great! Super clean, comfortable and in a very convenient location with room enough for 3 vehicles. Would stay here again - highly recommend! Angie is a great host too and even had welcoming chips and salsa!

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful weekend and have already booked the townhouse for another stay. Walkable to restaurants and shops in downtown Clayton. The grandkids loved the playroom, and we liked that it was separate from the living room area. Very clean, convenient, and comfortable.

Clean house in convenient location

I've stayed at this property twice now, for several nights at a time. Both stays have been positive experiences, and I will try to book this house again if I'm back in Clayton.- Clean and modern, everything worked- Photos and descriptions are accurate- Comfortable bed- Ample hot water and good water pressure in shower- Although it's a townhome unit, the neighbors have all been quiet both times I've stayed here- Very close to downtown Clayton, less than 2 minute drive and approximately 10 minute walk to the main street with shops and restaurants

Great for a group!

The house was great, and had everything we needed for cooking and relaxing. It's perfect for a group, with plenty of space for everyone to spread out and do their own thing, but also with areas big enough for everyone to sit together and talk. It was extremely convenient to the places we wanted to go to in Clayton, taking just a few minutes to get to restaurants and shopping. Communication with the host was excellent. We'll definitely use this location the next time we have a large group staying in Clayton.

Great place for multigenerational family stay.

The location was tops since we wanted walking distance to downtown Clayton. The townhome was clean and almost new. Our 4 grandchildren and the adults loved the foosball, ping pong, and air hockey tables on the terrace level. We cook a lot on vacation, so the well appointed kitchen was appreciated. We were impressed with the large bedrooms and comfortable beds. Hiking trails and playgrounds were a quick drive. The only suggestion we had was to have more lighting in the two living areas for reading and evening activities.

The best weekend!

This was a great place to stay. Very close to downtown Clayton. Very quiet street. Owner was fabulous to work with. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to family and friends who may be traveling to Clayton. We loved the welcome gift of chips and salsa. It was some of the best salsa we have had that wasn't from a restaurant. We had plenty of space for sleeping and gathering together as a family. I loved the Shampoo in the bathrooms. I think I will be buying some for myself! We were there for a weekend of hiking and celebrating my sons 22nd birthday. We are already discussing making this an annual trip! So much to do in beautiful little Clayton!

New Condo

Perfe ct for a couple with teenage children. Beautiful Primary suite on main level. Games on lower lever with full bath. 4 bedrooms, 5 beds on upper level with small sitting area. High ceilings, new appliances, new decor. A challenge if every one is single due to distribution of the 3 bathrooms. One on each level without a bedroom on lower level. Great communication with owner. Close to town of Clayton. Enjoyed our stay
