Extra Large Authentic Chicago Graystone walk to Wrigley, Lakefront & Restaurants
Huge, architecturally delightful, stone mansion located in East Lakeview, 2 blocks from the lake, walking distance to shopping, dining, entertainment and transportation. Fully updated and furnished exquisitely with plenty of "work from home" space and powerful WIFI throughout. There is even an outdoor bistro with tables and chairs to enjoy the sun. Everything is provided, just bring your toothbrush; full kitchen, laundry, bath & shower, towels, dishes, cooking utensils are all included.
We are from MS and got concert tickets to Stray Kids at Wrigley Field. We found this amazing place to stay during our time in Chicago. The owner greeted us upon arrival and the place was amazing. Will co.e back to Chicago and book this place again.
Great property! More than enough space for our family of 6! The large rooms gave the kids and adults their own space to kickback and relax. The only drawback was the noise from the neighbors above and/or below, but thatâs to be expected in the city in the summer when the Cubs are in town!
The apartment was very spacious and we all enjoyed the energy drinks in the mini fridge. Bathrooms were clean and the rooms were very comfortable for all of us! It was great being able to relax in the living room as well with all the couches and have access to all the televisions. We were able to see everything that we wanted to see in Chicago because of how close we were to the Belmont train station! We really enjoyed our trip!
Extremely comfortable and tasteful furnishings. Kitchen was well equipped for meal preparation for our group of five. The host was very responsive before, during, and after our stay.
Grest location with lake, grocery, restaurants within walking distance. Well stocked kitchen. Host very easy to reach and quick to answer questions. Looking forward to staying again!
Amazing location, especially if you're catching a Cubs game or hanging out in Wrigleyville. Place was clean and had plenty of space for our group of 9. Highly recommend!
The location is great, the property is clean, large and well cared for and the communication was quick and helpful. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to all. We had a nice stay in this Vrbo property.
The property and its owner were perfect for our trip.
It comfortably slept our large group and was in the middle of a very nice, safe, and centralized location. Aside from the sleeping, the shared spaces and bathrooms were also spacious and well maintained.
The property was clean, the owner was very responsive and I look forward to staying here again!
Property perfectly accommodated our group of eight adults. The place was clean and had a great gathering area with a large tv. Location was perfect and only a 22 min stroll to Wrigley Field!
This property was very clean and spacious and is in such a great location! My family had a great time and we werenât on top of each otherâŠ.and Will was a wonderful host!
We will be definitely coming again for our annual family reunion!
We usually stay at nicer hotels downtown when we visit the city. We wanted to try something different and get a feel for living in the city for a few days. We were not disappointed. The house was SUPER clean. Very welcoming. Easy to get comfy and start relaxing and having fun. Short 20 minute walk to Wrigley field was a bonus. Lots of great spots nearby to eat and shop. You will love it!
My father went hospice days before my reservation (and ultimately passed that weekend), so I tried communicating with host as soon as able to switch my reservation. He would not respond to my messages until I called VRBO who connected me with him. Despite this he still posed several hoops to jump through when attempting to reschedule. Disappointing lack of humanity.
Our family of 3 + a guest and a couple of dogs spent a week in Chicago. Our son is a baseball player and didnât want to go to the beachâŠhe wanted to go to Chicago for Opening Day at Wrigley. What a terrific week. âClub Salonâ was a perfect home base for a week of baseball, pizza, museums and a fantastic musical at the nearby Apollo Theater (easily walkable). The boys walked to Wrigley every morning to play catch. The neighborhood is fantastic for dog walking. There are several excellent restaurants (not just pizza) within walking distance and a couple of grocery stores close byâŠincluding at TJâs. The unit itself was wonderful. Clean, spacious, well-equipped, with convenient parking for a single vehicle. The beds and pillows were comfortable. While we did not need our host during the stay for any issues, Bill was responsive within a few minutes when we told him weâd be checking out early on our departure date.
We look forward to visiting Chicago in the future for more Cubs Wâs. I hope Club Salon is available when we return.

We had 2 families of 5 stay here while we had runners in the marathon. Amazing location for spectating. Very comfortable for all of us. Only downside was the upstairs neighbors partying until 3 am despite us going up twice and asking them to be quiet. It was like a techno party in the entire house even though they only had one floor of it. Nothing the property had control over. Thankfully they were respectful the night before the race. I would absolutely stay again for the race experience it provided.
Myself and my extended family had a lovely stay here, our second year in a row at the house. Everything was clean and the house is well appointed with anything you need. The location is perfect! It got a bit loud on the floor above us with parties but thatâs to be expected with such a large space. Our family really enjoyed it and will be doing it again next year for our family reunion!
The apartment is clean and large, stocked with everything you need. The owner is easy to communicate with and responds quickly.
We took advantage of the large kitchen and dining room or walked to loads of breakfast cafes and restaurants. Stanâs Donuts, Wilde, Fancy Plants, the Chicago Diner, Uncommon Grounds, and many others.
Another plus is how close it is to the lakefront. (2blocks) Daily walks/runs along the trails made for a perfect start to the day.
Thanks Will!
I'm an artist and real estate developer. I like creative projects like clay sculpture. I work out regularly at the nearby Xsport Fitness (2 blocks from the property) and enjoy yoga. I like to explore the city and find new things all the time (even though I've lived here all my life).
The building is an eye catching structure with solid granite foundation with gray stone facade and was built in the late 1800's by a affluent banker. The interior still has some of the grand features. The location is outstanding. Near the lively East Lakeview neighborhood, there are so many trendy shops, restaurants, bars, entertainment and the lakefront is 2 blocks away, the train station is a short walk and even Wrigley Field is nearby. Chicago's Boystown neighborhood is also a short walk from the property; offering specialized shopping and clubs and a fun atmosphere.
Very few properties in a location like this have the ample size and layout of this place. 2,300 square feet is bigger than a lot of houses. If you're traveling with a group of people, this place is perfect because you can all socialize together in the living room with the bar area and have privacy in one of the bedrooms. The sun room with dining table is also unique since it is surrounded by windows to make a bright place for breakfast or to get some work done.
The place is also decorated with interesting art pieces including oil paintings from the 1800's, oriental rugs mounted on the walls, art decco furniture and more.
The electronic locks means that you can come and go without worrying about who has the keys. This convenience alone make the place very user friendly. Your code works on the south facing garage door in the back of the building which can store 2 cars.
