Had a great birthday on the lake! The house was perfect for a small group of family/friends. We enjoyed jumping off the dock house, and watching the weather on the large back porch. Also the bar/restaurant Canoe Kitchen was a really awesome spot that is basically walking distance from this house. We can’t wait to come back.

We had an amazing stay at M&M Rockhouse! The views from the home were spectacular and the private dock/swimming area was perfect for our toddlers. The neighborhood was quiet and an easy drive into the downtown as well as to the grocery store. The house does feel like it could be better maintained/felt older inside than expected, and the dock could use an update. I wouldn’t classify the home as “luxury” other than the views and lake access. With that said, we did have a great time and would consider booking again in the future.

No glassware ( 4 cups total) so we had to buy some solo cups to get through. No ceiling fans worked except 1 br and it sounded like it was going to fall from the ceiling. Multiple lights were inoperable as well. Rooms were very hot at night so there must be an AC duct issue. On a good note view of lake was great!

This house was listed as a LUXURY RENTAL! By Yonder company. There was nothing luxurious about it. The place was dirty including the only 2 glass's ware that was there! No wine glasses.. The only two rocking chairs outside were filthy. Screen on slider was attempted to be taped together with duck tape! No dishwasher. The dryer was placed so all you could do was to open the door 3”! You could not turn down the A/C below 70 or it would freeze. Not cool enough for sleeping and the ceiling fans rattled so we could not use them! The stairs going down to the dock are scary and if you have any problems walking or little kids be aware. 2 dirty chairs down by the dock.. I did complain and they went and purchased glassware ( which I hand washed and organized the cabinet so they would fit.. ) They wiped off the chairs and tightened the wobbling table but that was that. They offered to send in the cleaning crew but that would not have sold the problems. We left after 48 hours into our weeklong stay. I have tried to resolve this by asking for parcel deposit back but they will not refund us anything. I could continue but..l would not recommend this rundown place.

Gorgeous view!

We had an excellent time just sitting on all of the different decks and looking at the water. The fire pit was great and the house was very clean. We will definitely be back!

Perfect amount of space for our group of 4. Plenty of patios/docks to sit out and enjoy the water and mountain views. Reasonable pricing. Would recommend.

This is a great little spot and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place on Lake Lure. It’s convenient and well taken care of in a good location on the lake and having the dock to relax on and the kayaks to take out made for a really great vacation. This is my second time at this house and I will definitely be back!

Favorite spot on Lake lure.

This is our second time staying here and we love it. We enjoy the quietness and amenities of the property. Will probably be back in the future.

Great location and beautiful views.

The home is nice and the view is perfect. Could not ask for better management. We had a bear come and do some damage to the property one night and the management was there the next morning fixing everything. The home was nice and beds were great!

Good location with nice outdoor space.

Right on the lake with nice views. The outdoor spaces are the best part of this property. Covered deck, boat house deck, dock space & stone fire pit make this a great spot. The house is a bit dated, but overall clean. The bedrooms and beds are small, but comfortable. I would stay here again in the warmer months.

Beautiful vibe

Had a great time with family. Grandkids loved hanging out by the water. Easy commute to Asheville. Very peaceful. Place was clean and accommodating. Even our pups had a great time. Neighbors were very nice. You can tell everyone watches out for each other. Safe place to be. Thanks again!!

Quiet property on beautiful lake

The property of this house is why we selected it - on the lake with several different outdoor spaces for relaxing. We enjoyed having the dock for our pontoon rental, the firepit with lake views, the upper patio and kayaks. The house is on a quiet street. The roads to get to the house from Asheville are the curviest we've been on! The house is a tad outdated, but did have new flooring throughout which was very nice.

My family and I visited Lake Lure to celebrate Father's Day 2026. My husband was absolutely delighted. In his opinion, this was the best lakeside rental we’ve ever had—and we’ve certainly rented quite a few. He accomplished his goal: fishing. He caught plenty of fish, but the one that really made him happy was a bass; in fact, it was the biggest one he’s ever caught, weighing in at 8 pounds.As for the house, it is very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing any kind of meal, and the outdoor grill was wonderful. The house was clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The best part is the view of the lake and mountains. You can tell the owners have put a lot of care into every detail; there is a beautiful designated area for swimming with a nice access, where even small children can swim safely. I truly enjoyed being there. And there are plenty of spots to sit and enjoy the scenery. My husband and I enjoyed the view while having our morning coffee; we even had a visit from a hummingbird. The sunsets were also beautiful and majestic.The team managing the property and providing support—Yonder—was extraordinary. They were very kind and attentive; whenever a question came up, they responded immediately. A huge thank you to the Yonder team for their hospitality. While being there, we visited Lake Lure Beach, El Lago Mexican Restaurant, Lake House Bar and Grill, and The 828 Restaurant; all were good. It was a great vacation. Definitely 5 stars.
