Notre maison joliment décorée est l'une des 24 villas dans une communauté privée, fermée qui partagent une piscine à débordement incroyable et jardins paysagers bien entretenus.

Pourquoi le propriétaire a choisi Zihuatanejo: Nous avons acheté cette villa parce que nous sommes tombés amoureux de Playa Blanca et nous avions toujours été à la recherche d'une maison de plage. Il était parfait: Loin des foules, à côté de l'océan, avec une plage idéale pour la marche, sûr, confortable, à dix minutes de l'aéroport .... belle.
Nous voulions un endroit tranquille pour profiter de nos petits-enfants et les enfants. Nous voulions passer quelques mois de repos ensemble.
Nous avons loué une autre villa là quand nous avons été tellement chanceux que villas numéro 5 a été vendu, nous avons rencontré le propriétaire and..voilá.

Les avantages uniques de cette Villa: loin de la foule, les marches de l'océan, une plage idéale pour la marche, confortable, sûr, à dix minutes de l'aéroport, à quinze minutes de Zihuatanejo ... pas trop loin, pas trop près.

Propriétaire Description: Nous sommes Juan et Golde. Notre fille Elena nous aide avec l'administration de la villa.
Nous vivons en Espagne, qui est la raison pour laquelle nous voulions un endroit pour passer des vacances avec nos enfants et petits-enfants à la plage au Mexique; un endroit pour se réunir sans les foules, mais toujours amusant.
Nous sommes mariés depuis plus de 40 ans et ont quatre enfants et six petits-enfants.

Beauty and Tranquility of Playa Blanca

My husband and I just spent a month in Elena’s villa on Playa Blanca. We absolutely loved the setting on this 10-mile stretch of (yet) undeveloped beach south of the town of Zihuatanejo and just north of the fishing village of Barra de Potosi. The villa is nicely furnished with comfortable seating inside and outside and very comfortable mattresses as well. There is a lovely view of the large infinity pool and the ocean beyond, not just from the terrace, but also from the living room through floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors along the entire width of the room. All the windows and doors have screens. The kitchen is very well equipped with lots of dishes, cutlery, pots and pans. While we ate out most of the time (we were on vacation after all), every imaginable appliance and kitchen gadgets are on hand for a more ambitious cook to make elaborate meals. What we loved most of all was the peace and tranquility. No barking dogs, no crowing roosters, no fire crackers even on major national holidays, no loud music blaring all night – no noise at all, except the pounding of the surf. Our first time in 17 stays all over Mexico that we didn’t have to use ear plugs at night! Elena is a most gracious host and easy to communicate with before our arrival and also during our stay. We thank her for making her lovely place available to us (and other lucky guests). We had a wonderful time and plan on coming back.

Rest and relaxation

We stayed at Elena’s home for a month and enjoyed ourselves. Playa Blanca is a very quiet and peaceful environment. The beach is breathtaking with miles of packed sand for easy walking. You will not find busy hotels with parasols dotting the beachfront here, you are one with your surroundings. I don’t think I have seen more beautiful sunsets. The few people that are in the other villas are all friendly and fun to have around. I absolutely loved the pool, and it would be great for a family. There are a couple of small places to eat within walking distance, and we went often! Walking is easy and safe. We usually opted for walking along side of the road since there is only the occasional car that drives by and they simply move over. We would go to Zihuatanejo once a week and you can get there either by taxi (400 pesos) or our preferred mode of transformation was the “combi” ( small white van) which stops in front of the villa ( or quite frankly if you are walking you simply flag it down) it would cost (12-15 pesos ) and its a fun ride. There is a fruit truck that stops off in front of the villas three times a week. (This was great!) The produce was great quality and had everything you’d ever want. If you like you can call and have fresh seafood delivered to your villa. I compared the price of some shrimp that I had purchased with the ones our neighbour's had delivered. They paid much less than I had at Mega for the same size shrimp. In regards to meat, if you want to purchase pork or beef you would need to go to a big store. That being said though, not far down the road there is a small convenience store with (bread, milk eggs…..etc. ) and beside her after her there is a stand that sells fresh chicken every day except for Sunday. She puts it out around 7:30/8:00 and its pretty much all sold by 11:00. I will say that Villa’s Playa Blanca is not in the hub, but if you are looking for some serious Rest and Relaxation this is the perfect place to be. You pretty much have everything you need to stay right where you are and if you need a change of pace then you can walk to the small town of Barra de Potosi or take a bus or taxi to Zihuatanejo for a more touristy atmosphere.

