Blackberry Ridge Cabin est une cabane en rondins de luxe située dans une communauté fermée à quelques minutes de l'autoroute 74. Cette cabine est située sur la crête de la montagne env. 2689 élévation, proche et loin de tout. La cabine est située à env. À 7 minutes des épiceries, des fast-foods, des nettoyeurs à sec, du glacier, des stations-service et des restaurants. Il est également à 10 minutes du casino de Harrah, des promenades en hélicoptère, de la réservation Cherokee, des magasins, des rivières, de la pêche et du zoo / parc d'attractions pour les enfants. La propriété est également à 15 minutes du rafting en eaux vives, des tubes, de l'équitation, des promenades en train pittoresque, y compris le centre-ville de Silva avec des magasins et des pubs, à 30 minutes de Maggie Valley où vous avez du ski, des tubes, des traîneaux et des parcs d'attractions, à 50 minutes d'Asheville est les domaines Biltmore et Gatlingburg Tennessee. La cabine offre une vue de chaque pièce: les chambres donnent sur le parc national des Smoky Mountains. Great Getaway

Awesome stay, great views. House was clean and secluded. The drive up the mountain was an adventure in itself. Wasn't as bad as it seemed though. Will DEFINITELY be back!

Heaven On Earth

We have stayed at this house multiple times, and each time we do, it’s better than before!!! We actually live in a cabin (in another state) and it’s hard to find a cabin that we LOVE. And this cabin, is PERFECT! It’s has everything you need for a short or long term stay. (It could use a little more cookware, but we managed just fine with what they have) The pool table is GREAT to have for family nights! The cabin is very welcoming and cozy! I have seen reviews about this cabin and the “bugs/bees” getting inside, but that don’t bother us because we’re used to it. You will see a few bugs in any house that’s in the woods (especially a cabin) but it’s really not a big deal. This place is BEAUTIFUL and has the BEST VIEWS from every room in the house!!! This is literally our “HOME AWAY FROM HOME” :) The owners are great and was quick to get back with us when we had any questions. All & All, we had an AMAZING time at this place!!! We will MOST DEFINITELY BE BACK!!!

Great views.

Great views and pleanty of games for kids/teenagers. Would be nice if the TV was upgraded to a smart TV then it would be the perfect place. Still vary nice and definitely plan to stay again.

Weekend trip

We went up to the mountains for a weekend trip. I was expecting the house to be very clean, but it was not. I expected to have a really relaxing weekend but instead, it was a stressful weekend. I walked into a house with a huge wasp and ladybug infestation. The whole weekend I had to worry about my two children getting stung by wasps the whole time. I do not recommend going to this house because it seemed like the owners did not really care about the cleanliness, it was not cleaned very well prior, or that there was wasps. I had to call them a few times and email them l just to get an exterminator out to the house. After the exterminator came, then we had to deal with cleaning up all of the carcasses of the dead wasps and ladybugs all weekend. They were everywhere. Including our bed! Once again, we were not pleased at all. I would not recommend this cabin sadly.

The view is really absolutely beautiful. When you’re not used to it, the trip up and down the mountain was a real eye-opener. The host was very helpful and really easy to communicate with Just minutes from the casino and if you have little ones you’ll enjoy Santa land.

Awesome views, good location

Cabin is centrally located and easy to get to destinations, views are perfect as cabin sits on top of a mountain. Beds were very comfortable. Drive up is single lane with cut backs and should be expected for a cabin at the top of a mountain. Only a few pull offs for passing cars. Best advice was to arrive during daylight at least on initial visit. Gated community which is nice, worth the price.

Nice place, hard to get to...

If you have a large truck, re-think driving it to this location. You will be making 3 pt turns going up the narrow mountain road. Small cars no problem! That being said, once you arrive it's great. There was not a number on the house to let you know for sure you were at the right place, but it is directly across from the Gadwall aterrace sign. The rooms were spacious, view was great. I wish we could have spent more time here honestly. All in all it was great. The cleaning fee seemed pretty high for what was expected of you at checkout and they had not deep cleaned for what seemed like awhile. It wasnt terrible but seemed like house had set vacant for awhile so it was dusty. Not a deal breaker though. Great place!

Wonderful Location!

This cabin was amazing! The gated community was private and peaceful. The roads were all paved, which is perfect (there were a few sharp turns, but since it's all paved, it wasn't bad). The kids were entertained the whole time with the pool table and the fire pit. We couldn't figure out the fire place, but that may be because we're Floridians and are not used to gas fireplaces! The only complaint I have was that this cabin was very loud. Oddly enough, it creaked all day and all night. Although my kids weren't bothered by it, it kept us up the first couple nights. We did get used to it, though! And the upstairs toilet wouldn't flush very well, but after plunging it for a couple days, we were able to pull a toothbrush out of the drain, which helped a bit! Overall, the location is PERFECT! We went to Gatlinburg one day and Asheville the next. It's so centrally located that you can go anywhere easily!

