Welcome! Get ready for hibernation and to enjoy the fall foliage at the Bear Den Cottage. The beautifully decorated cottage will be your home away from it all while being surrounded by wildlife and still conveniently located near Lake Wallenpaupack, breweries, restaurants and hiking trails. Enjoy the easy access; convenient location and entire private property during your stay. Come see why guests keep coming back!

The cottage is located on a private dirt/stone road it’s recommended not to arrive in lower from factory vehicles.

We had a relaxing two night stay at this cabin. It’s nestled in the woods and was very welcoming. It was super clean and had everything that we needed. The extra bonus of deer made our trip even more enjoyable. We would love to stay at this property again.

A cozy and lovingly-decorated cottage nestled among mature trees and moss-covered rocks, creating a magical feeling. The firepit was such a nice space. Everything felt like a home away from home. The host was super nice and made everything easy, secure, and comfortable. Would definitely consider for future stays .

Wonderful stay!

We had a great weekend in Tafton at the cottage :) Not too far for groceries etc. and Promised Land State Park is just 15 minutes away. We’ll definitely be back!

The weather didn’t cooperate, however, your place is super awesome! Our purpose was to take my niece to see the mountains. Being from the south, she was in awe of the wildlife here. We played games indoors and talked late into the night. Your place was a perfect cozy setting to create a wonderful memory bonding. I will definitely be back with my husband, Thank you so much!

Relax to the max

We enjoyed every minute. Everything we wanted was close by. We were very content just staying at the cabin and enjoying the space inside and outside. Look forward to another visit.

Family trip

Contacting Steve is easy, the only thing I will suggest is that they need to get new mattresses (my back still hurt from that), and they need to get those mice’s out of the house, other than that is a nice place to stay.

Very clean and quiet retreat

Steve’s place is incredibly clean and well maintained, inside and outside. The woods surrounding the house are quiet and pretty. Games and Netflix made my kids happy. Great coffee machine and accommodations pleased the adults! Will definitely return!

Close to lake

House was quiet nice little piece of property road was rough but there were big rain storms before we arrived. Houses around the property vacant very run down. Overall nice little house to hang out have a fire and be with a couple close friends. We mostly were on the lake fishing in our boat

The cottage was the perfect place for us, who were in the Poconos for a wedding. It was very clean, cozy and you can tell a lot of thought was put into making a great experience for their guests. We were greeted with sweet treats which was a pleasant surprise! I would definitely recommend staying here.

Great cabin for quiet getaway! Had everything we needed and more. Location was perfect for the lake and local breweries. Saw deer at the cabin every day. I definitely recommend this cozy and comfy cabin and will stay here again!

Great getaway

My 2 sisters and i booked this cabin as a fall foliage getaway and were not disappointed!! The Bear Den Cottage was very clean and well kept, beautifully decorated and a comfortable stay!! We will DEFINATELY plan a trip to stay next use!!!

Hello I am Steven and I would like to welcome you to my happy place. Bear Den Cottage was created to share with guests the wonders of this great area and the peace that it has brought us. Our goal is for you to reconnect with the outdoors and breath in the spirit of the lake region.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

I started enjoying the outdoors through tent camping and overlanding. Over the years I upsized to a camper and was introduced to the Lake Wallenpaupack area by wonderful friends who are now our extended lake family.

It is my pleasure to offer this cottage to you and to share the experience of the property which offers the best of the outdoors and convenience of downtown.
