Fern Cottage is the main house of a charming 3 unit guest property. It is only a 5 minute walk to the heart of Main street. It is a romantic cottage perfect for couples looking for that getaway in Texas wine country. Inside enjoy a jacuzzi tub, king bed, living area with pull out sofa and kitchenette. Outside enjoy the large shared patio with gas fire pit and shared hot tub; perfect for enjoying wine and conversation under the stars. This property is truly one of the best locations in town!
The perfect home in the perfect location for a weekend getaway! It was two blocks from Main Street making it easy to walk on over to explore and enjoy the town!
Lovely home. Perfect for 2. Convenient location, only 2 blocks from Main St. Easy Check in/ Access to the home. Quiet neighborhood. Owner response was prompt and helpful.
This place was clean, cute and quaint. Communication with the owner was responsive and fast. The only thing is that I wish I has more time to enjoy the hot tub outside. Will definitely book this place the next time I am in FBG!
Great location; clean, olde timey house with modern upgrades; nice amenities. As of this review in December 2024, the owner very recently renovated the kitchen to be a full kitchen with all appliances (minus a dishwasher) and most basic cookware you'd need if preparing easy meals at home. Very nice kitchen renovation! Good communication with the property manager as well.
The house was nice but had a moldy smell. Had to buy a plug in air freshener and lysol to take the smell away. Was getting a headache with the moldy smell. Cob webs and dirty behind dresser. Would have expected a cleaner place to enjoy a nice stay.
Perfect for the two of us for the eclipse. What I appreciated the most is that this property didnât price gouge. The historic cottage was very quaint, loved the wood floors, tall ceilings and doors. It is a vintage property and there is some road noise but the walking distance to everything made up for any small issues. The bed and couch were comfy, tvâs worked great and climate control was nice. Lots of birds and squirrels out back in the mornings who joined me for coffee. Didnât use the hot tub but took a look and it was clean and hot. Communication was easy as well.
Tip: When walking to Main Street head out the back of the property and take a right then left. We really enjoyed the coffee at Rockhaus Coffee.
This property is very well kept and clean. Extremely close to the main street, very much within walking distance. The only major issue was with the wireless network. Its extremely slow and is not fast enough to support the TV's for streaming. I needed to log into my laptop for work and could not accomplish that because of the speed. I would also make some comments in regards to the shower/bath tub. This is a jacuzzi style tub with a shower head above the tub. This worked fine for us, but if guest older than us may have a hard time getting into the tub since its about 2.5 to 3 feet above the floor to step into the tub. Eric was very responsive and allowed us to get into the property an hour early. I would certainly stay again, the location is wonderful.
