Located just across the street from Buckeye Lake, this house offers easy access to all the amenities and activities the lake has to offer. Take a stroll along the picturesque shore, go fishing or boating, or simply relax and soak up the sun.

Inside, the fully equipped kitchen is ready for you to create delicious home-cooked meals, while the backyard fire pit provides the perfect spot for roasting marshmallows and sharing stories. This is a place where memories are made and cherished for years to come.

This home features 4 bedrooms: a bunk room with 3 twin beds, a queen bedroom, another queen bedroom, and a queen bedroom with a full-sized crib. It also includes two full baths, one with a walk in shower and the other with s standard tub/shower. The massive living room, equipped with a queen sleeper sofa, air hockey table, and pool table, is perfect for entertaining on rainy days. The dining room has a full-sized dining table that seats 6, with additional seating for 4 at the breakfast bar, as well as an extra bar/dining space in the living room. The fenced-in backyard boasts a hot tub and propane fire pit, making this home ideal for large family gatherings.

House was sufficiently clean however garage had flooded after heavy storms and was full of mud. Fire pit did not work, hot tub was not real clean. Front porch area was full of weeds and spider webs in windows/doorways. Second bathroom was in master bedroom which made it awkward for our large group of adults. Gameroom and kitchen were nice.

We had Christmas with our children and their families. The house allowed plenty of room for us to visit. The air hockey table was a hit. The hot tub was used too. We would love to visit in the summer next time. Rachel was very responsive to my emails.

The photo of the house that lures you into renting it is not what this home looks like. The landscaping and weeds are overgrown. The eaves had actual weeds growing them. We were unable to sit outside and feel relaxed because of this. Someone did come over and mow the foot tall grass in from of the home on our third day there but they did not touch the weeds that needed tended to. The fire pit did not work so I asked if we could use the pit at the house next to us and were given permission to do so. Same owners own that property as well. Only half of the grill worked so it made it difficult to cook on. The top oven of the stove did not work but the bottom did. There were a few small holes in the walls that need to be patched. The wood work and door frames were dirty and some of the doors were scratched up by what looked like dogs wanting out. The garage was absolutely terrible. There was a sign strong that the garage gets wet so to the rain. Ok. But if you know someone will be staying there clean the garage floor before they get there. I mopped non stop while I was there because floor was filthy and dirt was being tracked in because that was the entrance into the house. Yes, we took our shoes off before entering after we realized that we were tracking it in but when you have 11 people coming in and out it’s hard to not drag the filth in. Air conditioning worked well. Air hockey table was enjoyed. Weldon’s ice cream down the Road.

We appreciate the feedback. We have changed landscaping to ensure that the exterior of our home is being maintained to the standard it was photographed at and done a massive exterior clean up. Fire pit has been replaced and signage on how to use our stove has been added. Our garage and back alley are within a flood zone; so when we have extreme weather both do unfortunately get wet. We have continued to work on long term drainage solutions to improve this.

Girls Weekend Fun!

Perfect for our get together! 9 adults comfortably for sleeping, dining, and inside socializing! Rain prevented using outside areas but had we been able to, it looks like would have accommodated well. Beds comfortable, plenty of towels, linens. Everything we needed in the kitchen. Good water pressure in both bathrooms and hot water supply never a problem. Spacious. 5 minute walk to marina and ice cream shop. Communication with owners was fantastic- responses within minutes! Plenty of parking for multiple cars. Easy driving to nearby restaurants, shops, and activities. Can not say enough good things about this property!

Great place

Thank you, Rachel!! We enjoyed our stay at Chicks on Canal. Everything we needed was there. Beds were a bit squeaky but very comfy. Clean. Cute decor. Quiet location, friendly neighbors. Great ice cream place just down the street. The hot tub, pool table, and air hockey were a hit! Rachel was a great host! Quick response anytime I messaged her, answered any questions I asked. Definitely would stay again when in the area, if available.

Not Ready for Guests

The property location and large open space for the family room were great. The outside of the property had not been maintained at all, and we had to sit among a lot of overgrowth of weeds and etc. to use the hot tub or fire pit. It also says it is suitable for pets, but there’s no grassy area on the property at all. Only one small side of the grill worked, and the ice maker and top half of the oven did not work at all. We had 10 people to feed and this made it hard. There were also small things missing, like hot pads and bath mats, that just made it less pleasing. The trash had not been handled by the previous guests so the garage was full of stink and maggots which made it unappealing to play at the pool table or air hockey table that was only half working. There was a TV not set up, and beds that had no sheets under the blankets. While the area is great for a family getaway, I would not recommend this as a great place to stay.

We are so sorry for your experience and the neglected/missing items. We scheduled a landscaper as soon as we noticed that our normal lawncare team had been skipping the house entirely and had it all landscaped (although unfortunately they could not make it until the day of our departure). We have addressed the trash with our cleaners to ensure it doesn’t happen again, and will get the broken appliances replaced/repaired immediately and items you mentioned (like bath mats) replaced. We pride ourselves on quality rentals and this is never the experience we want a guest to have.

We took our family down for four days and had a delightful time. Went for a bike ride, used the hot tub, went down to the beach, played lots of pool, air hockey, board games and visited the ice cream shop 3 times. I was a little disappointed in the house however. The house was clean and comfortable, but the outside areas need some work. A landscaper came and we had to go inside so he could weed whip the front area to cut down some of the weeds. Let’s just say it does not look like the pictures. The fountain did not appear to be hooked up and the fire pit did not light. We did not reach out about either of those. The hot tub was nice. The ice maker does not work and there aren’t any ice cube trays available so we had to go back out to get ice. The top oven will not heat. The kitchen could use more dishes and silverware. We didn’t have enough for eight. The toilet paper holders are broken in both bathrooms and the hot water handle in the master bath is loose. While we thoroughly enjoyed the game tables, they have been moved into the living room due to flooding in the garage which made it hard to watch TV while the kids were playing. Part of the fence and a section of door in the backyard are missing so it was no good for keeping the dogs in. We had a great time but the house could use some cheap fixes: RoundUp, icemaker, fence repair, fix oven, silverware, dishes, TP holders, loose the bar it interferes with pool table. VRBO listing is incorrect when showing the # of bedrooms.
