What a wonderful location .A quiet river front setting allowing for boating, swimming, fishing or just enjoying a beautiful sunset having a beverage . An easy to get to location for the outlets, dining ,and any other amenities . Communication was easy with a quick response from the owner. The unit was clean with no lingering odors . This was a beautiful relaxing setting

Dave is always great to work with. This was our third year here and we always look forward to it. We love that we can bring our dog without any worries. Being able to go kayaking, canoeing or fishing is a great too. Lots of hiking trails close by that are dog friendly as well. The location is perfect too, right in the middle between Lake George and Saratoga.Thanks for another great year,Dave!

Host was nice and very knowledgeable on area. The place was clean and stocked with essentials. Was steps away from water. The entrance to cottage was very steep. We found the ambrosia restaurant with 10 minutes away for a great breakfast.

Secluded area but still close to town in case you need anything. Very peaceful in the morning. Caught a few perch right around the corner in the row boat. The fact that he delivers wood for your campfire is a nice added touch. Had a nice time in the area. Just gotta watch yourself if you are 6ft tall in a couple of the doorways. Bumped my head a couple times. Host response was very timely.

This was a great experience. The cottage feels like a secluded oasis, but is still close to everything. The hosts were great -- friendly and helpful. We're hoping to return next summer!

Truly a hidden gem!

We had such a great time on our trip! The cottage was perfect! We had everything we could possibly need, plenty of water sports to be had. The place was clean and very comfortable. Our teenagers loved it here too! Hope to come back in the future! It truly is a hidden gem!

Perfect Location

Waterfront location was a great value. Perfect central location to Saratoga (20 minutes south) and Lake George (15 minutes to the north). Canoe and kayaks were a total bonus. No shortage of local restaurants and bars in the town of Glen Falls. Will be back for sure.

Comfortable and Rustic

I've seen another recent review that trashed the cabin, but I did not find the issues they noted. David was an excellent host. If you come expecting a rustic cabin and not something more, you'll be happy with your choice. (Oh, if you have a fear of steep driveways, or an aversion to wildlife, this isn't the place for you.)

People and Pup approved

We enjoyed the privacy the property provided and it was great being able to bring our dog with us. Although the waterfront doesn’t have a beach, it’s perfect for launching the kayaks and canoes. The floating dock is great for sunning, fishing or birding. The location is great too as it has quick access to the highway and's is close to both Lake George and Saratoga. David, the owner, makes sure the cabin is very clean and stocked with any items you may need. He’s also very knowledgeable about the area and can answer any questions you may have to make your stay better. All in all we enjoyed ourselves very much and look forward to visiting again next year.

Wedding Weekend on the Hudson

A rustic cabin on the upper Hudson. Lots of boating and bonfires. A relaxing environment and plenty to do in the Glen Falls/Lake George region. Secluded and quiet, this is a get-away from it all type cabin. It is rustic, not luxurious which is what my family enjoys. Yes, the driveway is steep but it is soooo much fun to go up and down - if you like roller coasters. David is a wonderful host - responsive and accomodating. We had a wonderful weekend!

Vacation

A cozy cottage. Everything one could possibly need available. Fire starting material, dog run, coffee maker, all linens, hot shower, screen porch, TV, canoe, paddles, life jackets,…….. Private, on the edge of the river, beautiful view. We go for peaceful and quiet and that’s what we got. Host, David, available but unobtrusive. We brought our 60 # dog a young cat without difficulty. Close to stores and restaurants. Much enjoyed.

Another Great Stay

This was our second time staying on the property and our first time in this cottage. We love it here! The waterfront is shared with the other cottage, and it is great for fishing, boating, and swimming. The property is a beautiful slice of nature while being a quick and easy drive to all the area’s attractions. David is an excellent host. He’s easily reachable, very friendly, and a great resource for information on the area. The cottage is comfortable and maintained with love. It was a great size for us (2 adults, 2 young kids). The fire pit is right on the edge of the water, which is perfect for s’mores in the evening. We also really enjoyed the picnic table on the back deck for outdoor breakfasts. We would absolutely stay here again, and hope to in the future!

Peaceful

If you are looking for a little rustic, peaceful getaway, this is the spot. The cabin itself is quite old but offers all the things needed. The kids enjoyed the boats and fishing which was right there outside the door! The place could have been a bit cleaner in spots but nonetheless a nice place. The driveway should be mentioned as it was the worst part. The slope/incline is almost vertical, but our host assured us it was safe. Very scary, but we endured it several times and seemed to do ok! All n all. Nice place!

Short stay thank goodness

So I started writing this review and was stopped by 1500 charactors so will just have to get to the point. Driveway was scary and should have been described in listing. Sharing the outdoor area with another renter should have been noted. The pictures of the waterfront were lovely but, we were located in a cove of the water that was kinda gross. There was a swim area shown also but all the water was surrounded by wire fencing which was strange in order to use the water. Majority of the outdoor furniture was non useable with the exception of 4 new plastic chairs. Dirty and old, a swing that with closer inspection was a very old, extremely ripped cushion to the point that there was no actual fabic on the cushon and just shredded stuffing full of animal poop. Glad some family able to use two boats before we left because we were excited for that before we arrived. I did expect old and a "cabin". However it was dirty and really unacceptable. I immediately starting looking at hotels for us. Described as 3 bedroom, was not. Livingroom one of the bedrooms with a "sofa". Not a sofa, loveseat with a unbelievable dirty thin with stuffing desolved mattress. All beds very uncomfortable and second bedroom had trundle bed that once pulled out you have to climb over each other to get to sleeping area. Sheets, blankets, etc all thrown into a covered bench in balls. Fridge off, moldy, broken. Globs of hair in bathroom. Out of charactors to give full review. Beyond Annoying !!!

Summer 2022

Rented the property for a few days just to get away. The lake was perfect for my two teenagers. Plenty to do and enough space for the three of us. The owner was very nice. The kitchen could use an update with some new pots and pans and if you’re tall you may hit your head. Had a good time.

Family reunion

If making memories in a beautiful & peaceful setting sounds appealing to you then this is the place! We loved using the kayaks, canoes and the row boat to get across the river, dock the boats and then explore the hiking trails. At night we made s’mores at the fire pit and watched the beaver across the way swim around. Can’t say enough great things about this camp & it’s beautiful, private surroundings. SPAC 30 minutes away with traffic. David made sure we had everything we needed and was very helpful. I hope to be back next summer!!!
