A Beautiful and Joyful Place For A Writing Retreat!

I was looking for a place to write for a week and The Hummingbird provided the perfect spot. Gorgeous views of Silverlake, hummingbirds and butterflies flitting about, and an elegant and cheerful interior, perfect for focused creative work. Thanks for having me!

Great place, a little noisy

The space is well appointed and in a beautiful location with all the amenities you’d need. The only downfall this time was that there were loud and pretty constant footsteps overhead from the main house. Sounded like people wearing heels and doing a ton of walking during the day and even at night. Lots of loud footsteps. This was our second time staying here and we did not have this experience the first time. We had gotten a message on the day of checking that there were children in main house and that was fine. It was not the children noises that were loud, it was adult footsteps. Aside from that the place is lovely.

We had a wonderful stay here! Amazing location, super communicative host, and a cute and clean space. The family who lives in the main house was also super friendly and welcoming whenever we did see them.

Great location with a view and easy access to walking around Silver Lake in the morning. Walk to cute cafes as well. Comfortable and clean.

This was the perfect place for the two of us. Quiet, stylish, clean, and a great view out of a cozy corner. The hosts are friendly and helpful.

Great stay!

The hosts and location were amazing. Very easy check-in / checkout. Highly recommend this stay for anyone who wants to be close to the LA attractions or just for a quiet get-away with great views!

Incredible!!!

This house is so beautiful. Nestled at the top of the hill looking over the reservoir. To be in LA and feel peaceful..... Every detail in the house spoke to sophisticated minimal luxury design. LOVED staying here. I hope to come back soon!

gorgeous hilltop retreat

Just beautiful views and vibes from this small but comfortable guest sweet. Wake up to Silver Lake and the Mountains! Everything smelled good, was super clean, and there were all the necessary amenities. 10/10 recommend.

Thoughtfully designed, calming stay in Silver Lake

We truly enjoyed staying in the house, which was thoughtfully designed and curated with everything you could need for a shorter stay. We appreciated waking up to the view of the reservoir, birds chirping and preparing our morning coffee in the small kitchen. The bed, pillows and linen was incredibly comfortable and felt high-end. The bathroom was stunning, although the shower had some issues with slow drainage. Johnny was kind and welcoming when we met him at the property, the perfect host! We would love to stay here again sometime.
