Brand New for Summer 2023! Simply Zen is a luxurious, oceanside and private 1-bedroom (king bed), 1 full bath condo with a fully stocked kitchen in the heart of duck! The condo is attached to our vacation home which is not rented. The condo has a private & separate entrance. Simply Zen also offers for your use only a large and beautiful private pool with hot tub, barbecue, & corn hole toss. There is also an outside shower. You can take a very short walk to the coffee shop, ice cream shop, restaurants, boardwalk, and the most glorious sunsets. And then walk to the beach at the other end of the street to enjoy a beach private to the residents and guests of Marlin Drive. . A relaxing place to enjoy your coffee in the morning and beverages of choice in the evening. The condo is equipped with beach chairs and towels, as well as sheets and bath towels. So, what are you waiting for, pack your clothes and book your vacation with Simply Zen! New and beautiful memories are waiting for you! Adults only, no children or pets.

Anniversary Trip

We had a wonderful stay at Simply Zen and will definitely be back. Our first trip to OBX was made perfect with the beautiful accommodations. The condo is the perfect size for one couple.

Very nice place to have pool, sun, and hot tub to yourself. Nice and relaxing and fairly private. All is just a short easy walk away; beach, shops, restaurants. The owners seem to be very respectful of privacy making guests truly feel like it's Zen.

Beautiful Gem of a Property in Duck

Beautiful and well-appointed property. Great neighborhood and location near the beach, restaurants and shops. Owners were thoughtful and nice. It actually snowed the day we were to arrive, and they cleared the driveway of snow for us. Interior was smartly decorated and very clean. Thoughtful owners provided advice on local attractions and dining spots. Also provided towels for the pool and blankets for the cool weather. Great owners!

Appreciated the Welcome Video

My husband & I travel a lot, we have never had such an inviting video with instructions of remotes, hot tub as well as location of condo. Well supplied with essential. Lots of privacy, perfect location.The owner has made great use of the space, we appreciate the king bed! We walked every morning to beach to watch sunrise, saw wild horse, Jordyn State park, ate at Treehouse & Paper Canoe, shopping across the way was the best in the area. All in within walking distance.

This condo is wonderful! It is bright, airy, and spotless as well as comfortable. We loved the outdoor space and the location. We biked and walked everywhere and never needed the car. The owners were very generous in all that they left for us as far as beach gear, towels, toiletries, etc... They also sent us a welcome video so we knew where everything was and how it worked. We will definitely come back!

What a special property! It’s like a precious gem! Everything about Simply Zen exceeded our expectations. The location is perfectly placed between the beach and the town of Duck. Easy walking to both, so you never need to use your car once you arrive. The condo and backyard were very inviting, calming and very private. Both indoor and outdoor spaces were thoughtfully decorated and supplied with everything one might need or want. It was truly like a Serene Oasis and we will definitely return to Simply Zen.

SIMPLY ZEN IS SIMPLY WONDERFUL

By far this is my favorite beach rental ever. The property is lovely and well cared for. The location is perfect, on a quiet side street of private residences with a beautiful beach at one end and the town of Duck at the other, both just a short walk away. Not to mention a great swimming pool and deck in the back yard. The apartment is nicely decorated without the overdone beach theme seen in so many beach rentals. The furniture is newer and very comfortable, including the king size mattress which is where many rentals lose points in my eyes. The whole apartment was well equipped with eveything needed for casual cooking. Beach towels and bath towels were fluffy and abundant, and higher end toiletries were provided in the bath. I have already recommended Simply Zen to friends and am planning to return, perhaps as soon as next year, because it was truly the perfect choice for a beach getaway vacation.

The Perfect Rental

Honestly we were impressed! Very nice, very new, very clean, very private! The owners were super easy to communicate with and even give a great walk-around/instructional video explaining the place before you check in! Private road with a 5 minute walk to the beach. Also very close to local coffee shops and restaurants. Apartment was clean and comfortable, while you have tons of outdoor space with a pool and hot tub for a relaxing day!

