Relax with you friends and family in a charming 3 bedroom 2.5 bath lake front house where the scene outside might be a little too lovely to bury your head in a book. A serene open space with a screened in porch and a soaring ceiling overlooks the lake. The furniture is designed with a casual simplicity in a contemporary style. The bathrooms are designed with a soothing rain shower and master and guest bathrooms have bidet type toilet seats. This home is an ideal personal retreat or for a family to regroup and relax. Each room has a view of the lake. Along with stepping back to the rare sense of calm, floating, kayaking and swimming fun is to be had from the spacious and comfortably furnished dock where one might also spend time stargazing.

Beautiful place and well appointed. We had everything we needed. The lake is beautiful and we enjoyed the area. One of those places you can always go back to!

Lovely home

We just loved, loved the screened in deck!!! We sat out there as much as possible!! The home was very cozy and comfortable! All the furnishings were upscale and the kitchen was well stocked with the appliances that you would need. The fireplace is wonderful to get the chill off! I stayed for two months to check out the area. I couldn’t have picked a nicer home to stay at!! The lake is going through some cleaning but it was still wonderful to look at!!

Perfect location

Anything and everything we needed was in this home!! The owners where very quick to respond and we even got to meet Steve the owner! The home didn’t fall short on anything! The pictures on line where fantastic but didn’t even do all the justice they could!! I would stay in this home without a thought again!

Wow

Our stay for a long weekend was fantastic. Mary Ann was an unbelievable host; you could not ask for more as she made it so comfortable and easy. You also cannot want a better house and location either. Clean, comfortable and very well appointed. The beds, linens, towels all top quality. Plenty of room for a group of 4 adults. We hiked, kayaked, relaxed on the screen porch and watched football. Anyone looking for an A+ rental seriously look no further. Memories made!!

Perfect House

Mary Anne was an amazing host. The house is beautiful, warm and inviting, clean and comfortable and host considered all the little amenities that take this home to the next level. The view of the lake was spectacular. We really enjoyed looking out from the screened in porch. My boys loved trying out the kayaks provided. For most VRBO stays, we always bring everything with us as most homes aren’t always stocked but Mary Anne has thought of everything! I can’t wait to come back next year.

Thanksgiving blessings

We absolutely enjoyed our stay for the Thanksgiving holiday. We enjoyed every aspect of the home and had no trouble cooking our holiday meal in the beautiful kitchen. The view from each room of the house is breathtaking and my family enjoyed the sunrise and sunsets each day. The home is located only a few minutes from Chimney Rock which led to a fun day tooling around and visiting the state park. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Our host was gracious and easily accessible if we had questions. It is obvious the owners built this home with lots of thought and reflection on relaxation!!

First Class Accommodations - Perfect in Every Way

The host of this property was simply amazing. She was the best. Her communication was incredible. As soon as I saw the pictures of the property online, I immediately knew that is where we wanted to stay. Upon arriving at the house, we could not believe all of the wonderful modern amenities that the place contained. It was pure luxury right down for the quality of the sheets and towels. It was very tastefully decorated and comfortable. It was such a great place to relax and enjoy the peacefulness of the lake. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay or experience. Everything was just perfect! Thank you to our amazing host.

Perfect lake vacation

We had the pleasure of staying this past weekend in this charming home. From the moment we walked in the front door and saw the stunning lake view, our stay was perfect. This home has been beautifully remodeled and decorated and the hosts have supplied absolutely everything you would need. Everything is high end and high tech. We thoroughly enjoyed hanging out on the dock and lounging on the floating chairs. The kayaks were a huge bonus and we used them every morning. There are lake views from every bedroom and the screened in porch with cozy couches is the perfect place to spend an evening. The owner Mary Ann was very helpful and quick to respond to all of our questions. Would definitely come back.

Perfect Get-Away

This property was absolutely perfect for a quiet get-away long weekend over fall break. It is right on the water on a quiet spot of Lake Lure. My husband, three children (17, 19, 21), and my oldest child's boyfriend were easily accommodated in this clean, spacious, and comfortable house. We spent our evenings on the large screened porch catching up on our busy lives and relaxing as the water lapped right below us. During the day, we read books on the porch, watched football, and went on nearby hikes. At night, we grilled out on the deck and the weather was nice enough for us to eat outside. Plenty of room for all of us and every detail of the stay was thought through. I can't recommend this place enough!

Absolutely the best lake house!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Lake House, and I can confidently say it was a perfect experience. The property itself was immaculate. Every room was spotlessly clean, and the attention to detail was evident throughout the house. It felt like a true home away from home, with everything in pristine condition. The host was exceptional. Communication was prompt and helpful from the moment we booked until the end of our stay. They provided clear instructions and were always available to answer any questions we had, ensuring we felt welcomed and well taken care of. One of the highlights of our stay was enjoying the tranquil mornings by the lake, either kayaking or simply relaxing on the deck. The combination of the beautiful setting, comfortable accommodations, and thoughtful touches made our stay truly memorable.

