Williebear Cabin Screamer Mountain

Situé dans les belles montagnes Blue Ridge surplombant la petite ville pittoresque de Clayton, Ga. Près de nombreuses activités ou tout simplement pour se détendre. Rafting sur la rivière Whitewater, pêche au golf, d'excellents restaurants et une vue imprenable sur Black Rock Mountain et les montagnes environnantes. Nous sommes situés à 7 miles au sud de la Caroline du Nord et à 5 miles à l'ouest de la Caroline du Sud. Si vous cherchez Gatlinburg, vous voudrez peut-être continuer à chercher, mais si vous souhaitez visiter Gatlinburg, nous sommes à une heure et demie plein sud. La plupart de l'eau en Géorgie provient de nos montagnes et nous avons la chance de posséder de nombreux lacs et rivières, le Chattooga étant le joyau de la couronne des rivières d'eau vive du sud. Le lac Burton, Seed, Rabun, Tallulah et Tugelo, Yonah sont tous très proches. Beaucoup d'activités dans la région ou simplement assis sur le porche et en regardant une belle vue. Si vous aimez le vin, il y a beaucoup de vignobles. Helen la belle petite ville bavaroise est de 38 miles au sud-ouest et un lecteur facile. S'IL VOUS PLAÎT NOTE étant dans les montagnes, c'est une "allée de montagne" mais elle est courte et tout en béton et très stable. UTILISEZ UN ENGRENAGE BAS. Remarque pour les nouveaux arrivants dans la région, il y a des livres sous forme de magazine appelé "The Wayward Traveller" sur place avec beaucoup de choses à faire, des endroits pour manger, etc. Très informatif et pour votre usage. Nous envoyons également un paquet "courrier d'escargot" avec beaucoup de choses à faire et à voir.

The Place was great! Clean and Cozy! just what we were looking for. Secluded without being far from town. The view was beautiful. We couldn't have been happier! Mr Bill is just the nicest person in the world and truly enjoyed chatting with him about the area. I highly recommend this cabin! Even had a small bear pop by for just a second. We will be back!

Perfect location and amazing communication

My husband and I had a terrific stay at the cabin, which is in the most ideal location to town. It is secluded to give you the “getaway” feel while being 5 minutes away from town for anything we needed. The property manager sent us the most helpful details to easily find the cabin, was always accessible to contact if we needed anything, and provided a bunch of pamphlets to find fun places to eat and visit. Would 100% stay again. Thank you!

This house was awesome. The view was spectacular. They had any and all our needs. They also were kind enough to have small travel size bathroom stuff if you forgot anything. Over all it was one of the best stays we have had.

Willie Bear Cabin = Pure Magic

We had the best time at the cabin this past weekend. Not only does it have the best view, but we were able to find the best hikes in the area too. We will definitely be coming back to this cabin in the future. As many other guests have mentioned, the driveway is certainly a bit of a challenge but it adds to the mystique of the cabin.

Comfortable cabin in Clayton

The cabin was as listed. It is a roomy 3 level interior. Very convenient to popular tourist destinations. The views of Clayton and the mountains were very nice. The downside was the steep driveway with limited turnaround to go back down the driveway.

Very comfortable and gorgeous view!

The cabin was great- had everything you could need and very comfy. Close to a lot of attractions. The driveway is a little tricky but the gorgeous view is worth it. My only issue was that there was confusion about getting into the cabin and I tried calling the owner several times but got no response. He apologized but that was very frustrating.

We didn't stay because we walked in and the house smelled like pet urine, dirty sheets, filthy floors, dog hair all over the furniture, cigarette butts in an ashtray, used deodorant and toothbrushes for guest to use. The refrigerator was full of opened food. I called the host and he apologized and said he would refund my money because I left.But 3 days later , the host sent me an ugly email saying everything I said was not true. He also said the bad review that was listed July 17 was going to be removed because that person lied as well. So be aware, because I don't know where all the excellent reviews came from because the place is definitely not a 10. I hesitated to do a review since he refunded my money but after his ugly disrespectful email to me I changed my mind. I didn't want anyone else to get scammed like me with the uncleaness. The only good thing about the place was the view.

Excellent Vacation

We really enjoyed weekend at this special cabin. The cabin was plenty big enough for our party of eight (5 adults and 3 children). The cabin layout was great, the view spectacular, and the cabin is very close to town… a big plus for our group. We really appreciated the owners having the cabin stocked with toiletries and all kitchen essentials. Apparently, there were complaints about the steep driveway, but if you want the peaceful isolation of a beautiful mountainside lot, the driveway is part of the package. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this special home and look forward to our next stay!

Williebear Cabin

Williebear is a welcoming cabin with a beautiful view. It has everything you need! Bill does a wonderful job with his communication on the rental. We knew the driveway was going to be a little intense but we had no problems with it. The parking at the midway point worked out very well for us. I would recommend this cabin and will return. Well-appointed Mountain Cabin with Fantastic Views

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Willie Bear Cabin. The views over the nearby mountains are superb and the cabin is well located for exploring Clayton and the north Georgia mountains. The driveway is a little tricky at first but you soon get the hang of it (we had a Nissan Kicks which coped fine) and the payoff is well worth the effort. The cabin is well appointed with everything you might need including a full kitchen, comfy beds and good shower. The fireplace was a particular treat on cold nights. Bill was a very welcoming and informative host as well.

Family Vacation - 2020 COVID

Bill was the perfect host. He sent us two care packages well ahead of our arrival with specific directions and points of interest. I am glad he warned us about the driveway as it was very steep - his advice was to put it in low and go... The cabin itself was perfect for our vacation - well appointed, decorated, stocked and centrally located with gorgeous mountain views. I would give this property a higher rating if the website would let me. Our entire family and our dog Lila thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This property has it all. It is comfortable and cozy with a beautiful view.Large enough for a family with plenty of activities in the area or just sitting on the porch isn't bad.Firewood is always down below the porch for you to use.PLEASE NO MOTORCYCLES OR 4 WHEELERS.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

We purchased Williebear Cabin July 2008.It was built in 1999 but never used.We looked at many properties in the area and many had a 'winter view'.Not this one.The view is panoramic and the highlights are Black Rock Mountain,Pinnacle and Saddle Gap North Carolina.This home has the cozy appeal but also has plenty of room for 8-10 people.It is on 2 1/2 levels and is mainly wood floors and walls.The fireplace is stone and puts out a lot of heat.It is updated often and well maintained.All systems are checked regularly for best performance
