Wonderful Family Weekend

Polar Express Weekend Getaway

The house was perfect for our family. It was very kid friendly. Lots of toys to entertain them. It was located very close to downtown Bryson City.

I love this mountains and this house is the epitome of a mountain house. Location, property and amenities were spot on! We were only here for graduation weekend but if I had longer, I would have sat in the back yard at the creek the entire time!

Comfy Get-Away

Our family enjoyed our stay. The cabin was close to town. Plenty of children’s books and toys. A variety of movies for the dvd player. Plenty of towels and wash cloths.

Beautiful home and setting

The home was as beautiful as the pictures. Listening to the stream while rocking on the front porch was relaxing and delightful. TV needs to be bigger and it would have been nice to have Wifi. Overall it was a very nice place to stay. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Enchanting Home in the Woods.

Beautiful, roomy and comfortable home in the mountains with well maintained and peaceful surroundings including a brook, lush forest, large porch and back deck on house just right for resting! We did not want to leave!

Just what we needed

Very spacious and clean house. It met our needs. I wished the house had wi-fi, but that wasn’t a big deal because the cell service was adequate in that area.

Great for large families

We stayed here with 4 adults and 5 children and we were very comfortable. Wonderful property at an amazing value! The bedrooms are #1- King, #2 -1 queen, #3 -1 queen, #4- twin over full bunk beds with trundle. Also has a HUGE selection of toys, books, art supplies. Such a great property for kids!! We will definitely be back again.

Great for Group

We stayed here with friends, four adults and five kids, and there was enough space for all. Kitchen well-stocked with cookware. Close to an Ingles grocery store. Close in mileage to Bryson City train depot but with the winding roads, took a bit longer than expected. All in all, a great stay and 100% as advertised!

Willow Tree Lodge

We were visiting for polar Express, the spot of the property was good, but the key code was can a difficult to lock, we have a little problem with the company host they didn’t send me the code after I send the contract agreement to get in, I have to call to emergency contact to ask for the code and we got it until our arrival, the coffee machine was nasty looks like they didn’t clean it. That’s the reason I leave 3 stars

Great family cabin

This cabin was great for our 5 night stay!! We have a 2 year old and was afraid it would be hard to keep him busy. It most definitely was not,(they had games,toys,movies and coloring stuff). Not having wifi or cable was a bit of a bummer but there was so much good stuff that we forgot all about that. I very highly recommend this cabin if you have all age of kids like me, something for everybody.

House

The house was great and well stocked kitchen and games for all ages. The only problem we had was no TV. Direct tv was advertised but did not work. And by the vines on the dish it hasn’t worked in awhile. So dvd was the only option.

Anniversary stay

Actually the house looks nice from the road. It is when i got inside that i realized that the descriptions given were not what i saw. I was totally disappointed with the place. The back deck was not clean, needed power washing. The oven was practically unusable, couldn't figure out how to adjust heat. There were no linen exchanges. Had to use same sheets the whole time we were there. Was not worth the money paid. I will not be usins VRBO for nothing again. I feel like I've been robbed.

Great View, Very accessible to the casino

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had some maintenance issues but did get the main one fixed very timely. The cabin is a great size and has so much potential. It needs some updates including all of the beds need mattresses replaced. I would love to stay here again but won't return until the beds are updated nor recommended without caution. A bad night's sleep can ruin your day.

wasted potential from lack of Attention

Place had plenty of room. Clean enough inside. Some of the stove didn't work. It wasn't what we are used to for the money we spent on this property. Could have been better. Garage wouldn't lock so the place wasn't secure. Yards were neglected. Potential was lost with the neglected yards. Would have been awesome to had a view of the creek that lines the property. Would have only taken a little bit of effort to clean up the undergrowth. the back porch is covered in mold and very slippery when wet. An ounce of concern would have gotten us back. Property is simply neglected.

Overall the house was nice.

There were six adults and two children that stayed on the property with adequate room. Loved the front and back porch area listening to the little stream running around the property. The driveway was a little tricky and branches scraped the car every time in or out. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans but no ice maker or trays and non of the businesses had any in stock either in that town. The tv only picked up a handful of stations which was mostly infomercials. Cell service is spotty and no WIFI. The jetted tub is old and not worth the effort, we also had to space out showers because of little hot water. I have used Homeaway in the past and have always been extremely satisfied but the property owner Yellow Rose Realty changed the rate and would not explain the increase, we paid but will not rent from Yellow Rose again.

Adequate?

The property was perfectly adequate for our needs. It was clean-ish, as in the general things were clean but there was a lot of deep cleaning items that needed to be done (light fixtures, vents,etc). The towels are brown which was odd and made me question if they were clean. They were also weirdly stingy about certain things. They left exactly 1 roll of paper towels , 2 dishwashing tabs and 2 trash bags
 if people are staying there for several days, they’re going to use more than that. I’ve never stayed in a rental house that had literally nothing in the fridge. No left over ketchup mustard or bbq sauce and there was only salt and pepper, no tinfoil or cooking spray
 To me, that was strange. Yes I brought several of these items with me (paper towels and trashbags) but not the rest because there’s generally left over items like that in the house already. Upstairs bedrooms need real blinds or blackout curtains preferably because they faced directly in the sunlight at 6:30am. Could use a bench and another side table in the room on the left. Finally, the absolute most disturbing thing about this house is literally the carpet in the upstairs bathroom. I read a review mentioning that and then there was a comment about “maintenance issues being repaired” and foolishly assumed they replaced the carpet with tile. Literally had to go out and by bathroom shoes because it grossed us out so much. There’s no way carpet in the bathroom will EVER be clean. Would never stay there again.

Perfect cabin for a family. We had 3 children and 4 adults and there was plenty of room for everyone. They even had plenty of toys for all ages groups in the kids room. It was located just outside of town in a quiet Neighbourhood but only 10 minutes to everything this beautiful small town has to offer.