Great month

The pool was wonderful as were the grounds. The condo was very spacious some cosmetic work could be done but overall it was comfortable. The barbecue was old and fell apart but Elena bought a new one right away (they are charcoal here ). Sylvia cleaned for us and she was great . Elena was very prompt at answering us. It was a super vacation!

Beautiful location and grounds

Beautiful and well-groomed grounds, very nice pool with wonderful view of the ocean. Really enjoyed the outside patio for eating breakfast, playing card games, etc. The proximity of the pool and ocean to the villa was just right. The villa was a little run down and somewhat plain inside, but the layout worked well for our family of 8. The shower water was extremely hard, which was a big negative for us. Grounds keepers and guards were very friendly. Enjoyed fresh coconuts cut down and cut open by the grounds keeper. We were also made aware when the fruit truck stopped out front. Elena, the property manager, always communicated promptly and was very kind and gracious.

Peace and Quiet

We enjoyed our stay on Playa Blanca - it was a great location, a beautiful beach and a nice pool. We were a bit off season and found the whole area to be VERY quiet with few tourists. The grounds were meticulously cared for and that added to the exterior ambiance. Silvia was wonderful, very conscientious and a very good cook. We were really rather spoiled by her. The only negative was that there was not a comfortable piece of furniture to sit on inside. This is a good rental for a family with a master bedroom and two bunk rooms; we were two couples so the bedrooms were not optimal. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Serene beauty and privacy.

Exceeded our expectations. The villa was nice. Gorgeous view and privacy on the patio. The pool and grounds were very clean and well kept. We were usually the only ones using the pool. The infinity pool right next to the ocean was breathtaking. We rarely saw any one else on our walks on the beach for miles. We saw whales multiple times daily. Good restaurants close by. Not the place to go if you want to "do" things. But absolutely perfect if you want to do nothing at all expect marvel at the beauty of the ocean and privacy.

Beautiful spot on secluded beach

We stayed a little over a week and had a great time. The property is part of a small gated complex right on the beach. No "sales" people on the beach. Silvia the house-keeper came every day and was very sweet and helpful. We rode horses on the beach and tried several of the local restaurants. We were 5 people total including our 3 teenage daughters. Elena the owner was very helpful and always replied promptly. A great experience.

A little piece of Paradise

Elena, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful beach home with my family. The location provided a extremely relaxing setting for a much needed vacation. The villa is nicely decorated with beautiful ocean views from every room. It was also nice to be lulled to sleep by the ocean waves breaking on the surf. The sunsets are absolutely breathtaking. Sylvie the house keeper was an absolute joy. She was very helpful and what a wonderful cook. We enjoyed several Mexican meals that she had prepared, chicken Enchilada's/Fijita's, shrimp Chile Relleno's and she shared her recipes with me. I just have to get them translated. The house was kept extremely clean and the only place I have been where the sheets were changed almost daily. All the people that work at the property were friendly and very helpful. It was nice to have a vendor with fresh fruit and vegetables come to the property every other day. The infinity pool was awesome and the property and pool are extremely well maintained. There are several restaurants within walking distance along the beach and all were very good. We had a lovely seafood dinner at Chula Vida. The highlight of the trip was being able to take part in releasing baby turtles into the ocean. The babies had just hatched an hour prior. Everyone was given a baby turtle to help with its journey into the ocean and not one was lost to the hungry birds hovering overhead. This all took place right in front of the villas. Thank you again Elena for all your help and recommendations. We would definitely come back.