Duck condo

This housing it is amazing and beautiful everything is very close by and the beach was literally right down the street and parking is real easy because the host gives you a parking pass. Very clean and nicely set up for us once you get there all you have to do is unpack and start your vacation. All the locals are all so welcoming and sweet. The neighborhood it self is nice and peaceful and quite . You truthfully would never want to leave😌

It is very Zen

From the introductory Video of the property to the quick response from the owners. Our experience staying here was the best we ever had in a VRBO unit. The location and amenities both inside and outside of the unit basically leaves you only needing your clothes and something to eat and drink. We would definitely stay here again!

OBX Treasure

The condo was so clean and so well-stocked that we thought we must be the first guests to stay there! The pool is large enough to swim laps in, and we had it all to ourselves! The location is absolutely perfect: walking distance to many shops on the main drag, as well as walking distance to the beach! We've already made our reservations for next year for a longer stay! Simply Zen = A Slice of Heaven

Perfection! Everything was absolutely perfect about our stay at Simply Zen…the condo is beyond immaculate and soooo beautiful, the location is amazing - everything is walking distance from restaurants, to shopping, and to the ocean. We had access to the pool, hot tub and outdoor shower which was such a bonus. We felt like we were at a resort everyday! Dan and Robin (the Hosts) are an absolute pleasure too. They are super nice and 100% responsive to any questions we had before and during our stay. We can’t wait to return to Simply Zen and Duck. Thank you for everything, Dan and Robin!

We had a wonderful stay at Simply Zen! It’s the perfect location between the town of Duck and the beach…each easily walkable! Dan was friendly and helpful making our stay very comfortable! The place was very clean and looked new! The private pool and hot tub were the best added perk! We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect getaway!

This was our first trip to the Outer Banks. This was a perfect getaway with everything we needed. The owners are so accommodating and responsive to any questions. The condo is very quiet and extremely clean. It’s a close walk to the beach or to the quaint town of Duck. We especially enjoyed the pool after a day at the beach. I enjoyed feeling the breeze of the ocean while relaxing at the pool. The owners thought of everything including beach chairs, towels, and umbrella just to name a few! I can’t recommend Zen enough!

We enjoyed our stay. Great place for a couple to get away and relax. Location is great, pretty much in the middle of town. You can walk to several eating spots and the beach. The swimming pool is excellent as well. The owners are very friendly and responsive. Would definitely recommend if you are visiting the area.

Perfect quiet getaway

Dan and Robins Simply Zen was a perfect, quiet getaway that had private pool and hot tub jacuzzi at our disposal. The condo had 1 king bedroom, full kitchen and nice sitting area with tv. It really lived up to the advertised accomodation and we were quite impressed. Close to many area attractions and restaurants. Simply Zen. Dave and Janelle Couldnt have been any nicer.

An Amazing 1st Family Vacation - A+

This was the first ever family vacation that my wife and our 8 month old son had ever taken together so this was a very special family trip. And we will never forget this very special place (and we will definitely be heading back to Simply Zen!) From the initial communication with the owner, Dan, all the way through the trip this was exceptional. A few things stood out - 1. The place is even better than the pictures. The inside was modern and immaculate. Very well done and very comfortable. The outdoor space is incredible. Pool and hot tub both terrific. The grill was clean and ready for use. And the seating area around the pool was where we spent a lot of our time with our young son. Comfortable chairs and lounges. It's also very private and peaceful back there. 2. Location - Another thing we loved was that it is about an equal walk to the beach as it is down a short hill into town - maybe 7 minutes each way I would guess. One morning we walked to the beach to see the sunrise and then we walked into town for Duck Donuts. You can easily walk to lots of places in town. If you are looking to stay somewhere that is elevated in terms of quality - but also easy and comfortable to manage - this is where I would recommend. It made our first family vacation memorable - I don't think I could give the place, or Dan, a better complement than that. Oh also, he even had a pack and play set up for us when we arrived for our son to sleep in. How's that for service?!

Great Location & Relaxing Property

Excellent communication with property owner. A great location to explore the beach and the town of Duck. An easy walk or bike ride to the boardwalk or the trail in the town of Duck. Several great restaurants in downtown Duck The property was great, allowing us to unwind by the pool or in the hot tub. We will definitely be back.
