We absolutely loved staying in this quaint cottage. The hosts were very interested in our comfort and needs. The updated shower felt amazing after a long day at the beach. Our family truly enjoyed the neighborhood. The close proximity to Calf Pasture Beach and Marina with privacy made this property a gem. We look forward to returning in the future. Thank you for making our trip more enjoyable.
Lovely cabin with rustic log walls and rustic upper flooring. Nice gas fireplace, and comfortable sofa and chairs for 5 by the fireplace. Smart TV with Roku, easy to navigate. Really nice walk in shower. Overall a pleasant and cozy place.
We're looking for a weekend getaway to go to a quiet beach and the aquarium. This rental has everything we were looking for and was a comfortable stay for us. Everything was very easy and hassle free. Would highly recommend.
My husband and I stayed here for a weekend visit for a wedding. The house is beautiful with a great view in a beautiful neighborhood. We were able to get ubers to and from even during a very rainy weekend. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed. Access and communication was a smooth process. We recommend visiting The Galley at the Marina for breakfast bagels and coffee.
Such a great place! Communication with host was excellent. Iâm so glad I picked this instead of a nearby hotel. The cottage has been recently renovated with new finishes throughout. The bedding and linens are very nice and comfortable. The kitchenette and living room have everything you need. The 2 outdoor spaces: front porch and side patio are a great place to have a morning coffee or unwind at the end of the day. Would definitely rent again next time Iâm in the area!
My sister, brother in law and myself stayed in the rustic cabin for 4 days/3 nights. The communication we had with the owner from the beginning was prompt and informative. You do not need to bring any extras, they are all there!
While sitting on the deck one morning, the owners brought over a book of the history of the cabin which made it all more interesting!
The location is great and convenient and quiet!
We will be back!
Adorable and comfortable. Not a "real" kitchen but easy to easy-to-use mini appliances - especially grateful for the BIG freezer. The (gas) fireplace is a joy, the views are spectacular, great walks to the beach. Very reliable internet! Plenty of warm blankets and pillows. The (shower) bath is beautiful - and lots of hot water (note the kitchen hot is down not up!). Our host was lovely and attentive. Many thanks.
Staying here in Nov. made us really appreciate the gas fireplace (nicest one I've ever seen) and tons of soft blankets & throws. Although no full stove, we used toaster oven (has air fryer setting, but we don't know how to use that lol), and 2-burner hot plate to cook eggs, soup, etc. Also have a sanyo drawer microwave (a first for us), and a 2-drawer fridge which offered lots of room, as well as a separate mini freezer. nice pots. Beds and furniture VERY comfortable. We had to gerry-rig a curtain that was brought to us for over the bathroom window, but hopefully they will put something permanent in place. Stairway is a little steep (was too steep for our older dog to maneuver). Sleeper sofa downstairs comfortable too. Lots of old wood floors upstairs and beams. Shower great (bring body wash) with mini-split right overhead. (Be mindful of step in bthrm!) Stayed over a week and was very comfortable. Close to beach and a lovely area.
This is a beautiful place to stay and in a great area, The hosts were very considerate and helpful, and the place was very clean. I would definatly reccommend staying here.
I would really give it 4.5 stars instread of 4 because it was a nice stay. We were visiting for Fairfield Univ Parents Weekend (a little far given the traffic/construction on I-95) so were really weren't there for beach or the town. Gorgeous golf course nearby (my guess is it is private so don't get too excited). The only downside was as we were trying to relax on saturday afternoon/evening a plumber had to turn off water for a while and made some grinding noise that seemed to last longer than expected. I guarantee this will not happen on your stay, it's just my luck. The property owner was very nice and communicate sufficiently.
