The casita is absolutely beautifully decorated! Is really quite cozy and very comfortable, at least my husband and our 2 dogs were. There are tons of trails and parks to walk and play with your pups, and Jill & Marty are super friendly and nice! We absolutely recommend!
We booked Marty & Jillâs lovely Casita for a month so we could explore ABQ. We had a wonderful experience! The Casita was beautifully equipped with everything we needed and the location was ideal. Both Marty and Jill were extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely return!
We had a lovely stay at the casita! Jill and Marty were so kind and inviting, and made sure we had everything we needed (we did!). Would definitely stay here again! Thanks!
My husband and I were very pleased with our stay at this casita which was full of art and quite lovely! We loved our stay primarily because Jill and Marty were such lovely people! They were kind and thoughtful. They made sure we were aware of the celebrations happening in Albuquerque at the time of our visit and assisted us in getting to them. In addition, the location of the casita was close to so many sights we wanted to see! I hope to go back again if we are able. I highly recommend a stay here!
We stayed at this lovely Casita with our pet and enjoyed our time there immensely. Property was located at the end of the road, quiet and safe with room for our dog to enjoy the outdoors. The hosts could not have been nicer or more accommodating. We look forward to another stay in the future.
Jill and Marty greeted us as we arrived. The casita was clean ,cozy and had great areas to relax, cook and work. Thank you so much for sharing your moms casita with us!
This little casita in Albuquerque is really perfect! Beautifully furnished, in a fabulous locationâquiet and private and a quick drive into Old Townâand the owners are just lovely. I had everything I needed, felt totally comfortable. Loved walking along the ditch and through the neighborhood, was close to the great shops and restaurants in Old Town, and an easy drive over to UNM. Owners were helpful and had great information. Loved it and canât wait to go back!
I had a FABULOUS time at Jill and Marty's casita.
Walking into the Casita was like coming home to the home I never knew I had!
Marty and Jill provided everything needed for my stay. Most notably shower gel/lotion/shampoo in the bathroom and common staples in the kitchen like a full complement of spices, sugar, flour, coffee, tea and more.
Location = 20 minutes or less to everything
Comfort & Privacy = A+
Hosts = EXTRAORDINARY!!!
This was the best ever! Private, safe, and decorated so cute. Jill and Marty are so welcoming and helpful, and really take pride in their space. Highly recommend!!!
The reviews here speak for themselves. The thing that sets this place apart from some VRBO properties is that the owners seem to genuinely care about your experience. Ours was perfect.
The casita was the perfect size and was well stocked. The owners were very accommodating and hospitable. Convenient location to the airport and major highways. The neighborhood roosters and dogs were a bit noisier than we would have liked, but still better than the noise people make in hotels.
This was a quaint little home that was perfect for what we needed. Itâs an older style space with lots of southwestern and native art. Each day I was finding a new small art piece I didnât see before. But it has everything you need and the owners are very kind and accommodating. Home is also on a dead end street in a quiet neighborhood. Really enjoyed our stay while we were there! Thanks Jill and Marty!
Extraordinary -- both the property and the owners!
Never spent much time in the South Valley when I lived in Abq, so this was a first. As noted by previous reviews, the casita is perfect: comfortable, clean, bright, and relaxing! The location is ideal and was an easy commute to the UNM campus where I had work meetings. I loved the proximity as well to the Rio Grande/Bosque (walking, running, biking trail). But the most special part of our stay was making new friends; the owners are spectacular, kind, and all around wonderful people! Highly recommend this place!
The Casita was wonderful. Jill and Marty were the perfect hosts. We really enjoyed using the pool. A great getaway for 2 people.
*The only thing that wasn't perfect was the bed. In fact, it was terrible. It has an incredibly old metal spring mattress that is 20 years past it's prime.
It pains me to mention this because we had such an incredibly wonderful time staying here. It has so much fun character and you truly feel at home.
Our second trip to New Mexico and back to our favorite casita and our favorite hosts/friends. We feel so welcome there and plan to make it an annual vacation spot. The casita is very special, with its cozy kitchen-totally stocked, large livingroom/dining room- with the wonderful New Mexican art, and the very large bedroom with its own sitting area. The patio is the perfect place to relax and the new patio renos by Marty are great. All the cactus in the back yard really make you realize you are a long way from Canada. Marty and Jill were kind enough to invite us to see their fabulous yard and home, so thanks for that girls. There are so many day road trips that we went on, including Lincoln (Billy the Kid country), Santa Fe Canyon Rd art galleries, Bandelier Nat Mon, Puye Cliff Dwellings, Acoma Pueblo Sky Country and The Turquoise Trail, to name a few. The scenery around Albuquerque is breathtaking, with all the colors of rock, so a drive in the country is a must - it certainly is a land of enchantment. As we look out the window at 7 feet of snow still in our yard, we wish we were back enjoying that great New Mexico sunshine and the company of our new friends Marty and Jill.
Canadians love the "Perfect Casita" in the 'Land of Enchantment"
Perfect in every sense of the word, from the wonderful New Mexican decor to the cozy feeling of home. The casita is very spacious, with so much attention to detail and every possible dish and appliance you could wish for. The private deck was so relaxing after a long day of sightseeing, with the rooster crowing, doves cooing and in the distance the church bells ringing. The gas barbecue was perfect for cooking up that outdoor meal. The location made it so easy to get on I 25 or I 40, so was very quick to get around. Being "hot rod" people, we especially loved the closeness to Central Ave (Route 66) where we found many old Diners and Historic buildings. New Mexico is certainly the Land of Enchantment, with so much to see and do, it will take us several trips to see it all. Now to the hosts, who will always be our friends. They have so much interesting information about the area- where to eat and things to see, so we tried to take in as much as our week would allow. Our evenings on the patio, visiting with the hosts were wonderful times. They are so interested in making sure you have a super time. One special time was when we took a day trip to the White Sands National Monument and were late getting back. Our lights had been turned on for us and we were greeted with "Welcome Home, how was your day and what all did you see?" We really felt like family.
The casita and hosts far exceded our expectations and we can't wait to go back.
We had a wonderful time during our week here. Saw a lot of Albuquerque and traveled south to Bosque del Apache and north to Santa Fe. Got lots of information from the hosts, including great places to eat and things to see.
We loved staying at this casita for our long weekend in Albuquerque. Itâs charming and the property is beautiful. Best partâ Marty and Jill are lovely hosts and made us feel right at home!
So nice to have a small place with patio to myself. Also I have two little dogs and the ladies loved the dogs, let them run the yard and even babysat a couple of times. I am rebooking for a week in Sept. Great experience!
