Ground floor condo w/ screened porch - steps from the ocean
Spacious and well-appointed, this condo is the perfect home base from which to explore the eastern side of Grand Cayman. Set in a small complex of only 30 units, this is a wonderful place to relax and unwind. Enjoy ocean breezes from the screened back porch, BBQ with your toes in the sand, take a nap on an oceanfront hammock or have a swim in the oceanfront infinity pool. Just next door is Kaibo Yacht Club, which boasts 2 restaurants, a coffee bar and daily ferry service to the Seven Mile Beach corridor; the unit is also a quick bike ride away from the Bio Bay, Starfish Point and world-famous Rum Point. A rental car is recommended; the condo is about an hour away from Owen Roberts Airport.
Condo was very clean, had everything we needed. We loved that it was in a small, quiet complex. Close to Rum Point, Starfish Point. It was so convenient to be on ground floor and just a short walk to pool. Had both plastic and traditional dishes, so you didnât have to bring breakable items out by pool.
Some restaurants in the area that we enjoyed are Kaibo Restaurant (next door), Rum Point (brand new restaurant), Tucca and Italian Kitchen (both on East End).
We did the bioluminescent boat tour one night that left from Rum Point. Very interesting and enjoyable.
We enjoyed our stay at this nice condo.
Our stay here was fantastic! The rooms are spacious, clean and have most everything you need. In addition to being steps from the pool, thereâs a coffee shop and restaurant next-door, as well as a nice sized beach to take in the sun. There is quite a bit of seaweed in the bay so I would recommend going to Rum Pointe or Starfish Pointe if youâre looking to swim. Starfish Pointe is within easy walking distance. If you go in the morning you will have a good opportunity to see a large number of starfish. Many hang out along the white wave breaks along the beach. There are a variety of excursions that leave right from Kaibo Beach which makes this location perfect! Rum Pointe is walkable but if you are bringing items for the beach, itâs probably best to drive. The beach chairs are free. However, they ask that you purchased food or beverages from the restaurant. In addition to the excursions at Kaibo Beach, Rum Pointe is a many more options for even more excursions. I would recommend having a car as thereâs not much in the form of public transportation available. In addition, you will need to grab groceries and essentials on the way to run point or plan to drive 30 to 45 minutes if you want a good store with decent selection. There is a small convenience and liquor store about 15 minutes away, but the prices can be quite expensive. Overall, this is a fantastic unit in a breathtaking location!
The property was clean with very attractive furniture and comfortable beds. Plenty of towels and a newer washer/dryer if you needed to do laundry. Kitchen is fairly well equipped with plenty of plastic dinnerware to use by the pool. Nice furniture in the screened in porch. Owner/manager very responsive to any questions/concerns. First floor level makes it easy access to hot tub and pool. Grounds are nicely kept. Next door to Kaibo Yacht Club and a short distance to Rum point. Love the quieter side of the island to really relax. Would not hesitate to stay in this unit again.