Very relaxing

Our second time staying at the home. Very beautiful property the has a large central pool and a nice kidde pool for small children. Silvia the maid is very nice as well. Looking forward to coming back next year!

This property was everything, and more!

Sometimes, photos of a property are disceptive. But, not in this case. The property was actually better than we could imagine. The pool is wonderful. The unit itself nicely done. A big plus - - the beds are great!! Everything you need is here. The woman who cleans and helps make breakfast is lovely. We had several massages in the terrace recommended by our hosts. Lots of places nearby to eat. Hotel Los Palmas is lovely. The beach restaurants at Barra de Potosi are very good. In fact, all the recommendations offered by the owners were super helpful including the boat ride by Omar. Really great!! Can't say enough to good things. We will most definitely be back! BTW - we were a couple with 2 grown kids.

Playa blanca

It is a pleasure to share our really nice experience in Playa Blanca. We spent a full month there from mid July to mid August in a beautiful house in front of the sea, where you can practice surfing and snorking. The beach is fantastic, very close to a big swimming pool. You can watch the swimming pool from the house. Also the house is very confortable, with all you need included. Is a really relaxing vacation and you just want to stay there. We found many different activities in the surroundings like a lagoon to practice Kayak, a park of turtles, other beaches and visiting Zihuatanejo. We also rent a boat to go fishing and that was one of the most exiting experience for the children. As well we visit a park where you can swim with dolphins. We want to thanks Elena, a lovely lady that helped and guided us to enjoy fully our stay in Playa Blanca. They were a very special family vacation that surely we will repeat in a near future. Vacaciones perfectas

Pasamos unas increíbles vacaciones en Playa Blanca! La casa es muy bonita y cómoda! La vista de las habitaciones es increíble! El complejo dde está ubicada es maravilloso, un jardín y una alberca increíbles!!! La playa que está junto a la casa es muy bonita y tranquila y el mar también! Most relaxing vacation ever!

The villas on Playa Blanca provide the most relaxing setting for a vacation that I have ever experienced. The infinity pool is absolutely the finest I have ever swum in and provides a beautiful view of the ocean and beach, which is just steps away. We saw whales almost every day. The fruit-and-vegetable vendor came by every other day with a marvelous array of everything -- plus fresh tortillas and bread were available daily. Our villa was well-appointed and scrupulously clean. Sylvie, the maid, was most helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the beach towels, pool toys, and hammock. We also booked a half-day snorkeling/fishing/whale watching trip with Omar that was wonderful.

fantastic getaway

A true paradise. The villa is very well decorated, comfortable and with a beautiful view. Elena, the owner is very attentive. Silvia, who helps with the cleaning also is a wonderful cook with a great disposition. Playa Blanca is fantastic: far from the noise of Zihua on a tranquil beach with miles to take a long walk. The ambience of the villas is great - not too many people and all keep noise down to a minimum. All the people who work there are very helpful. I recommend a stay at this Mexican wonder. Also good for large groups as other villas can be occupied. I will return.

