The perfect house in the perfect spot with everything you’ll want for your upcoming vacation!!! Shore Thing Beach House is a very nice 3 bedroom-2 bath house featuring a beautiful 12 x 28 private HEATED swimming pool (November - April. $50 per day), surrounded by a 25 x 40 sun deck. This home offers the best of both worlds. You can spend the day at the beach frolicking in the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico & playing in the sand or, if you prefer, you have access to your own private pool. The deck provides awesome views of both Mobile Bay and the Gulf of Mexico and is perfect for sun bathing. When you come back from the beach be sure to rinse off in the enclosed outdoor shower with both hot & cold water. Morning sunrises to late night talks can be spent on the covered front porch which offers plenty of seating and three rocking chairs. Other amenities include Satellite TV, TV’s & DVD’s in all bedrooms and living room, an outdoor grill and a very well stocked kitchen.

Of the 3 bedrooms, the master bedroom has a king size bed; bedroom 2 has a queen size bed and bedroom 3 has a queen & twin size bed. The living room has a queen size sleeper sofa. Sleeps 9.

Free WIFI, microwave, blender, coffee pot, dishwasher, laundry room.

Must be 25 years of age to rent this home. No smoking and no pets allowed.

This is absolutely the best property to stay with the beach basically at your front door. I love not having to go up and down stairs to the private pool this place also offers. There are several eateries within a 5 mile radius. It’s a beautifully quiet end of the beach. This house has everything you could possibly need for a great vacation.

Shore was a much needed thing

Much needed r&r , weather was great and the food was wonderful in area. Mick our host is great to work with. Sunsets on bay are awesome ( even if there was a few clouds).

Shorething was a perfect Spring Break Getaway!

Mick was friendly from the moment I booked and continued to respond quickly when I had any questions. The house was perfect for our family & grandparents. The kids loved the heated pool and the very short walk to the beach. The outdoor shower with hot water is what every beach house is missing! I kept the kids shampoo out there and would go ahead and bathe all three when leaving the beach. Fort Morgan is so peaceful-none of the spring break crowd.

Fantastic stay!

We had a great time at A Shore Thing. By far the cleanest property we have stayed at using VRBO. Great communication by the owners. The location is perfect and quiet, nice view of the gulf and just a quick walk to the beach. We will stay at this property again!

Our family enjoyed our stay here. The place was clean. The view of the beach from the front porch is amazing. Our kids loved the pool. It’s a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The host is very accommodating. We would stay here again!

Perfect Beach House and Pool

The Shore Thing is an awesome house. Perfect size for our group of 6. Great location right across street from beach access. We got a lot of use out of the heated pool. Good description, everything we needed was there. Had a great week, great place!

Our Stay at the Shore Thing

Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Gulf Shores. The house was sufficient but I wish the grounds were a bit more kept up. The pool was a nice addition since we had a small child who wanted to swim but a bit afraid of the ocean.

Priceless memories

House is beautiful, location to the beach is excellent, views are excellent. Front porch sitting every morning and every evening was great!. Pool right out the back door. Outside shower was loved by all! A great stay!

The Shore Thing

Great 1st visit to Fort Morgan Beach. The home was very clean and worked well for our group of 8 (2 families of 4). Loved having our own pool out the backdoor and the beach just steps out the front door. Fort Morgan made for a very relaxing vacation. The owner was very flexible and patient with us and our questions prior to arriving. Mick was extremely responsive and great to work with.

Surprise!!!

Our elderly mother enjoyed her trip to the beach. We made it even better by surprising her with her son coming in from Texas. The house is located in a very nice area just steps from the beach. The house also has a pool for added fun! The owner is beyond helpful and quick to answer questions or concerns. We found the house very comfortable for 8 ppl and would recommend it to friends and family looking for a beach get away!

Very nice property. Great location, well maintained, furnished and cleaned. Nice gift bag provided water, hugger and sunscreen. As a practical matter, we would have preferred a box of tissues and a 2nd roll of toilet paper. The only real negative was a listing failure. Given the time of year, I selected this property specifically for the heated pool. After arrival, I learned there was an additional $50 per day fee to actually turn the heater on.

Awesome property, great pool, beautiful views and wonderful owner

We had such a wonderful time at this great property. The pool was heated to 85 so even on the 65 degree days we were able to swim. There was an issue and we TEXTED (he gives his phone number) and he was over at the property within 5 mins to check it out. Great views all the way around the property. It is across a non-busy road to the beach, very simple short walk. Very clean property. We will be renting here again next year.

Thankful for "Shore Thing"

For the past 3 years, we have made Gulf Shores an annual R&R destination over Thanksgiving. This year we chose "Shore Thing". Shortly after booking our stay, we discovered the home was under contract. This made us a bit nervous, and we were apprehensive of any changes, or cancellation of our booking. The previous owner and the new owner were very attentive and kept us well informed of the process in change of ownership. The new owners honored all details of our booking. Mick was very pleasant, easy to work with, and the transition went smoothly. Mick was also very responsive to any inquiries during our stay. Our stay here was wonderful! We were pleasantly surprised to have a "welcome bag" upon our arrival. Everything was as pictured on the VRBO website. The home is just a few steps to the beach with an unobstructed view of the ocean. We spent several hours in the rockers and porch swing viewing the ocean, listening to the soothing waves, observing beautiful sunsets, and even enjoyed a few days of the military jets flying over. The home was very comfortable, modern and tastefully decorated. The master king suite is on the main level, the bed was a bit firm for our liking, but surprisingly did not affect our sleep one bit! The kitchen was well stocked with most everything we needed to cook a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Only downside of the week... It was a bit on the cool side to make use of the pool out on the back deck. We give this home, and the hosts, 5 stars! Don't hesitate to book your stay here, you will not be disappointed.

The unit overall was nice. Wished beach towels were provided. Only one roll of toilet paper was provided. Wished the pool was heated. Water temp was extremely cold. Bed skirt in master bedroom was filthy.

My wife Kim and I have been married for 17 years and like most men….I’ve truly outkicked my coverage in landing her! She’s in the business world and I have been a coach my entire adult life (hence the “outkicked my coverage” remark). We have been vacationing on the Gulf Coast for over 17 years at different spots up and down the “Redneck Riviera”. There’s truly no place like Fort Morgan….so we decided to set up shop here.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Location, location, location!!! If you like the laid back version of beach life then the Fort Morgan area is right up your alley. A solid 15-20 minute ride back into Gulf Shores is far enough to get you away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to still make a day of it without having to drive forever. And if you like being able to spread out away from other folks on the beach, then welcome home. Even in the busy times there’s still plenty of room for everybody to spread out. Not a whole lot of places on the coast that can claim that.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Our place is a stones throw from the beach. You can walk from our driveway to the beach access in less than a minutes time (NOT hustling either!). As a result of this proximity, the views are absolutely amazing! And oh by the way, not just from the front porch. The back deck is offset from the house so you can still get a knockout view of the ocean from there as well. And speaking of the back deck, it just happens to have a killer pool sitting right in the middle of it! Few things better in life than spending the day at the beach and watching the sunset from the pool. Come see for yourself!
