Our double family wedding 5 day weekend will forever be cherished by our stay at the Black Swan. Extraordinary accommodations and Camila our host was accessible, polite and efficient. This house rental really sets the bar high. Thank you we loved our stay.

This is a simple house with a great view right on the water. The beds and bedding were comfortable. Despite being on the water, it has a nice yard and little beach area.

Very nice house with a wonderful location. Apart from that though we were a little disappointed that not everything was available as pictured. The Cabana was missing seating and the grounds were basic. In the pictures it looks like a resort with palm trees! No palm trees but overall beautiful views and a nice stay.

Beautiful home and views

Check in was easy; great communication prior to and during our stay; there was a concern of ice on the stairs from the day melt and owner responded immediately and remedied the situation; home felt safe; off-road fenced parking a plus; home is on the main road that crosses the bridge so there was road noise but we got used to it; the view on the bay was amazing; lots of bathrooms; bedroom spaces were great; the spaces off the main house were cute; restaurants and bars within close driving proximity; Instacarted some groceries with ease; would love to come back during the active season!

As far as renting this house, I would simply say don't. It's not up to building code. The outdoor stairs are literally not attached to the house. They are frightening. The stairwell was made out of glass. Not plexiglass but breakable glass. The door to outside was less than 3-4 ft from the glass barrier. If someone tripped and fell outside there's a possibility of falling forward right into the glass, breaking through and going right off the second floor to the ground below. It's advertised as a 4 bedroom house and that's absolutely untrue. There are three bedrooms and an unattached room without access directly into the house. The bathrooms are tiny. The pier is unusable. It can't be walked on without ripping your feet or sandals into shreds. So the bay is inaccessible for swimming. The shower floors are disgusting with permanent stains. The driveway is basically an exit off the freeway. The house shakes when trucks go by. And the laundry room is like the basement of the movie Psycho. If you can even find it. When I arrived there was a hair brush in the master with long black hair in it. And under the house there was a huge swath of mold and/or algae right under the stairs. My guests left the day after arrival.

Great stay, gorgeous view, careful low ceilings on 2nd floor

The stay was wonderful and so much fun for my family. The decoration is very modern and the view is unparallelled. All the rooms in the property had a view of the ocean and I never got tired of seeing it. But be careful in the bathrooms as the 2nd floor ceilings are low, so tall guests may need be careful of their heads. And be mindful when showering, the water leaks out a little so you have to pay attention. The host was very responsive whenever I had any questions. Thank you for the wonderful stay

⸻The view was beautiful and the place was very clean. However, one of the sliding doors was broken—the lock had been removed and was sitting on the counter. Because of this, the door rattled loudly whenever there was wind. Since the house is right on the water and it happened to be a very windy weekend, the noise continued the entire time and made it difficult to sleep or relax.Additionally, the second sliding door did lock, but it was extremely hard to open and close. For the price we paid, even during the off-season, we expected fully functioning doors and a more peaceful stay. We shared our concerns with the host, but their only response was “Thanks for the information,” with no offer to address the issue or make things right.

We always want our guests to have a peaceful and relaxing visit, and we encourage guests to report any issues within the first 24 hours, so we can address them immediate whenever possible. Unfortunately in this case, we were informed about this after the reservation was completed, and we weren’t aware of the problem early enough to fix it during your stay.
 We completely understand how frustrating the noise must have been, and we genuinely appreciate you bringing it to our attention. The door has been repaired, and we’re always working to improve the experience for our guests. 
It’s unfortunate that the timing of communication affects our property’s rate.