Relaxing stay on private beach

We very much enjoyed our stay at this well-appointed beach house. The decorations were attractive and furnishings comfortable. There were great ocean views from every room, cozy hammocks, and a quick walk to the large and relaxing pool. Beach access is also quite easy. Elena was kind in answering all our questions prior to arrival and then made sure the house was fully ready for us, and Sylvia, the housekeeper, was fantastic in making some meals and keeping the house clean each day. We brought our 7 month-old, 3 year old and a nanny. The pool is an ideal pool for children with sloped entrances, a shallow "wading" pool area, and then plenty of swimmable area for adults. The surf could be difficult for children depending on the time of year, but that's true of most places. We went to nearby Barra de Potosí (about 10 minutes drive) and rented a kayak as suggested by Elena--a great idea and worth the morning effort to see wildlife and the mangroves. The water there is also ideal for young children (shallow and clear on the lagoon side). Renting a car is very helpful unless you want utter seclusion. We drove in to Zihuatanejo or Ixtapa nearly every day. Shopping in Zihuatanejo is a lot of fun with the locals; we enjoyed the fish tacos at La Sirena Gorda. Ixtapa is more of a touristy resort area. The online pictures actually don't fully show how lovely and relaxing the home is. The other villas were empty during our week, so we had the entire grounds to ourselves. We will definitely consider returning to this lovely villa.

Bliss at Playa Blanca!

Elena, thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. At first, I was hesitant and cynical since the pictures of your rental property seemed too perfect to be true. However, the minute we arrived and glimpsed the view from the windows of your living room, we were smitten! It was really real! It was a pure pleasure each day waking up to the glorious view of the pool, the coconut trees, and the ocean. Of course, having Sylvia help us prepare our meals was such a welcome bonus. She showed us her trustworthy vendors at the 'mercado' so we learned where to buy fresh shrimps and fish along with meat and vegetables as well. We learned from her how to make tomatillo sauce and Spanish rice...so it was like having cooking lessons as a bonus to staying at your home! Raul was so helpful (and patient during our short 'wi-fi' crisis). It was really nice having him nearby when we had issues with the washing machine (which was immediately resolved). His wife, too, gave such relaxing massage treatments, setting up the massage table outside, so we could relax, lulled by the music of the ocean waves! The pool was awesome---well-maintained and very clean, always. The rooms were also clean and the living room was cozy and well-lit. The kitchen was well-stocked. The air conditioners and fans were much needed and worked well. All in all, it was truly a home away from home. We'll never forget the sight of whales breaching right in front of us, surely a sign of good luck! You were always so easy to reach and always helpful in answering our questions. You made it evident that the rental is not just a business venture but a true calling since you genuinely care that we have a good time...and we certainly did. Thanks for such a memorable vacation, Elena! You take very good care of your home and it shows! A few suggestions: more board games for kids such as a chess set...(we left behind some swimming noodles and beach toys !)....softer towels would be nice and as I mentioned, a bbq grill would be a most welcome addition...overall though, we had everything we needed to make our stay heavenly!

great family getaway

we stayed for a week with our children (ages 5-11), my brother and his family, and my parents. we had an amazing time; it was exactly what we needed, some real relaxation away from it all. staying here made it so easy to enjoy nature, especially the fun waves, and dolphin and whale watching. barra de potosi is fantastic, they have great food at enramada condesa, and we had fun cooking our own food and eating lots of fruit from the central market in zihua. thanks elena for answering questions and making booking easy, and israel for making our stay even better.

Vacation paradise

This villa is everything it is advertised to be! The most relaxing vacation we have ever enjoyed, it is truly an escape. We were well looked after by Sylvia and Isareal, and would love to be able go back again. Loved the views, the pool, the beach, and the quiet naps on the patio hammocks. A piece of heaven.

A beautiful villa to stay at. It was clean, close to the beach, & the pool is amazing. We spent most of our time at the villa and simply relaxing and enjoying the view. Syliva is a jewel. She prepared delicious meals for us and kept the villa spotless. I highly recommend this villa to anyone that wants a beautiful get away. And, I want to thank the owners for sharing their piece of heaven with others.

Wonderful paradise

We enjoyed this vacation paradise in April of 2007 and will go back at our first opportunity. A great retreat - quiet, beautiful walking beaches, close to groceries, activities, authentic Mexico. Wonderful, warm people. Pool is clean and kid friendly. Beach cabanna available to spend time on the beach. Take your eReader and iPod and enjoy the tranquility and getaway in Mexico.
