The whole group will enjoy easy access to everything from this central location such as: Ike Hamilton Expo Center, Surge, West Monroe Sports and Events, Landrys Vineyard, Duck Dynasty, Kiroli Park, Highland Park Wetland, Black Bayou, Restoration Park, Antique Alley, Flying Heart Brewery, Flying Tiger Brewery
As mentioned in another review we were in town for two separate memorials. At arrival there was relaxing music playing, lights on and the AC turned down. The neighborhood was quiet, the antique furniture was extremely well maintained - as was the whole house. My husband and I were with our 2 21yo girls, and 4 of us showered back to back without losing water pressure or hot water. :) It is cozy but very comfortable and the patio is great for relaxing, which is exactly what we needed.
Itâs amazing how CLEAN this house is! We came into town twice in the same week for two separate memorials. Connie blocked out the time between our stays and messaged to let us know we could leave things between stays. The neighborhood is quiet, near everything, and (it should be said again) CLEAN. The porch is amazing for morning coffee or evening relaxing. Thereâs coffee, creamer, water, snacks, and so many other little touches that were simply thoughtful.
Great place to stay with a lot of personal touches inside and out. Quiet neighborhood but close to anything you need. Host was amazing and great to communicate with, quickly responding to questions.
Property was just as advertised or even cuter. Felt very safe in the neighborhood, even coming and going early mornings and late evenings. House was very clean and cozy. Backyard was peaceful to drink coffee at in the mornings. If attending an event at the Ike, this is an excellent location- easy and close to and from.
The whole property was exceptionally clean. The outdoor areas were beautifully landscaped and the neighborhood was quiet and seemed very safe. Connie was a gracious and welcoming host. My son and I appreciated the comfortable furnishings and felt very at home.
This charming house has been expertly renovated and decorated in a way that made you feel at home. My sister and I had enough space to spreadout to scrapbook, as well as visit with varios family members who stopped by. Centrally located, but also in a quiet neighborhood. The host was wonderful and tried to ensure all was perfect.
Our family stumbled upon this charming hidden gem while searching for a place to stay for the week during our daughterâs participation in the Fleur-de-Lis program at the Miss Louisiana pageant. This cozy and comfortable property provided a perfect haven for our family of three. The quaint double beds ensured we got enough rest, while the spacious backyard offered ample opportunities for quality outdoor time in the afternoons. The inviting living space allowed us to unwind and recover between our morning rehearsals and evening pageant activities. Our hostâs exceptional hospitality and the thoughtful amenities she provided made our trip truly unforgettable. We are incredibly grateful for the perfect experience we had.We will undoubtedly revisit the Marten House whenever we find ourselves passing through Monroe again.
Great place to stay. Very clean, close to town but still in a quiet neighborhood. Connie was easy to work with and offered to check in a little early. Will definitely stay there again
The house was very nice and clean. The owner was very responsive to messages. The house was located in a very nice, quiet neighborhood close to town. I would highly recommend booking!
Listed as described with a nice outdoor space. Connie was flexible with our accommodations and easy/quick with communication. Perfect location for an event at the expo center. Would book again!
Exceeded expectations. As advertised & moreâŠ.Thoughtful little âaccoutrementsâ thruout the house âŠADORED all the indirect/warm lighting options, the real coffee maker, gorgeous Yellow Jasmine vine on back porch, the vintage candy dish w/salt-water taffy, & old fashioned lever-ice cube trays from the 50âsâŠ& so much more. Owner & her charming dad went above & beyond several times âŠmost notably handwriting me a list of âfavesâ to not miss in West Monroe/Monroe ..and then later after the guys caught a huge basket full of crappie fish (18!) at Lake DâArbonne, they helped us set up an outdoor âfish fryâ areaâŠlugged over & walked down several items to make it happen. Over & above. And while I wonât be bragging about our newbie âfrying skillsâ -it was a memory worth making!! (We ended up putting the fish & shrimp (the ownerâs dad shared from his catch!) on dry ice & enjoyed every bit of it down in Houston later. ;) We will be back! Thank you Connie & Fam! I was very pleased and pleasantly surprised. The house was very nice. Kind of a crafty feel a large deck. Nice neighborhood able to walk early in the mornings without any worries convenient location. I would definitely stay there again if I was in West Monroe.
Everything was very nice. Great host. Great area. Will definitely stay again. A queen size bed might be a good upgrade later on. But overall outstanding!
