Notre petit coin de paradis a été rénové, vous offrant le confort d'une cuisine et d'une salle de bain rénovées avec un bel aspect ouvert. Nous avons également de nouveaux meubles, y compris un canapé-lit avec un matelas en mousse à mémoire de forme de 6 pouces qui est vraiment confortable pour dormir!

Notre condo est dans un bel emplacement en bord de mer / en bord de mer à distance de marche des magasins, d'un marché de producteurs, d'un marché naturel, du MEILLEUR café et de restaurants. En hiver et au début du printemps, vous pouvez voir les baleines dans le confort de la véranda, et les phoques moines et les tortues sont toujours un régal lorsqu'ils rendent visite tout au long de l'année. À seulement 12 pas du bord de la plage semi-privée, vous pouvez flotter sur l'eau de l'océan, voir les plaisirs de la plongée en apnée, du bodyboard ou simplement attraper quelques rayons. Lorsque nous sommes tombés sur ce condo pour la première fois, nous avons été impressionnés par la vue ... et nous savons que vous le serez aussi!

Ce condo comprend une chambre séparée avec un lit king-size et un canapé-lit dans le salon pouvant accueillir 2 personnes supplémentaires. Il y a des ventilateurs de plafond, mais avec les stores ouverts aux deux extrémités, les merveilleuses brises hawaïennes traversent pour le garder très confortable à l'intérieur.

Nous sommes à quelques minutes de golf de classe mondiale à Kapalua et Kaanapali, et Lahaina Town est à seulement 8 km. Ceci est le condo parfait pour les familles et les jeunes mariés. Nous savons que vous serez au paradis dans notre condo au paradis!

The host was extremely accommodating. We arrived late in evening and the lights were on and it was lovely not to walk into a strange dark place. He also granted us a later check out on the day we were leaving. It was so nice to hear the ocean while sitting in the family room. There was a lovely breeze through the condo and fans kept it cool enough.

The property was great and the neighbors were very friendly and welcoming. The host was gracious enough to allow us a late checkout since our flight was in the evening. They had a nice Playmate cooler, beach chairs, snorkeling gear, umbrella, and many other items that were very useful.

Our host was very accommodating and responsive. The condo is very close to the waves as they incessantly roll into sea wall that fronts the property and the ocean sounds are quite relaxing. I believe there was once an ample beach, but was not present during our stay, so to access a sandy beach you’ll need to walk or drive. There is a nice grassy area outside your door to enjoy the afternoon sun and sea sounds. We were very pleased with the condo interior as it was clean and well kept with ample kitchen small appliances and gadgets. All the knives were very dull. The bed was very comfortable.

The sounds of the ocean, the direct and close views over the ocean to the neighbor islands, the unobstructed sunsets, and the year round turtles and seasonal whales that are right there are what makes us love our Maui home. Then top that off with us striving to provide a top notch Hawaiian-style very clean living space with everything we would expect ourselves, comfortable furniture, along with just being attentive to our guests needs by responding quickly and providing service in as timely a fashion as humanly possible. We truly want the very best for our guests! We are in a "natural beach habitat", meaning the sandy beach comes and goes through the year. In the late-Fall and Winter, the currents change and naturally pull the sand from the shore out about 50-100 yards off the shore. Then, in the Spring, the currents change again and start pushing the sand back up to the shore. This is almost like clockwork! So in February our sandy beach is sitting just out into the water, allowing you to walk almost 150 yards on sand out to the reef, with the water up to about your thighs or belly. In the summer, the sandy beach is back in full, where you can often just walk right off the seawall cap onto the sand. We thank you for staying, and would be happy to host you again! Hopefully when there is not a storm that knocks the power for a day!

Location great and better than our first visit to Maui (on our first visit there we stayed at a condo in Maalea Bay which was wonderful but the Lahaina location here with this condo we enjoyed much more!) Close to harbor, food, coffee, market, excursions, awesome beaches! Definitely recommend!

Perfect location!

What an amazing place to stay! With the ocean steps away from our patio, we saw turtles and whales spouting from far away. The sunsets were absolutely fantastic - so many pictures. The condo was perfect with all it's amenities making it feel like home. Waking up each morning and making coffee and sitting outside with the view was the highlight of the trip :)

This was a great condo. It had great access to the beach and the condo itself was well maintained. We stayed on three different islands during our trip and this was our best accommodation. There was always enough parking. It wasn't too loud but the bedroom window is right next to the elevator so you could hear other guests. It wasn't that disruptive and didn't change our minds about how nice the condo was. The shower was nice.

The condo at Makani Sands was perfect - and you cannot beat the location! Having an unobstructed ocean view was amazing. We loved eating our meals outside on the patio every day. Highly recommend!

Condo very well equipped!

We loved this vacation spot. From coffee on the lanai each morning, margaritas in the afternoon, turtles by the sea wall, and a short walk to “the best cinnamon buns on Maui”, we had a great time. The condo was in a perfect location as we didn’t drive. A 20 minute walk got us to restaurants, grocery stores, and souvenir shopping. The condo had everything we needed.

Awesome - we will be back!

Everything was as described or better! We used the beach chairs and umbrella every day. It is perfectly located and right on the water. We prefer to stay in a smaller complex rather than one of the bigger resorts and this was the best yet. 3 minutes to Nipili Market, 20 minutes to Honolua bay, 10 minutes or less to Nipili and Kapalua Beaches, the Gazebo, etc. Perfect!

