Peaceful, pastoral setting. Beautiful cabin nestled in peaceful, rolling hills under brilliant starry night skies. Walk the property and nearby to experience the cliff sides, forest, grazing yaks, and fresh breezes of this scenic setting. Wake to a spectacular sunrise and the sound of songbirds. Enjoy evenings of porch time, cooking out, and snuggling by the firepit after a day of exploring. Close to Red River Gorge, Natural Bridge, Cave Run Lake, and Daniel Boone National Forest. "Gorge"ous cabin!
What an amazing stay!! The cabin was beautiful. It was the perfect size and had everything we needed. The owners really put a lot of thought into everything. We cant wait to come back! Thank you for a great stay.
Beautiful property, quiet area! We rested well between site-seeing excursions. We did most of our own cooking and the kitchen served us well. We had everything we needed.
Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay at the Rise & Shine cabin. Everything was as clean & comfortable. The kitchen had everything necessary which was great since we did spend a good amount of time at the cabin choosing to stay put more than not. Relaxing on both of the porches was amazing. We did travel to the Red River Gorge to hike to the natural bridge & stopped for a delicious meal at the Hemlock Lodge afterwards. Also drove to Cave Run Lake for some beautiful hiking trails. We did a day trip to Lexington to do a distillery tour and have a nice dinner. Loved coming back to the cabin each night. The hosts were wonderful and quick to respond to a few questions we had. Just what we needed. Thank you!
This was our first visit to Kentucky and absolutely loved the area this cabin was in, and were very happy with the rental for the night. My friends met us at Red River Gorge and we drove a beautiful drive to cabin to make dinner and have a quiet retreat where our dogs could play. The yak farm was really awesome to see as well! We originally overlooked this listing until we reached out to the owner/property manager who was very kind to allow one extra dog as an exception as we were only there for one night. Very much appreciated thank you for letting us stay!
Very nice place, very clean and very home like, directions and address was a little hard to locate, but enjoy are stay and hostess was very nice and easy to work with
Rise & Shine is such a gem - clean, comfortable, and quiet. Glad we selected this rental for a quick getaway to check out RRG and surrounding area. About 30-40 minutes to all attractions but the route is scenic and we enjoyed 'rural' for 48 hours. House is off the main road - we felt safe and mornings on the porch were perfect. A nice change from the hustle in a typical week. Thank You for opening your home to those visiting KY.
We took our son to the Gorge Underground and needed somewhere to stay. This cabin is nestled away in the woods and includes all of the amenities. The check in was easy and the host was quick to respond to my emails. The cabin was very clean and exceeded our expectations. Saturday evening we sat on the porch and listened to the rain and watched the wildlife. The cabin is spacious and has a room with a game table that my son enjoyed. We had a great stay, are hoping to return and would highly recommend this cabin.
The home in which we stayed from the beginning was welcoming and homey. The decor was comfortable and tastefully done. There was plenty of space and it was spotless upon arrival. We tried our best to leave it the same way.
Kitchen was well equipped with decent cookware. The WiFi was easy and a great signal. It was blissfully quiet and the night and morning skies were stunning with great temperatures for sleeping. The bathroom, with washer/dryer was spacious and easy to use. "Rise and Shine", we hope, will be a re-visit by us. Thanks to David & Lisa.
How can you go wrong when directions say just past the yak farm! House was very clean and set up well, we were very comfortable. Area is quite peaceful, but we were only 8 minutes from Broke Leg Falls and 45 minutes from Red River Gorge.Lots to do in the area, not a whole lot of restaurants so plan on dinner at home. The directions are spot on, I think you might be on 460 40 miles or so- you are on the right track, once you see Wellington you are almost there. Hosts are quick to answer any questions. Definitely you recommend!
