Our family had a lovely stay in this beautiful home that is across the street from Northport Harbor. The house has a gorgeous kitchen and is filled with art. We were very happy and we canât wait to return!
We so enjoyed our stay at this home, it had everything we needed and the location was absolutely perfect! We really enjoyed the pool and being able to walk to the park, harbor and downtown eateries! You couldnât have asked for a better location! Thank you Megan and Regina!
The home is beautiful, location is beyond awesome and the ease of booking and contacting property management was effortless. We enjoyed waking up in such luxurious surroundings and walking to the coffee shop for breakfast. You wonât regret it!
Every room of the historic home, its grounds and pool, physical location across from the harbor, and the very short walk to lovely downtown Northport's dining and entertainment (we saw a wonderful Broadway-style show) provided the "magic" we needed for our first ever visit to Long Island.
From the moment we stepped into the home, we knew we would love it. A Victorian mansion that takes one back to the 19th Century â with modern amenities, but without taking away anything away from the original character of the home. The owners filled the home with books and paintings. Sun-splashed unit with a garden, backyard, and swimming pool to match the interior in style and quality. Location is unbeatable. It is just steps away from everything in a small town, including the Village Park and a sailing dock. Communication with the owners was excellent. We hope to return soon!
Beautiful very old house in a wonderful location. The size of the property was wonderful. The pool in the yard was beautiful. Several other issues presented smaller problems for us. TV was virtually unusable, We also could not operate the coffee pot that was there, and didnât ask for some additional help other than the initial instructions. There was no central air conditioning, but window units in each bedroom, which were noisy and had filter issues. I was not very happy with the cleanliness of the property. I hope they will take care of that for future guests.
We were so looking forward to our stay at the Historic Captains House and it did not disappoint! Checking in was easy and meeting the property manager Regina gave us a sense of the personal touch. She is very kind and very knowledgeable about the home and the area of Northport. I wouldnât hesitate to reach out if we needed anything, which we didnât. Our host Megan checked in to be sure we had all we needed and encouraged us to reach out as well. The grounds and the home were clean and the beds were super comfortable. The pool was amazing. We actually spent more time at the house than expected because we were so relaxed. The town itself was very homey and welcoming. Everyone was friendly. Great farmers market on Saturday and we were fortunate to be there for the towns first Pride festival which honestly put my hometowns to shame. We would recommend this home to anyone looking for comfort, luxury, beautiful art and that lovely small town feel. Hosts and manager get A++++++!
We really enjoyed the private pool in the backyard as well as sitting on the front porch while listening to music in the park across the street. Great location with short walks to restaurants on Main Street.