Amazing oceanfront condo

We loved staying at Matt's place. It has amazing views. We saw whales and turtles swimming by. The neighbors are amazing. Matt is a great host and was always in touch throughout our stay. Would def. recommend his place. As other reviews mention, it might be little noisy if you are a light sleeper, but closing down all the windows reduces the outside noise a lot and would not bother you!

Awesome condo on West Maui

Great ground floor unit right on the ocean in west Maui. We loved the location (Honokowai/Kahana/Nipili) and the lovely sunsets, and swimming/snorkeling in front of the unit. Unit was in good shape and very comfortable for 2 people. Highly recommended.

We were so pleased with this condo we plan on returning. We have all had the experience of looking on line and when we arrive it is not as advertised. Everything about this condo was as advertised. Awesome view, quiet but no beach

Good place to stay for few days. Quiet with awesome view especially at sunset. I put 3 stars for accuracy of online listing because I expected to have the beach in front of the property but this is not the case. There is an access to the ocean but no dry sand. Also be aware of the strong current and rocks. Pool is heated and good place to relax.

The sunsets and the views are what make us love our home SO much as well! Regarding the beach, one has to understand that ALL beaches on Maui that aren’t man-made are subject to the conditions. The pictures in the listing that show beach are very real, and are present at different times of the year. However, when the surf gets high and rough, like it does in December, January, and February, it carries the sand out about 50 yards offshore. This is why in the description, I specifically say “beachfront/oceanfront”, because it depends on the time of year that you are there which one you are going to get. I am incredibly easy to connect with, so if there is ever a question, I am quick to reply with a straightforward honest answer. I have received this question about the beach and sand levels several times in the past. If this question had been asked to clarify my description, I would’ve been able to clarify this. But I can guarantee that the sand level in the pictures does indeed occur every year, so the accuracy of my listing is 100% true.

The property was nice, and affordable for the location and time of year we stayed. The kitchen is very well outfitted and having laundry in the unit is great. There is no air conditioning but that's not a big deal, just opening the windows and patio door lets the ocean breeze in and everythings good. This is a first floor unit and the ocean waves are thirty feet from the patio, the constant sound of the ocean might not be for everyone but I loved it

Beach Access lacking

On line listing shows beach with reasonable access. In actuality, stairs end with four foot drop off to rocks and no beach. This unit is located on primary entry corridor in front of elevators. Very noisy day and night.

I have no control over Mother Nature, and unfortunately December and January storms took their toll on the northwest coastline of Maui, and since we have a SEASONAL beach (as indicated by my listing as "beachfront/oceanfront"), harsh winters will take all sand away. Our property is about to spend $1.5M to redo the stairs to the beach/ocean for year-round safe access. Pictures are real, and are indicative of beach access May through October, with peak beach height in July and August. As for noise, I have had one other complaint in 12 years, as we are normally a very quiet building. Staying in my unit several times per year for 12 years, I have never experienced "very noisy", nor even a "little noisy", at night when trying to sleep. Not one single night. With our building, if one is trying to sleep during the day I would suspect that it would never be quiet, as there is daytime road noise, pool noise, and general noise from people being active. Again, since I've had one other complaint in 12 years I am led to believe that whatever this guest experienced was abnormal.

Wonderful, relaxing stay!

Really enjoyed the location -- so fun to watch the whales from the lanai while eating my meals. While there's no traditional beach at the condo, the lounge chairs along the seawall were great for catching some sun. When I got too hot, I'd go down the stairs to get in the water (and snorkeled with a couple sea turtles right there). Trips to nearby beaches were easy, too, and I took advantage of the beach chairs, mats, and cooler that were in the condo. Condo itself was clean and the bed was comfortable. Had a few small issues (dishwasher and icemaker were both out of service during my trip; struggled a bit to line up the back slider to get it locked/unlocked), but the pros far outweighed the cons.

We arrived to keys under the mat- perfect for after hours arrival! The condo was so cozy and perfect for the 2 of us. Very clean and well stocked. We loved watching the sunsets with the neighbors each night. All the little crabs on the beach, turtles swimming by and geckos on the patio! The coffee shop down the road is perfect walking distance to the best coffee! The Fish Market was our nightly dinner pick up for a patio dinner! We loved the sound of the waves all day long, with quick access to down town Lahaina for shopping! Would absolutely stay here again! Beach front without resort chaos . This place has a special little magic about it that I hope it never loses!

We're so happy to share our Maui home with you! Sitting on the wall just above the sand in the morning with my hot beverage, listening to the waves, observing Moloka'i and Lana'i light up as the sun comes up on them, and watching those silly little crabs is truly one of my favorite things! Not to mention snorkeling right next to those turtles... that's my paradise! We both grew up in Washington and absolutely share a love of the beach. Watching sunsets over the water, floating in the water, soaking up the sun.... that's what we love in Hawaii. Our teenage kids are no different. We are so happy to share our paradise home... from our family to yours!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We knew we wanted a place where we would want to retire to eventually. The northwest coast of Maui is simply the most beautiful spot in the world for us. We then wanted something that was right on the ocean that was quiet with a true Hawaiian feel. When we came upon this condo we absolutely fell in love with it and the location... right on a beach, literally 12 steps off of the lanai. We have found paradise!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

We love the fact that we have a beach directly in front of us that gives us all of the unique opportunities to snorkel and bodyboard right there. There is nothing like sitting on our lanai in the early morning, sipping on our coffee or tea, watching the sun rise behind us and cast a sunny glow on both Molokai and Lanai and lighting up the ocean directly in front of us. It's simply amazing!
