Peaceful Cottage by Lake Wallenpaupack, Dog Friendly!

Come stay at The Cottage, just a stone’s throw from desirable Lake Wallenpaupack and town of Hawley! The perfect place to land after a day on the lake, or out enjoying the many things the area has to offer. The home is tucked away in a peaceful, wooded, golf-cart friendly neighborhood, just off Rt. 507, across the street from the lake and is well-suited for a couples retreat, or a small family and in walking distance to the Lake.

Although secluded, we are only minutes from several restaurants, marinas, hiking trails, sightseeing, antique shops, boating, kayaking, the public beach, grocery stores, and more. We are also close by to Silver Birches if you are attending a wedding and need a comfortable place to stay!

DOG-FRIENDLY
We love having our fur baby with us on vaca, and are happy to offer that to you! We trust that your dog is potty-trained and well-behaved. We have a tie up out front and disposable bags for you to properly dispose of any pet waste. The $75 pet fee is a one-time fee, however additional charges may be incurred for excessive pet hair, particularly on the bedding, so we kindly ask to please keep dogs out of the beds.

*There are some friendly neighborhood dogs that like to stop by and say hello sometimes, as well as deer, bear and other wildlife that frequent the area. Please do not leave your dog unattended for any period of time, for both their safety, as well as the safety of the other animals in the neighborhood. Please note that the yard is NOT fenced.

Through the front door you will walk into the cozy living room, featuring:

We pride ourselves on having comfortable and clean beds for all of our guests. You are here to relax, so we know that a good nights rest is key. Wake up in this bedroom to the beautiful view of the trees through the panoramic windows in the 3-Season room.

This room has:

BUNK BED ROOM:
Tiny but cute! The twin size bunk beds are comfy and just what your kids will need for a restful night before a big day out on the lake. We also have playing cards, games, and storybooks for rainy days.

3-SEASON ROOM/SUNROOM:
This room is the perfect place to enjoy the views of the trees and foliage through the large panoramic windows while you drink your morning cup of coffee. Join around the table (for 6) to enjoy a family dinner, a relaxing night cap, or a game night! We love watching the friendly neighborhood deer walk through the woods in the morning, and listen to the chirping crickets at night. This room has access through the primary bedroom, as well as the back deck off of the kitchen.

**This room is listed as a 3-Season room, as it is not insulated, therefore does get quite cold in the winter months. We have fold out dining trays that are perfect for dining indoors during the colder months.**

OUTDOOR SPACE:
The outdoor space features:
☑ A small deck on both the front and back of the house
☑ Charcoal grill
☑ Large picnic table
☑ Fire pit for a relaxing evening with friends, or some marshmallow roasting!
☑ We supply firewood!

** We do not supply charcoal for the grill, so you may need to pick some up if you plan on using the grill, or help yourself to any that has been left from previous guests. **

**The yard is on a pitch, but is not steep by any means. The yard is NOT fenced.**

**The neighborhood does have gravel roads, which do get icy in the winter months. Please keep this in mind if booking during this time of year.**