Most Relaxing Vacation Ever!!!!!!

For the last few years we have rented a lake house each summer. Our kids are 5 and 8 and enjoy swimming enough for the house to be the main event. When we saw this Lake Lure house we jumped at the opportunity to spend a week on the lake with a view of the mountains Chimney rock. It was by far the nicest house we have ever rented. The Dock was large with comfortable seating, the boathouse had inflatables ready to use, the screened in porch was the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee, the water next to the dock started shallow and increased in depth allowing even our young kids to stand in the shallows. Opening double doors on the main level really make the house feel large. Everything is upgraded! From the front steps to the kitchen, docks, bathrooms and bedrooms everything is new and clean! Highly recommend to anyone wanting to get away!

The BEST Vacation!!

What a stay! Wow, all I can say is wow. From the moment we booked to even a few days after our stay. Mary was a phenomenal host who exceeded all our expectations. The house was SO clean upon arrival and it was stocked up with all the kitchen and bath supplies you needed. We noticed a bee hive that had formed under the deck our first morning and Mary was super diligent and prompt on getting someone out to remove it as soon as possible. I was able to text her throughout the stay if I had any questions and she was always quick to respond. My husband and I took our two young kids (3 and 6) and none of us wanted to leave! The kids loved jumping off the dock and swimming in the gorgeous lake. Having the kayaks readily available was a great treat as well! The views, oh the views. So much fun and many memories made! We will definitely be back!! Thank you so much, Mary!

I know you had to leave so the kids could get to camp on time, but there is a camp at Rumbling Bald and I know that kids love it. They play in the water park, the river pool and they go tubing etc. Then, at the end of the afternoon, they can enjoy the evening at Thistle Do. It's just an idea. Perfect lake house - exceeded expectations

We had an unbelieveable weekend at the house. Mary was so attentive and responsive. The house was full of everything we needed besides our own food. The house is very updated, clean, and well appointed, and was perfect for our party of 6. It is so close to the lake and only has a few steps to the dock, which is great for older and younger family members (our party consisted of my wife and I, our 10 and 12 years olds, and my parents). We rented a boat from Lake Lure Boat Rentals and they delivered the pontoon to the dock and picked it up as well. I recommend them for anyone looking to rent a boat as part of your stay. We were able to enjoy the entire lake, without getting in our car. We boated from the house to various coves, found rope swings, and docked at a restaurant for lunch. During the morning and evening hours when it was cool enough, we opened the glass sliding doors and enjoyed a lot of time on the screened in porch. The grandparents enjoyed sitting on the porch and the dock while the kids were kayaking around the cove as well. We left wishing we had more time, but we hope to come back for another stay.

Wonderful Lake Getaway

My family and I have been slowly falling in love with the North Carolina. We have done several trips to different areas during different times of the year. However, this year we were looking for a lakefront home during the summer to make lasting family memories. This was by far the best rental home we have had the pleasure of staying at. To start with the view is absolutely stunning as soon as you walk in the front door you feel immersed in beautiful Lake Lure. Marry Ann was a great host and answered all of our questions promptly. We felt very welcomed from the start of the booking process through check out. The home was tastefully decorated. You can instantly tell this is not your average rental and is cared for extremely well. We found everything we needed in the kitchen for our family of 5 two adults and 3 children. The very comfortable and adjustable bed in the master was also a pleasant surprise! We stayed a week and wished we would have booked longer. There were so many activities in the area we hiked Chimney Rock, went tubing down the Broad River, took boat tours at the local marina and spent a day at Lake Lure Beach just to name a few. Not to mention the best part which was lounging on the beautiful boat dock watching our children swim/float for hours. If you are considering this home for your relaxing lake vacation do yourself a favor and book it you won’t regret it.

Absolutely Adorable

This little gem definitely surpassed our expectations. As a frequent Lake Lure traveler it was nice not scaling a mountain getting to the property or to the lake from the property. The owners of this property definitely spent a lot of money on this little gem making this a very comfortable stay. Renters will quickly realize that everything is new and in outstanding condition. Access to the lake is wonderful and it is pretty convenient to Chimney Rock, Ingles and local eating establishments. The property is beyond accommodating for adults seeking a peaceful getaway. My wife and I enjoyed coffee every morning in the screened in porch followed by sunbathing on the dock, when we weren't floating in the lake. Every accommodation that you would want in a property was definitely provided in this little gem. One accommodation that was either overlooked or not advertised was the bidet toilet seat...shockingly, I've been won over. Lastly, the best part of this property were the views from the water. The owners provide kayaks for a beautiful self guided tour to take in the sights. They also have a mini fridge in the boat house which was most helpful for keeping some adult beverages at the desired drinking temperature. Would I recommend this property...YES!