Wasp infested

This property should not be on vrbo it gives the site a bad name. The host is very slow to response and very heartless. Despite the fact that the house was never clean spider web and hundreds of dead and live wasp mostly in the living room, dead roaches in the cubboard. My son got bitten by wasp and I told the host and he did nothing. I call vrbo about it they also try to call the host. I took some many photos of the wasp in the house we were able to kill most of them so we could have stayed in the house since it was Christmas and we had no where else to go plus the road to get to the cabin was nerve racking, steep and foggy. We keep saying the host will come but no one showed up. There is so many I could write that was wrong in this cabin. The only thing that kept us going was the veiw of the mountains. Please do not book this pleace it horrible

Great views

The drive up to the cabin is very steep with several sharp turns and a one lane road. We managed fine, but felt the description could have mentioned that. The view was beautiful, though. The cabin was nice, but there were a few maintenance issues. The knobs on the stove would turn on with the slightest bump. Felt it was a safety issue especially with children, had to check frequently that they weren't left on. The shower in the basement level could not be used because the door was broken and would not open. There is a washer and dryer, which is nice. However, the washer barely trickled when filling. We had to use a pitcher to help it fill so that it didnt take 3 hrs, especially since it was required to launder towels before leaving, which was fine, but frustrating and time consuming. Also, not mentioned in the listing is that you either have to take your trash with you or pay an additional 25 bucks to have it removed. But overall nice cabin in a pretty location.

Not the trip we hoped for

The house was true to the pictures. It was perfect for what we wanted. A relaxing fun getaway. However, first night...TV wasn't working, reached out to owners, no response until late the next day. Telling us how to fix it,which wasn't it . Reached out everyday trying to get it fixed so we could watch it at night. The 4th night we finally fixed it ourselves. Also, The bowls all had dried pasta in them. Some spoons were also dirty. So, we felt we needed to wash and sanitize everything before using. Kinda gave us all a less than clean feeling about the place after that. We went to play pool after washing all the dishes and working on the TV with no luck. Only one pool stick had a tip,the rest were broken. We went the next day and bought a kit to repair the sticks.Owner said thanks.Day 2, needed the ceiling fans .1 of the fans has burnt up motor and blades were loose. Note..I seen a review about this in Feb. So, I assumed by May it would have been fixed. We contacted the owners again. Said they were sorry, they would let maintenance know. Started to bed about 12:30..No water! Immediately contacted owner,no response for 7 hours. Note. Before we came owner said well wasn't working properly, having it fixed, but wanted to keep us posted in case it could not be fixed before our stay. Day before our trip, assured us all was well with the water issue. I texted both numbers , emailed thru VRBO, Called both numbers all thru the night. We had to be showered and ready by 815 on day 3 we had an event scheduled. No water. We finally got a text after 7am. For us to go out and reset the pump. Check to see if lights were on and wait 15 minutes to see if we had water. Mind you 6 people have not had a place to use the bathroom, wash hands, shower for 7 hours now. Not to mention we are now running very late. We got the water on . Then a man shows up saying he doesn't really know anything about wells, but he tried to fix it the other day. The owner had called him to come back out. We had already fixed it. Day 4 contacted owner,still no TV. The instructions he gave again were incorrect. We finally fixed it. Around 2am , no water again, contacted owner. I went outside around 6am and reset pump , took 12 tries. You are required to take your trash with you or they charge you 25.00. The trash guy came by as we were leaving, he says he picks up the trash every week. He took our trash. Owners refunded 107.70 for our trouble.

Great location but home needs a little TLC

The views and neighborhood are beautiful. The drive is steep but doable and should not deter you.Although, the home has basic acceptable accommodations, but generally needs some updates. During our stay, the dish washer did not working, the fireplace did not have gas, and there was piles of dead wasps that clearly accumulated over a decent amount of time that should have been swept. There was also a broken glass that ended up cutting someone pretty bad. There was also a broken door to the deck that although there was a sign to not use, I feel should have been fixed. For one thing I wouldn’t write a review, but there was a lot of little things that i would expect the owner to take more care of

Highly do not recommend this property

To say the road to this cabin is steep in a huge understatement. The road is only wide enough for one car but it’s the only way in and out of the neighborhood. You just pray you don’t meet another car when you go in and out. There is no lighting and the hairpin turns are bad enough we made sure all plans had us home before dark. As for the cabin itself it is in need of lots of tlc. Rotten boards inside and out so watch your step. On top of all this the owner charges a cleaning fee but expects you to do all the laundry strip beds and take the trash to a recycle center about 15 minutes away. If you have to do ALL the cleaning then what is the cleaning fee for? Oh and if you fail to do these things he charges you extra $25 for each thing you don’t do. Ridiculous demands. The only thing that was accurate was the view was beautiful.
