Enjoy the views and hills around you in our newly remodeled country home in the valley. For a more private quiet evening, pull up a chair and relax around the fire pit with family and friends. If you enjoy a little more of a distraction, sit out front and take in the views as you watch the cattle graze. We are located close to several quaint towns with wonderful restaurants and a variety of things to do. Many breweries and wineries are within a short drive . Coon Creek is just steps away and the Mississippi River with public boat landings a short drive. Fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking, biking, hiking, snowshoeing, UTV riding and access to snowmobile trails. You will find plenty of fun things to do in the area.

Amazing getaway!

This home was perfect for our family and so much room! It was a really nice experience to be out in the country yet still only a small drive to town. Will definitely want to come back again!

Family Weekend

The space was perfect for our family, with young children. We enjoyed the extra space for downtime between soccer games. The host did a great job of communicating and having the property in great shape for our arrival. We will definitely rebook when we need a place to stay in the area!

Beautiful place and location

Our stay was perfect! The property was close to all our family gatherings for the weekend. The house was completely furnished and included everything we could possibly need while being away from home. Very clean and cozy place. We will definitely be back!

We had a great time in the driftless. The house was clean and had everything we needed. It’s located within 5-15 minutes of some great trout fishing.

Relaxing getaway

Very clean and comfortable, with gorgeous views from every window. Our adult family of 5 was able to gather Friday evening and make dinner together before heading to a wedding celebration at nearby Norskadelen Nature Center on Saturday. Really appreciated the host’s popcorn and snacks when we returned late Saturday night! Thank you Shirley!

Beautiful home in bluffs of Mississippi area

New home in country setting. 20 minutes from LaCrosse. Plenty of room for parking boat or trailer. Home is comfy with everything needed for week or weekend stay.

Country Home

We enjoyed our stay in this quaint country home. The property owners prepared the fire pit and included smores supplies in our welcome basket. This was a hit with my children! The home is immaculate and supplied with all the basics for cooking, showering, and laundry. The hosts are responsive and provide a detailed binder of expectations and area attractions. We plan on returning!

Great Stay!

The owners went out of their way to make us feel at home. We were in town (La Crosse) for a fishing tournament and we are so glad we found this home away from downtown. The firewood and wheel chocks for our trailer are those little things that make a big differnce sometimes. We enjoyed a beautiful drive through the countryside every evening and it never got old counting the deer and enjoying the scenery. We were able to meet some of the locals and they all made us feel at home. Coundn't have been happier with our choice to stay here! Thanks again for making this available for us to enjoy!!!

Bucolic Driftless Region

As 3 senior siblings on our annual weekend outing anywhere in WI. this home definitely met our needs & desire- beautiful, scenic, on a peaceful rural small beef farm (no smells!), the loudest sounds being the herd's low murmurings. 30 min. to La Crosse, 15-20 min. to scenic Mississippi River Great River Road, 1 hr. to Gays Mills apple orchards region. LOTS of beautiful, breathtaking scenery along winding valley & ridgetop backroads & highways in between. The home's exterior may appear plain-ish, however the interior is spacious, well-kept, well-appointed, & extremely comfortable. Lots of main floor space + 2 bedrooms & bathroom & laundry; lower level has large family room w/ a 2nd TV & a dry bar + a 3rd bedroom & 1/2 bath. NOTE: If you like to soak @ the end of a long day, there's only a shower in the main bathroom. There's also a nice fire pit to relax around @ the back of the house @ the end of a long day of adventures. Shirley, our host, was quick to share & respond to any pre-arrival info requests. We loved our stay!

Very clean, well appointed home

Everything about our stay was great! Very clean home and nicely decorated. We only made one breakfast at the house, but you could make many meals and have all the kitchen equipment you would need. I loved the snack basket as I normally pack snacks and for some reason this trip I did not. It was also nice that they had Kleenex in several rooms as you don’t normally see this. I have seasonal allergies and they came in handy. The master room bed was extremely comfortable, and the house is located in a very quiet area so we slept very well! We would definitely stay again if we’re in the area!

We stayed two nights. Accommodations were very clean and enjoyed the country vibes. The twin beds did not work for us as they were uncomfortable for adults to sleep on. If we were in need of a place to stay in this area, this would be our first choice.

Chaseburg Annual Hunt

Need not bring a thing, the host has everything covered! Very comfortable, convenient to local restaurants and totally beautiful country setting. The Country Home is the exact accommodations we’ve been looking for as a perfect hunt camp!
