Thank you for your 5 star review. Seadrift does not have a beach I do mention the pier closure The seawall is being repaired from Harvey. Our place is advertised as pet friendly. I’m very sorry for any triggered allergies. I never got a message during your stay or I would’ve certainly responded.

Our dog policy is 1 dog under 20 lbs but we accepted your 2 yorkies and 1 mini aussie when you requested. You assured us that your dogs were crated and well behaved. Prior to your visit, the blinds were not chewed. After your visit, the housekeeper sent us photos of chewed blinds, urine spots on rug, and lots of hair in bunk room. We messaged you through VRBO to tell you about this and you took 2 days to reply. During that time, I made a claim through the insurance VRBO provides. I had to submit photos of all damage. You finally messatged back that you were unaware of the damage and that we could call your wife to discuss. I messaged that I had made a claim. You said let you know if the insurance did not cover it and I said "will do". The bottom line is that your dogs did damage to our home and we made a valid insurance claim. We replaced rug and blind now and throroughly cleaned the bunk room bedding. It is unfortunate things had to get offensive here on reviews because I told you that I understood that things happen and would not hold it against you. However, your need to accuse us of fraud is not nice.

VRBO forwards via email info to everyone..I just confirmed. Could it be possible you missed the email? Nobody contacted me but I was available and waiting as you checked in. Your husband messaged me via VRBO system aroud 6 and I responded immediately. I could not call you because VRBO x's out the number but I gave him all the check in info. He never messaged me back although I messaged 3 x to be sure you got in. I was unaware of the coffee pot. Again, if anyone had contacted me, my friend that lives in Seadrift would have brought you over a brand new coffee pot. I am happy to hear you still had a good birthday but I wish I had been given a chance to remedy things from the start. I bought and left you guys special coffee/creamer/halloween mugs/case of water etc to insure you had everything you needed to make coffee as your friend had already messaged me she liked coffee. Wish there had been a little more grace in the review...I really did try my best.
