20’ X 20’ Newly refurbished studio apartment above detached garage for a romantic getaway, 1 child families, Girls’ Weekend or just one person who wants some peace and quiet! Walk down the steps and this view is what you see. Grab a couple of chairs and enjoy the best sunsets in the world! Walking distance to three beaches. Public beach (general admission but free parking if want to drive 1 minute), marina beach (shorter walk but can’t drive there), or closer walk to secluded beach. Short driving distance to some of the best towns to explore on Upper Bay – Chesapeake City (15 minutes), Northeast (.5 hour), Chestertown (.5 hour), Rock Hall ( 45 minutes), Saint Michaels ( I hour). Annapolis is a scenic one hour drive. Check out a different town or two each day! 3 WINERIES ARE 15 MINUTES OR LESS AWAY. Great hiking. Local restaurant in beach for great comfort food or just a drink is walking distance from property. Other restaurants are 15 minutes away. Amenities include: parking for one vehicle, free Wi-Fi, access to outside shower, central air, beach chairs to watch sunsets, towels, sheets, cooler, free bags of ice etc. 2 Night minimum, have to be over 25 years of age, no smoking, no pets. Access to park Waverunner/small boat in nearby Lot. Local boat ramp with fee for small boats. Cheaper rates for weekdays and Fall Season. COME SEE WHAT THE UPPER CHESAPEAKE BAY IS ALL ABOUT!

This was such a wonderful stay with such an amazing view. The whole community would come out on their golf carts and watch the sunset each evening over the Chesapeake. We had such great hosts and the space was clean and well maintained. Definitely would recommend.

It was a wonderful stay in a quiet neighborhood. Early morning walks and watching the sunset in the evening were a plus. We also traveled to Chesapeake city and Havre de Grace.Hostess was very welcoming and friendly.

The accomodations were VERY nice. The wifi was not sufficient for me to work in the room, but they allowed us to sit on the deck and work instead.

Anniversary Get Away!!

My husband and I had a great stay at this VRBO. The hosts were very nice and accommodating. The rental was clean, cozy and perfect for the two of us. The surrounding area is full of things to do ..for some places a 30 plus minute drive will be needed. We got to capture 2 beautiful sunsets on camera - amazing!

They really are the best sunsets!

Very friendly personable couple. They anwsered any and all questions we had in advance before finalizing the rental. The place was perfect for the 2 of us. Everythings new inside and out and very well kept. Would definitely would stay there again.

Relax your weekend away here!

This lovely apartment next to the main house was exactly as listed. Views of the water, gorgeous sunsets and hosts that could not be nicer or more accomodating. I've never left a rental with fresh tomatoes in my life! We will surely return.

Beautiful Property & Wonderful Host

Betty Ann’s property was exactly as described. The personal touches of full ice trays, cooler, a well-stocked kitchen and welcome snacks really show the care and thought Betty Ann takes in her rental. The sunsets are even more gorgeous than described- and literally 20 steps away. We loved our stay so much, we booked our next stay while we were there :) Keep in mind you are above the owners garage, so you make hear their use of it at any time!

Peaceful getaway

Friendly and nice hosts. The room is very clean and decorated in a nautical theme . There are welcoming touches such as snacks and beach chairs and an umbrella . We were given delicious tomatoes from the garden . How kind and thoughtful . Keep in mind access to the room is via a tall staircase . While you have a side view of the water from the window if you Walk about 150 ft you will have a direct beautiful vew of the water This is a place to visit if you are seeking quiet and tranquility

Weekend Getaway

My boyfriend and I wanted a quiet weekend away and found this cute little place and knew it would be perfect! We were not wrong. The place was awesome! Clean, comfortable, and the host are very friendly. The bay is steps away which we enjoyed sitting out each morning drinking our coffee. The place was fully stocked with everything we needed and I’m sure if we needed anything BettyAnn would provide it or let us know where to get it. We didn’t get to see a full sunset because we had left for dinner and the other 2 nights it rained but what we did see was absolutely beautiful! I highly recommend this beautiful place to everyone. Definitely a 10 out of 10.

Like visiting family in a beautiful place!

I can’t say enough about our stay with the hosts of this property. The studio is spacious and comfortable, decorated beautifully and was as neat and clean as a pin. There is a gorgeous water view from the window beside the bed, and our hosts were kind enough to leave us bottled water and a snack! We have never gone anywhere and had enough ice - no problem here they make their own! We were greeted warmly, provided beach chairs and an umbrella which unfortunately we didn’t get to use. In any case, we’ll be back!!!

Amazing Getaway!

If you live in the DMV and are looking for the perfect nearby getaway that will require minimal planning and stress -- this is your place. You can see the Bay from your bedroom window! You are out of the city lights and can see stars in the sky! There is fresh air! Walking along the bay is a few steps away. Take charcuterie and wine supplies and getaway from it all here! We loved having wine at Broken Spoke. We did not enjoy dinner at Chesapeake Inn -- I would skip that spot if I were you! But try other local favorites in the nearby downtown. Coffee on the Bay makes delicious lattes!

We had to delay our stay at this wonderful place until this past weekend and were rewarded with three days of spectacular sunsets, lovely fall colors, terrific seafood, and European-quality wines from local Maryland and Delaware vintners. (We highly recommend Crow Vineyard and Winery). The room itself was perfect for us, with a well-stocked kitchen, comfy bed and cozy living room. Hostess extraordinaire Betty Ann Baffone was always available to answer our questions and provide local recommendations that were always spot on. The bench on the beach just a few steps from the property was the perfect place for sunsets and boat watching. We will definitely be back! If we could award more than five stars, we would. Thanks, Betty Ann!

Property was just as described, beautiful and fully stocked. We saw a beautiful sunset the night we arrived. Neighbors were friendly. The weather wasn't as nice as we hoped so we did check out a day early. I definitely recommend this property and we would stay here again!

It is a cute cozy space that my husband and I went to celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary. The owners, Betty Ann and Gery, were very nice and accommodating. They also made great recommendations for restaurants and places to go. The views were breathtaking and we were able to ride our bikes around for miles. It was exactly what we wanted for a weekend away to relax and enjoy our time together!

Anniversary Trip

My husband and I were there for our anniversary weekend. Hosts were very friendly, had good recommendations, and place was modern and clean! We enjoyed the beach area, sunsets and walks in the neighborhood. We brought our own kayaks and fished... caught lots of catfish!! We brought our bikes for Chesapeake City.We enjoyed the Bohemia Manor Winery nearby. Great sunsets and great memories! Thanks again!
