Exactly what I signed up for. Close to Virginia Beach and the Boardwalk. The house was as listed. Multiple seating areas, indoors and out, including a nice gazebo space in the yard, providing a break from the sun. Plenty of living space allowed for board games, or just chilling on the sofas. Pricing was fair for what we got. Deb was very responsive to texting.

The house is very close to the board walk and the beach, yet in a very quiet area. It has everything you need, except for the towels, which is clearly communicated ahead of time. Check in was effortless, check out was also easy as long as you follow check out instructions. There were 4 of us and we had lots of room to spread out. I would without hesitation stay here again when traveling to VB. Thank you, Debbie!

Our first vacation!

Great location! Easy in and out to the beach and surrounding areas. Perfect size for a famoly, extra amenities in the building for younger children if needed. Cozy cottage feel. Host had reasonsble expectations for the care of their home. Would visit again!

Small family long weekend

Enjoyed our stay, worked for our needs and price was in our budget. With good location to the beach, coffee places and the aquarium which was our main reason for visiting. Many things were provided or clearly stated you needed to bring.Overall place was clean, has definitely held many years of memories and good times, but was comfortable.

Good property- issues with owners

The house is as advertised - very comfortable within walking distance to the southern end of the VA beach boardwalk. Road work was still happening on the street but not a big problem. Unfortunately some interactions with the owner took away from the experience. We arrived somewhat late (around 9:45pm) after a long drive and the directions to get the key and enter the house weren't very clear. I called their number and got a voice mail that said they were closed and no emergency number was given. After calling a couple of times they finally called back and said I was "lucky" they heard the phone. After getting in we found the cable and internet were out. The was some back and forth in the morning during which the owners stated that I would need to be there for the service appointment because they don't live in town and don't have anyone else close by. I said no because I was on vacation and it is not my property. They did not offer any sort of compensation for the lack of amenity. Called vrbo so they could arrange a small reimbursement at least. Later the owners still wanted to have a service call at the house with no one there and I declined because they said they would not be responsible for any loss of our belongings. I didn't think they should have even asked for that to happen. Lesson for me to be sure a property has a representative on site or nearby. Overall good stay though.

Perfect for family

Our family visited VA beach for the National Club field hockey championship and decided to stay a few extra days as we had never been before. The house is perfect, located on a quiet street with all the comforts of home, just don’t forget your beach and bath towels! There is a fully stocked kitchen with all the utensils you could need. The backyard, while small, is private and charming with seating for more than 10. There is a gazebo and grill for a backyard BBQ. The beach is about a 10 minute walk or a short drive. Parking is plentiful and cheap. There is lots to do from the Aquarium, dolphin or whale boat excursions (depending on the season), fishing, water park, pickle ball, beach volleyball, boardwalk with all the tourist traps, plenty of restaurants with delicious seafood. We are so glad we stayed here and should we ever come back to VA beach, will be sure to stay again. Thanks Kent’s!

Midwest to East coast

We absolutley loved staying at this house. The location was great - so many things within a very short walking or driving distance. The house is beautifully decorated and very comfortable to stay in on the rainy days. Only "issue" was the 'no towels' description is a literal no towels - not even hand towels to use to dry your hands in the bathrooms. Not a huge issue, just a detail we didn't think about when we read 'no towels'. If we come back to VA, would definitely stay again.

We are a Northern Virginia family with family in Virginia Beach. We love being able to head to the beach on weekends every chance we get. We like to stroll along the boardwalk, sit on the beach, eat out, ride out bikes, hike, listen to the live bands, cook, etc. We hope you will enjoy your stay in our beach home as others have in the past. There is a guest book in the home we would love for you to sign. There is also a list that folks add to of favorite restaurants and places to see.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

It is closeby for our weekend escapes. Lots to do in the area. Short Walk to Beach. 3 Minute Drive to Virginia Beach Convention Center. Enjoy day trips to the Aquarium, Zip-Line only 10 mins away, Busch Gardens, Water Country USA, Colonial Williamsburg, Williamsburg Pottery and Outlets, or Kings Dominion. Seashore State Park is nearby. Also check out Jungle Golf.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Wake up to the sounds of ducks on Lake Heron. Enjoy sitting out after a day at the beach in the backyard sipping margaritas and grilling steaks. Kid friendly neighborhood and bike friendly. We often walk to the beach or ride our bikes, but when we have a large gathering and some folks don't want to walk to the beach - we throw the coolers and chairs and people into the car, my husband drives them down to the beach and drops all off - he then heads home to park the car and rides his bike down. When he gets back to the beach - we have chairs and coolers and umbrellas all set up. You do not have to deal with feeding the meters/attendants or looking for parking.
