Casa de San Pasquale, 1800s restored terones adobe
Casa de San Pasquale is located two blocks from "Old Albuquerque" as locals called it in the early 1900s. The house features14" old adobe walls that have been plastered with a diamond finish. It has lights from the city's first Hilton Hotel, stained glass transom and a short hall that joins the original 1 room house with a second living room and kitchen (the restoration includes modern appliances, dishwasher and stacked washer dryer). The front porch faces the playground of the old San Felipe school and has it's own private back patio. The property includes gated parking and southwest landscape that has old buckboards and a carving of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
The place was beautiful. Excellent location, gorgeous yard, stocked amenities. Kris was a wonderful host and we would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking to get away in Albuquerque.
I loved staying here. Would be good for solo travelers or a couple with a dog. Please note the bath is quite small, might not work for someone with accessibility needs. Great for access to Old Town!
The property was as advertised and the owners were very responsive and accommodating. The Adobe is cute and well stocked. We enjoyed walking into Old Town and seeing the sights there.
My daughter attends college in ABQ and I was visiting from out-of-state during her spring break. This place was the perfect spot to stay! Super cute, clean and within walking distance to Old Town with lots of shops and some restaurants - we spend several days and hours there! And the empanadas Kris left were a yummy surprise! Highly recommend and would stay again!
We just loved this little house. It is right in the heart of Old Town and was within walking distance, just a few blocks. Our dogs walked with us as well and the street was not too busy since its one-way. It was very hot during our stay and the house stayed nice and cool. I also loved the peaceful patio area at night.
Clean, location, dog safety (!!), privacy, parking, small patio!
Perfect dogmom sanctuary, a short stroll from shops/coffee/park. Only minus was the traffic noise at bedtime - wow. Can't be helped, and it subsided as it got late, so I didn't want to ding the rating.
Great property, fabulous location, unique experience
We enjoyed our stay. The property exceeded my expectations. Photos are sometimes deceiving but we were not dissapointed. Overall a very comfortable Casita. Neighborhood felt safe and gated parking and yard was great to take the dog out late at night. I would book again and recommend to friends. Loved the empanadas.
Our stay was wonderful. We were very comfortable and relaxed. We were very close to the Old Town shops. We had a gated parking spot. We had a front porch and a back patio area that we loved. The owners are wonderful people who were very welcoming and friendly. We canât thank them enough for their hospitality. We would definitely stay there again.
Historic stay in restored adobe - think thick walls, uneven floors, small shower, original Southwest artwork on walls, right off Route 66! Easy to imagine life back when Old Town was bustling. Home was well equipped and stocked. Hosts were extremely responsive, especially during our evening check-in. Empanadas and discount for one week stay were much appreciated!
This casita was amazing! It was small but just right for 2 people. Nicely decorated. Location was wonderful, a few blocks from Old Town. Host/Hostess were amazing even leaving us some Biscochitos! Had a small porch off the front and a patio off the back. ALL nicely done. Comfy and clean. Can't say enough nice things about the whole experience.
We loved the property and its proximity to Old Town. Its very cute and quaint. Perfect stay for our honeymoon. The hosts were wonderful and it was a pleasure to meet them before we left.
We enjoyed our stay. The house was great. Check-in was easy apart from navigating Old Town. The bathroom was clean but lacked spaciousness and was a little challenging. There was quite a bit of road noise on the weekend nights, a fair trade for walking access to Old Town Square. The parking and patio were secure and offered a great space for our dogs. I would book this house again.
Had a very nice covered porch, and a fenced outdoor area. Super cute. Easy check in and out and off street parking in a gated parking lot. Some noise from street traffic but overall quiet and cozy.
Absolutely loved this place. Very charming, cozy, historic casita in old town residential area. The love for the place shows. Very comfortable bed, kitchen has everything needed, washer/dryer, adorable sitting areas inside and out. We felt very safe staying here and the owners were super nice and even brought over something needed for a medical issue our last night there. Thanks again for a great stay.
With a very short walk to old town, or Uber to downtown nothing is far! Host was very friendly, leaving us delicious empanadas. The property itself was beautiful/historic and we hope to stay again!
It was very nice very clean. We even done some laundry. That was very helpful after being on the road several days. Had a very nice conversation with kris. Enjoyed that very much as well
My husband and I have been into historic preservation for over 40 years. We were both raised in Albuquerque and have worked on numerous projects and our home was featured on Restore America. We love to travel (especially since our daughter lives in London!) and we almost always stay in short term rentals.
San Pasquale is located in the old Albuquerque area. We loved the character of the houses (it shares the lot with another building) and they hadn't been occupied since the 1970s. It is such a pleasure to have visitors be able to stay in a place that was the norm of residential architecture of the past.
The house literally has one foot in Old Town and one foot on one of the major corridors of more modern Albuquerque. There are great restaurants, shops and museums all within walking distance.
