This gorgeous large room-studio has vaulted ceilings, hand crafted, with wine barrel staves. This spacious studio has all the upscale amenities one could ever desire... Amazing Lake view, gas fireplace, 70-inch TV, indoor-outdoor bar, with electric garage door-window, accordion 3 door sliders that completely open onto a large deck. The lake has all kinds of wildlife... geese, ducks, birds, egrets, cranes, frogs, deer, fox, etc
 The kitchen is fully equipped, with high end appliances and cookware. Everything is brand new! There is a Speed-Queen washer and dryer. The marble bathroom floors & shower floors are heated. The shower has vaulted ceilings with a huge skylight. The toilet includes a remote with bidet features and a heated seat. The property has a custom barn with mules and goats, 2 vineyards, a kidney shaped pool, your deck has a spacious 8–10-person spa. Take a walk around the lake and property, to see the vegetable and herb garden, sample the grapes and meet the animals. We are also just a short walk to the local bar, restaurant and market. Enjoy the gas fire pit, on the deck, above the pool area. There is a grill at the pool area and also on your deck, right outside your sliders, to the right. Please come and enjoy this little slice of heaven.

Check-in was very easy . The kitchen was well stocked and beautiful. We loved that there was a hot tub on our deck and a short walk to the pool. The bed was very nice and I loved the little couch for relaxing and reading a book. We would stay here again.

A Lovely Getaway

I picked this place for a solo writing retreat and it was great! Clean, beautiful room with peaceful surroundings. I enjoyed walking around the lake and through the vineyards. There's also a little town with a couple of restaurants in short walking distance.

Our stay was great! The only downside was that there was another vrbo family staying on the same property (same shared porch) and there are no shades on the windows (only the doors) so we didn’t feel like we had good privacy from these neighbors. We also weren’t aware that there would be guests that would be so close by so this removed some of the romance of the trip. Melinda and Jerry were great!

This VRBO was a dream — spacious, quiet, and thoughtfully designed down to every detail. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the fully-equipped kitchen was perfect for cooking, and the deck was a beautiful place to relax with coffee and a book. Everything felt intentional and high quality, from the linens to the lighting. Melinda & Jerry are also fantastic, generous and responsive hosts!

We had an amazing weekend! Our toddler had a blast riding along on Jerry’s golf cart, falling in love with Midnight the curious cat, and bribing the horses with carrots. The pool and hot tub kept the whole family entertained, and the fresh eggs and chilled chardonnay were such a nice touch. We enjoyed a lovely evening chat with Jerry and are bummed we didn’t get to meet Melinda, who was out of town. Huge thanks to Jerry for being such a wonderful host!

I truly enjoyed my stay at this property. The amenities were plentiful, the room amazing, and the grounds peaceful. The deck and views are calming especially from the hot tub. The room is spacious, pristinely cleaned, and overall luxurious. We truly enjoyed our stay and would gladly return.

Amazing stay

Our stay was so lovely and luxurious, from the pond views and gas tiki torches to the little extras, like fancy toothbrushes and a bottle of wine. The owners have put so much work into the property and into this space, and it shows! They are also lovely people who helped us with anything we needed. One of the best stays we've had anywhere.

Perfect getaway

This was by far one of the best places we have stayed in. The owners of the property were wonderful to communicate with and the property itself was welcoming, comfortable, and truly exceeded what we had been expecting. We will definitely be making this place a staple during our California visits. While visiting family, we were able to share the beauty of this place with them, and needless to say, they were impressed. They have already started talking about planning their own staycation at this property for themselves. Would 100% recommend again and again.

Perfect weekend getaway

Melinda and Jerry were amazing host. I came with two French friends to have a relax time and they treat us like a five starts hotel and more. The amenities were as described. They have a hot tub, big pool, fire and pit, and the view of a lake were I did my yoga session. Is the perfect place in the middle of vineyards to relax and enjoy the nice weather. Thank you Melinda and Jerry, can’t wait to come back soon 💕

Fantastic Oasis!

This property was exactly as it is described. We did some wine tasting, a little site seeing and a whole lot of just lounging by the pool and floating and playing cards on the deck. The Barrel Room has everything you need and was super comfortable. We will definitely return with friends and will also be bringing the whole family back.next year. This Oasis is loved and it shows.

A Beautiful & Relaxing Place!

