Nestled in the charming village of Beattystown, New Jersey, this historic stone mill estate offers a one-of-a-kind vacation experience. Built in 1750 and renovated by a Yale-trained architectural designer, this 6,000 square foot home features exposed hand-hewn beams, thick plank steps, and an entire wall of glass with a view of the millrace flowing beneath the living room. The soaring space includes four bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, two stone fireplaces, and a pub for entertaining. The property is situated on a scenic plot of land with a view of the Musconetcong River, providing a tranquil retreat for your stay.
This was such an amazing house! It felt like an upscale treehouse with history and so much character. The house was spotless and it was such a beautiful location on the river. We would definitely stay again.
I was unable to go due to COVID, but my friends were so happy to be there! They enjoyed the beauty and happily shared many photos. It was convenient to Ethos Farm. Will book again. (Wish I couldâve been there!)
What an absolute gem this place is.
The host was awesome to deal with and the whole experience was a success.
Twelve guys for the weekend and we constantly found another item of interest during our stay.
From the beautiful building, the remote location and the interior features of craftsmanship, ingenuity and collections of furniture, a rock exhibit, and other unique inspirations. And of course, the trout fishing that is yards from the large, elevated deck.
We are all hopeful to do it again next year with some of the boys discussing with their families as a potential getaway spot.
