History preserved. Edisto as intended. Comfy and classic. A cup of coffee on the back porch with the ocean view will restore your soul. An original beach cottage. Kick off your shoes and enjoy the ocean sounds and views.
Brought back so many memories of my childhood vacations on Edisto. Rustic, simple and absolutely perfect. Highlight of the trip was the kids experiencing a hatching sea turtle nest right in front of the house. Kitchen gets a little warm if you are cooking but nothing a provided box fan canât solve. Perfect back porch complete with cozy swinging couch for a good read or afternoon nap. Comfortable beds and everything was very clean. Well stocked with all the necessities.
Built in 1934, this is the little cottage that could! Charming. Free spirited. Authentic. Not too big and not too small - perfect for a family of 5. Breathtaking ocean views. Steps to the ocean from a covered porch. Sofa swing that provided endless hours of peaceful reading with a guaranteed coastal breeze. A delightful little kitchen with all the amenities. Hostess with the mostess. And a shabby chic decorating style that would make Rachel Ashwell smile. Another guest simply left in his comments, âGuess the secret is out.â ShhhhâŠ..donât tell anyone!
I canât say enough about the location of this house. We were steps from the ocean with a nice Sandy area right at the bottom of the steps for the kids to play. It was so ideal. The house as described is old timey beach house but very charming. The furniture is worn, but very comfortable with lots of room in the living room for the kids and the adults. Roxanne was quick to respond to my questions extremely accommodating. We hope to come back next year for an enjoyable, relaxing, memory making stay at Edisto Beach.
