Newly built home less than 2 miles from the New River Gorge!
Relax with the whole family at this peaceful, newly built home. Located about a mile from downtown Fayetteville and 1.5 miles from the New River Gorge, enjoy all that Fayetteville has to offer from a private, two-bedroom, two-bathroom home. Relax in the shade on the covered front porch, and enjoy the sunshine from the outdoor seating and dining table on the back porch. Use the fully equipped kitchen and outdoor gas grill for home cooked meals between your West Virginia adventures.
Please note: The house is located in a quiet residential area on a county road. The road is gravel and is what the county calls an "unimproved" road. A high-clearance vehicle is NOT required to navigate the 150 yards or so of the roadâjust drive slowly. However, in extreme winter conditions, all-wheel drive can be necessary. If booking in the winter and you do not have AWD, please let us know so we can provide alternatives and insure your trip goes smoothly.
The house was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed sitting out and using all areas of the porch. The location is in close proximity to restaurants, hiking trails and the bridge. We highly recommend staying here and would love to book again in the future!
The house and location are awesome. Easy access to New River Gorge trail heads and visitor center. The historic Fayetteville downtown has some great little restaurants - Pies & Pints, Cathedral Cafe and Wood & Iron. Would definitely book again.
My husband and I rented this property for a short get away. It was perfect. Very clean, very well stocked, and very comfortable. It is a very short drive to New River Gorge National Park and also close to several state parks. It is located in a residential area, but there is a private deck on the side.
Loved every bit of the retreat. It lived up to its billing. So convenient to be close to the New River Gorge. Be a little cautious on the short neighborhood road leading to the retreat as it is rutted. If you zig and zag you will be fine.
Great location close to the New River Gorge National Park. Very clean home with all the little extras that come in handy when traveling. There were 4 adults staying at this home, and it was just the right size for all of us.
Excellent stay near New River Gorge and Fayetteville
This charming home has everything you need for a wonderful stay. So many thoughtful details by the owner. There is a gorgeous porch. Part of it is covered and the other half is open so you can enjoy the shade when itâs hot and enjoy the sun when itâs cool. The location could not be better in terms of enjoying Fayetteville or the top sites at New River Gorge. The house is exceptionally clean. The beds are comfortable! The linens are soft! The appliances are modern and easy to use. Great communication from Brigitte. Overall, one of the nicest stays weâve ever had away from home.
The house was very clean and well equipped. It was in a great location relative to New River Gorge National Park and Fayetteville, so weâre able to get in a lot of hiking. The host was very responsive and helpful.
We had an amazing time in this lovely house. Clean, enough space and privacy with four adults. Loved the deck and rocking chairs. Close to the town, supermarket and great restaurants.
The cabin was so cute and clean! It is clear it is well taken care of. The hosts thought of everything to make the stay comfortable and the location can't be beat. We would absolutely stay here again!
It was perfect place to get away, close to zip lining, hotse back riding, going to new river, shopping....yet quiet and relaxing ....will be returning, loved it!
Our visit to the New River Gorge National Park and surrounding area was such a treat. Brigitteâs cabin property added so much to our enjoyment. It has been thoughtfully decorated and maintained. The cabin is conveniently located near town, shopping and the park. We made wonderful memories in West Virginia.
This cottage was very cute and comfortable. Great location for exploring New River Gorge National Park.
If you arrive after dark pay close attention to the "street" it's not paved and has a large rut - it's easy to navigate around as long as you know to look for it.
We had a great stay! The house was neat, clean, well-organized and super-cute! Great location for activities in/near NRGNP. Couldn't have been better. Thanks!
Perfect home base for New River Gorge park and the surrounding area for a small family or friends trip. Plenty of dishes and cookware to make your own food. Very clean, no complaints!
We enjoyed our three night stay while visiting New River Gorge National Park. The house is brand newâvery clean and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed coming back from day of hiking or rafting to the quiet countryside just a 5 minute drive from the park. We would love to come back next year!
The home was exactly as described and in a great location to explore the New River Gorge. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone considering visiting the area.
We loved this little house. Great location, close to town and New River Gorge Park, clean, and we loved seeing the chickens and ducks each afternoon. Thank you for a great stay!
We had a wonderful stay! Home is clean, tastefully decorated, and cozy. We enjoyed watching the ducks, chickens, and the beautiful dog walk around the yard. The location to New River Gorge NP and local state parks is convenient. Definitely stay here if you are visiting the area!
Great location. Very clean and comfortable home. The host was very accommodating and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. Great outdoor spaces- porch and deck.
Clean, new, 2 bedroom, 2 full bathrooms, well equipped, comfortable beds, nice porch and deck. Not as secluded in the country as we expected. Would probably stay there again. Owner was nice and helpful.
I met my husband in Fayetteville thirteen years ago and we love being a part of this special community. My husband is a professional river guide, and I work remotely for Virginia Tech. We spend as much time as possible in West Virginia's rivers, lakes, and mountains, and we'd love to share it all with you! We built Goose Creek Retreat together and just finished construction in February 2023.
