Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place. Lake front home one block from the 45 mile long rails to trails. A mile from great local restaurants, parks, shops and downtown Inverness. A short drive to Crystal River home of the famous Florida Manatees, as well as Homosassa wildlife park and other local Florida activities. Orlando is just over an hour away! No boat, no problem we have you covered with kayaks, canoe, paddles and life jackets.

The house was absolutely Perfect for us 6 ladies! It was very welcoming, charming and comfortable. We loved the open floor plan, and the large windows, allowing us gorgeous views of the marsh. The host was very responsive.

Fun family adventures!

We had so much fun exploring the trials on the bikes as well as the water in the kayak! Being from out of state, it was so fun to see all the crazy wildlife! The house was beautiful and so well equipped. The home owners were quick to respond. We had a great time.

A comfortable and lovely home

We had a couple days here this week and it was honestly perfect in every way. The house is beautiful, with everything well appointed and thoughtfully designed. We would definitely stay here again!

Immaculate!!!

We stayed 5 nights in this wonderful home. The house is beautiful with 3 bedrooms. The living room, dining room, and kitchen are open to one another. Great floor plan. The back yard is on the lake, has a fire pit, and a dock with kayaks. After staying here, I will book all future stays at this home.

Top Notch Property : We are planning next trip!!!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful home! The decor is absolutely stunning, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. We particularly enjoyed the nearby bike trails, which provided a fantastic way to explore the area. Our experience was so wonderful that we will definitely be coming back to stay again. Highly recommend!

Reunion with Sisters weekend

This home and its location are top notch! The home is beautifully remodelled and decorated, comfortable and well stocked with anything you could need for a wonderful vacation retreat! The backyard is inviting and beautifully scenic with a gorgeous view of the lake. Many activities are possible as the owners have provided kayaks, bikes, a fire pit, hammocks, the list goes on! I will definitely stay here again in the future!

Amazing place in the cutest little town!

We loved our stay! The house was spacious and beautifully decorated. It was also clean and had all the amenities we needed. The kids loved playing on the dock and the family bike rides to downtown for ice cream just a mile away was one of our favorites. Thanks for letting your home be our home for the week!

Great place for a vacation!

The home was very comfortable for our family. We have 4 teens and they were never bored. They shared using the bikes on the Withlacoochie trail. Having kayaks was also a bonus. We were also only a short drive to Orlando and Tampa Bay area. The hosts were always available for questions. Great place to stay!

Wedding Weekend Stay

Wonderful Lake House

This was a very welcoming lake house. It was beautifully decorated, with all of our necessities in the house, as well as included kayaks and bikes for outdoor fun! The lake view is beautiful, and the kitchen has the best appliances and family friendly. The washer and dryer were a huge plus. We left our dog at home, but besides missing her, this is a great rental with attentive hosts. We felt very at home, and will visit again.

FANTASTIC GETAWAY

What a beautiful home! You can see the thought and care that went into finishing and decorating this home. One of the NICEST VRBO properties I’ve stayed at. The hosts were great and excellent with communication. I look forward to future stays there since it’s close to my family. LAKE ACCESS TOO! Gorgeous inside and out. Serene water views from the kitchen and living room, plus a screened in patio to enjoy the cool evenings by the lake.

Lovely Lake House

This was our 2nd stay in this lovely lake house. I highly recommend this rental property! A great house with all the comforts of home, beautifully decorated, great layout, awesome lake toys, awesome setting and great location!! Short get away

My friend's and I loved the atmosphere. The moment we opened the door we fell in love. The house truly felt like a home. Its was a simple lay out and very clean!!!! The home owners did a wonderful job at keeping in contact with us if we had any questions. They even gave us a few suggestions on where to eat and adventure. It's a nice quiet spot with a few gators, but that didn't stop us from having fun on the kayaks. The back porch is in the perfect spot for a morning sunrise. I would definitely come back to this house again!!! A solid 10/10

Don't Miss Out On All This Home Offers

Returning to the property after a long stressful day made each of us pause and unwind thanks to the meticulous attention to detail the owner has provided. These is no need to leave the property with so much at your fingertips. An issue after arrival was addressed promptly by owner. You will not want to leave the backyard so tell the others to meet you there. Coffee while watching the sunrise will be the first to-do each morning and the peaceful environment will welcome you morning, noon and night. Enjoy the lake, views, wildlife and all the amenities of this home away from from! Ready, Set, Relax!

Of the VRBOs I've stayed and given well deserved 5-star ratings, if it were possible, I'd give Christine and their Lakehouse Retreat 6 out of 6 stars.Place is gorgeous and well kept. What sets it apart are the details, the upgraded finishes, and above all, the little extra's they've included for your stay. I wont spoil the surprises, but we arrived and the people we traveled with went room to room with oohh's and aahh's!!Loved the place, next time I have a need to visit family in Inverness, will be looking to stay here. They had a quote on the wall, "come as friends, leave as family", which we certainly felt like.Thanks to Christine and her Husband for accommodating our group during our difficult visit (we were in town for a funeral).Please note while I gave 5 stars for location and neighborhood, because it met our needs for where we needed to be, for awareness to others the general area is not an upscale neighborhood, although this home is furnished to make it feel that way!!

Beautiful Home, Perfect Location!

We spent part of our Spring Break trip at Lake House Retreat and loved it! The house was VERY clean, EXTREAMLY well appointed and had the most PEACEFULL view. The home is located very close to the downtown area, restaurants, grocery store and everything else you could need. I can't rave enough about how pretty the house is- a modern lake house with a very peaceful, fresh and relaxing vibe. The furnishings and mattresses were very comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet with the local birds being the loudest thing we heard. We enjoyed their chatter. We had two teenage boys who more than enjoyed the dock and kayaks! They love to fish and truly appreciated having the lake steps away. The lake is beautiful, watching the sun rise/set was awesome. Often when we rent a house we are going so much we don't get to enjoy the home, this time was an exception. We enjoyed just hanging out in the yard taking in the beautiful surroundings and spending time on the lake. The owners were great too. We accidently left one of our pillows and before I could message them they had messaged me. Inverness is a charming town within a short drive of Dunnellon and Williston. We kayaked/fished the Rainbow River and snorkeled at Devil's Den Spring- both great experiences. I highly recommend Lake House Retreat! We will certainly stay again the next time we are in the area.
