Road to cabin is a steep drive uphill but is easy for 2wd vehicles paved all the way to the paved driveway. The paved driveway has flat parking spots with room for 2 vehicles. There are several flights of steps to this cabin (3 flights or so) but the prize at the end is well worth the effort. Once you get in you won't be disappointed.
The cabin does not offer Wi-Fi at this time. Electric and water utilities are on city connections. Fireplace is decorative only. Satellite TV service is at time weather dependent and trees may interfere temporarily.
Pros great central location, living room furnishings very comfy, nice rustic cabin, very homey water pressure was good, movies provided.Cons beds were on rollers and wood floors you do the math, neighbors super close in great number, view is very lack luster, not great for hiking, showers are small, tvs are small. No big tables for cars or bored games, Worth the four stars very well deserved four stars. Overall we had an amazing visits and would definitely recommend especially if your there to experience the red river gorge attractions.
The stay was good overall, clean place, good location. Our first night there was a fox barking right outside the bedroom window that woke me up, but everyone else slept through it.
The location was good and parking/driving was easy. But the cabin floors were very dirty and they didn't provide many cleaning supplies. But I'd stay here again for the amount of space and location.
First, know that there are 38 steps to reach the door. If you travel with pet crates, pet beds, coolers etc you may be exhausted before you get there. The home was poorly stocked. No paper towels, shampoo, soap etc. There were only a few pots and pans. There were dirty forks in the drawer and the floor was dirty. The bed was uncomfortable. The bedroom drawers were full of their linens leaving no room for us the unpack clothes. We left after one night.
We enjoyed our stay here! The cabin was in the perfect location, close to the natural bridge and red River gorge scenic loop. The cabin was comfy and clean. We felt right at home. We will definitely come again.
This cabin fit our needs well. The team was always responsive and easy to work with. The cabin was clean and I liked that it was close to many of the main activities in RRG. Would recommend and stay again.
The cabin was beautiful. The stairs to it takes forever. Loved the view from the balconies. Didnât like the placement of the firepit. It's a little inconvenient. The fireplace didn't work and that was disappointing. Overall it was a beautiful quiet stay. We were able to get very much needed peaceand quiet. We'd probably would stay again here but still might check out the other cabins.
Cabin was nice and in a nice spot but it was very dirty. Went down and spoke with the property manager explained how there was a coating of dust over lots of surfaces as well as the ceiling fan blades and cobwebs in slot of the corners. the instructions said not to turn the ac colder than 74 or if would freeze up the condenser and we would be charged for the repair.. but the rains we so dirty they were unusable. The property manager was very nice and said she would have some one clean while we were out for the day. Someone did come and mop which was not the issue but there was still dust over everything and obvious cobwebs in the corners. I paid 575 dollars for a three night stay and that is a special thing for us to be able to do. I was very disappointed as this was my wifeâs birthday gift. We still had a good time, hiking around, and the location was nice and close to lots of hiking but for how much we spent I was quite disappointed in the cleanliness of the cabin.
For the cost, I was expecting a nicer cabin than cheaper ones I have rented in the area. The neighborhood and location are great, and the cabin is adorable. But, we didnt receive our check in instructions, so when we arrived and had no internet, it was very difficult to find out that we actually have to go to a coffee shop 2 miles away to check in. We also missed out on the heads up that there are no paper towels, coffee filters, etc. So we were very unprepared for all of that, and made our first night more stressful than the beginning of a vacation should be. Then, we discovered two of the towels left for us were dirty. Not stained, dirty. Had to once again drive to the coffee shop to get clean ones as no extra are provided. The instructions for the fireplace do not help, so it was unusable, which was sad as we were looking forward to it. There were also stains on the sheets, which is quite gross and easy to remedy by replacing the sheets. I also found dried contacts on the bedside table, which were difficult to see but made it obvious that commonly used surfaces weren't clean. I know it is the renters responsibility to clean dishes before leaving, but it should be on the management to check to make sure the dishes are actually clean- they were, for the most part, not clean.
In short, we had a nice enough stay, but will be renting from other places in the future as this was pretty disappointing for the cost.
Great location, decently priced, gatlinburg-type cabin vibe, but upgrades are needed. Lighting was very dim, TV's were too small; housekeeping can do a better job cleaning - crumbs on couches, floors dirty. Front main balcony & furniture was nice but the furniture on the back deck and back outdoor chairs were not suitable to sit on (need to be thrown away or deep cleaning). The bonfire pit was up a steep dirt hill and is hazardous to get to. Some nice rustic touches like the upstairs hand banister was made out of tree branches, which looked cool. I would recommend upgrades in order to book another stay here again though.
The condo was clean, cute, had everything we needed. The pool and restaurant downstairs were wonderful! The sunrise view from our balcony was gorgeous!