Staying in the Barrel Room guest-house on this gated estate was like staying at a resort spa. The beautiful, light-filled guest house was meticulously designed, comfortably furnished, thoughtfully-organized and had warm lighting. The kitchen and bathroom were both luxurious, high-end and well-provisioned. The grounds surrounding the guest-house were as meticulously designed and thoughtfully-organized as the house itself, with plump, pinot noir and cabernet sauvignon grapes ripe on the vine. We enjoyed a glass or two of wine and a wonderful visit with Melinda and Jerry the evening before our departure, making our wonderful stay all the more memorable and one that we won't soon forget!

Beautiful oasis

My husband and I were able to enjoy this beautiful spot as we got away for a few days. The owners have put in so much time, and have included literally everything you might ever need in the home. They were so helpful along the way to answer our questions, both before arriving and while on site. The space is so beautiful as well - from the ceiling, to the kitchen, bathroom, there is nothing in there that wasn’t well thought out and planned. The location on their little lake made for beautiful mornings to read outside, and the breeze in the evening was amazing. We highly recommend staying here if you are in the area as you are in for a real treat!

Relaxing getaway -1 hr from Santa Rosa

We needed a calm getaway over Thanksgiving break after a hard semester at school and work. We arrived late Sunday night and let ourselves in. Its a brand new cool building with super cool features, I won't spoil it, and a nice hot tub on your private deck. Perfect! Then in the morning you can see the view of the lake that was hiding in the dark. Bonus, there are animals on the property for the animal lover in the family and some walks amongst the vines nearby -something for everyone. Thankful for this quick well appointed getaway.

Incredible property and warm hospitality

Our family of 4 stayed here on a road trip with our 4yo and 11mo. The Barrel Room is gorgeous - attention has been paid to every detail: from the waterfall shower head and marble tile to the hand carved bed frame, luxury bedding, indoor/outdoor feel, and of course the wine barrel stave ceiling. The stocked fridge and farm-fresh eggs were a delightful treat. Melinda and Jerry were the best hosts. They gave us a full tour of the property, took our 4yo daughter to feed the goats, and gave us full access. We enjoyed the deck and an evening soak in the hot tub at sunset. This was a luxury stay and we will certainly find a reason to come back again!

Perfect except for the Light filtering drapes

We loved all the wonderful amenities, luxurious touches, and beautiful decor. Unfortunately, we were awoken every morning by the bright morning sun, whether or not we had slept late (or not slept well - we had our young toddler with us) the night before, due to the lack of blackout or room darkening drapes/blinds covering the windows. We inquired, but no such drapes/blinds were available, so our sleep suffered making the vacation a little worse than it could've been.

Beautiful house and grounds and wonderful hosts

My wife and I and our two adult children stayed with Melinda and Jerry over the Thanksgiving long weekend. The property was beautiful and the house was lovely. We ended up staying in the Lake Cottage and not the Barrel Room, just because the cottage had a larger table which was a bit better for the four of us - Melinda was so kind to be flexible and allowed us to choose between the two apartments. And to cap it off, she and Jerry gave us two bottles of local organic wine (unfiltered and no label!) which was great and a perfect match for our Thanksgiving leftovers. Wish we had more time to explore the grounds; this place would make for an idyllic stay with warmer Summer weather. We explored the Hendy Woods state park, which was about 45 minutes away and the Mendocino coast, about an hour and a half from here via a winding mountain highway - absolutely beautiful!

Wow!

What an oasis in northern wine country! Our family stayed at this beautiful place for 3 weeks! We rented both the Barrell Room and the Lake Cottage and it was perfect for our family. The Barrell Room was so comfortable and the details were amazing! The wine barrell ceiling is a work of art! The hosts, Jerry and Melinda, have worked so hard to provide such a beautiful and relaxing place. The property is gated and a wonderful oasis in a beautiful area of the Redwood Valley outside of Ukiah. From the outdoor sitting areas and the pool and hot tubs to the indoor comfortable beds and awesome bathroom! There’s heated floors in the bathroom in the Barrell Room and the rainforest shower with so many bells and whistles it’s like a spa. The large deck leads down to a gorgeous grassy area with so many beautiful California plants and flowers! And the view of the lake and wildlife was awesome! The new hot tub was amazing! The pool area was comfortable with great pool furniture and well maintained and fun! Places to grill, tiki torches and outdoor fire pit make evening fun complete! The barn with goats and two mules and the vineyards all on the property made our morning walks so much fun! The kitchen was stocked with everything needed including condiments and spices and even bathroom and paper product supplies were furnished! Thank you, Jerry and Melinda! We will return!
