Adorable 3 bedroom, 2 bath single family home facing the Gulf of Mexico in the quaint town of Fort Morgan in Gulf Shores, AL! Located in the Morgantown subdivision, you're just steps (approximately 1,000 ft) to the beach with beach access and a great view. The property is practically, but not technically, beachfront with just one empty lot between you and the beach. Also, the deed to the property includes the access path to the beach, so you're not trespassing when you walk straight from your doorstep to the beach. Once you stock the pantry and refrigerator with food and snacks, you never have to leave the property to experience the beach for a long vacation or weekend trip. Enjoy your morning coffee on the covered porch with a swing and outdoor furniture while taking in the view. Grill lunch for the family in the afternoon with a barbeque pit on the second level of the deck. Relax in the Adirondack chairs at night around the firepit after a long day at the beach. Plenty of parking right up to the house to unpack your belongings using the convenient luggage ramp. Garbage is picked up and brought to the road for you 2x a week! Full spacious laundry room to store all the beach gear. The Fort Morgan area of Gulf Shores is the best-kept secret in town and has a very family-friendly environment.

Charming vacation away!

We really enjoyed our stay! It was wonderful to get away for a little while with family and enjoy the beach. The location is in a super cute neighborhood and is very cozy and quiet! Just a short walk to the ocean, it was absolutely PERFECT for us!

Great location, comfy house

My wife and I along with our sons, 23 and 21, spent memorial week at the “cottage by the shore”. We were beach bums all week and this placed was perfect. If you want the beauty of the beach, smaller crowds, and a porch you could sit on for days, this is the absolute perfect place for you.

Overall it was a good vacation! There was a mix up with the cleaning but it got resolved quickly and we were reimbursed for our troubles. The house was great with everything we needed. There are beach toys, chairs, and a wagon for the beach already there. We slept 7 adults and 3 toddlers in the house. Theres about a 325 yard walk to the water with a hill, so with toddlers and heavy coolers it was a workout. If your about to get a really good beach wagon then it could be better. But we were about to leave our coolers, canopy, and chairs on the beach and they were never bothered with!

Cottage on the shore

Our stay at the Cottage on the Shore was just what everyone needed to unwind and relax. The Cottage was clean and very comfortable. The host was very qiuick to respond to messages and took care of any issues asap. The host also let us well informed of activities they thought we would enjoy which we did. Would definitely recommend staying at the Cottage on the Shore.

Great Stay

Our family had a great time at the Cottage on the Shore! We enjoyed the easy access to the beach. Just a two minute walk thru the sand dunes to the beach. The house was clean and communication with the host was good. I would recommend buying groceries in Gulf Shores before heading out to the house. The quick access to the beach was awesome, and the house is further away from the public access points to the beach so it felt like you head the beach to yourself. Definitely would recommend and would stay again!

Perfection

This was exactly what we were looking for. The view of the beach in the morning was fantastic. Having our coffee relaxing on the back porch while watching the dolphins jump was exactly what we had hoped for. The cottage was so comfortable and cute and is the the perfect location.and had several things that were important to us as seniors. The luggage ramp and wagon were great. We were able to load all of our beach chairs cooler and anything else needed into the wagon and take off. The customer service from Heather was spot on. Questions were answered and the ease on checking in and out was perfect. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

New Favorite Beach House!!

I have been coming to this shore line since I was a little girl. I’ve stayed in many waterfront homes. Let me just say that this cottage was so great! The location was perfect, private, and the views were amazing! I would definitely stay here again! High notes: the air conditioning was on point. The water pressure was outstanding. It was clean. The Dollar General is 2 miles down the road and they have everything you’ll need. And the host communication was perfect! I wish the master bed was a tad more comfortable, but other than that
this home was close to perfection! We lucked out this year because the house next to us was empty this week, so it was super quiet. That said, depending on your neighbors your week might not be as quiet as ours. But still 9.5/10

Originally from New Orleans, I stuck to the city most of my life and only started taking consistent trips to the beach as an adult. I didn't know what I was missing! The serenity at the beach just resets your soul, so as a host, I love being able to help others experience this as well. We all need that!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

I chose the neighborhood by accident. I was looking for something in Gulf Shores but had never been to the Fort Morgan area because I didn't know it existed. I thought all of Gulf Shores was surrounded by condominiums. So, what I enjoy most about the area is the space and privacy. However, if you want to venture out, you don't have to drive far. It's perfect to me; the best of both worlds.

It has a beachfront feel without the beachfront price. The reason it has the feel of a beachfront is because the lot between the house and the beach is currently empty meaning that nothing is obstructing the beach view. Also, the deed to the property includes the access path to the beach, so you're not trespassing when you walk straight from your doorstep to the beach.
