Whether you are listening to the babbling brook, getting ready for a day on the lake, grilling your fresh catch on the patio, or falling asleep listening to the rain fall on the old tin roof, we are confident you will love this home as much as we do! The Bryan House boasts four comfortable bedrooms that sleep up to eight in this large home. Boat parking/shelter is available upon request.
We enjoyed this property for a second year in a row! The property is very clean and had everything we needed and more for a comfortable stay, including toys for our children to play! The location is great if youâre enjoying Raystown Lake. The hosts have made several updates on the property which add to the historic charm of this home. We canât wait to book again!
We were in town for the weekend and chose this property because of its close proximity to the wedding venue. We were just looking for a close place to sleep, however we were EXTREMELY pleased to find this home was so much more! Tammy was extremely responsive and made our check in so easy. The home was clean, beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable! We really did feel like we were home! We look forward to visiting again! Thank you Tammy for wonderful stay!
The Bryan House was a perfect location for our family trip. The home was very clean and had all of the supplies we needed, including linens and towels. The location is very close to the road but otherwise itâs nestled along a quiet spring which our kids loved exploring. The location is also very close to Raystown Resort where we kept our boat for the weekend and Shy Beaver boat launch making it very convenient. We will definitely consider a return trip.
This very clean, well appointed house was perfect for our girlâs week get together. Tammy is a fantastic host who is easy to contact and who gets back to you right away. The house has everything you need to have a great time in this beautiful little town, and is just a short trip away from shopping, restaurants, and entertainment in Altoona. Thanks for some great memories!
Great home located close to everything we wanted to do at Raystown. This was perhaps the cleanest place weâve ever stayed with so many little extras thrown in. Coffee, toiletries in case you forget something, laundry detergent and dryer sheets and so much more. There really was nothing we needed that we didnât have. The traffic noise was a little downside for us but at the same time we appreciated not being out in the woods with no one else around. Vrbo was not a good experience for us. We couldnât open messages from the house owner through them. We ended up calling Vrbo and they got us in touch with her directly but that was extra time and hassle. It all ended wonderfully and the owner was so pleasant to communicate with but Iâll never book through Vrbo again.
We had a great long weekend at the Bryan House and Raystown Lake! We had 2 familys (4 adults and 4 kids total) and the house had plenty of space for 8 people. The house was well stocked with a variety of kitchen appliances and linens. Even though the house is only partially air conditioned, the units are in the bedrooms to make sleeping comfortable and with the large shaded lot the rest of the house stayed comfortable even in the middle of July. Our kids loved the yard and checking out the stream. Tammy was extremely responsive and was great to work with every step of the process. We are already taking about our next trip to The Bryan House in the future!
We are a family of five whose kids are getting older, and we wanted to find something to do with all of our "spare" time, so why not make a business out of making people's lives more fun! We work hard to make sure your vacation is everything you want it to be. Please feel free to reach out with any questions, or if there's any way we can make your vacation better!
This property has rich history. It was built in 1832 and was owned by the same family until recent years. It has beautiful scenery, including it's own little stream, and has lots of amenities, including a patio set, a grill, a firepit, and boat parking if asked for ahead of time. In short, we believe you will love this house just as much as we do! We also have a "things to do" book at the house, in case you are looking for adventure.
We are within a few miles of Shy Beaver boat launch, located in the quiet community of Cherrytown. We are across the street from a church, and have very few neighbors. Those we do have are very quiet. This is a peaceful place to rest and relax before heading to the lake, visiting with relatives, or exploring all that Central PA has to offer.
