Little White Cabin by the river, fishing trails, kayaking, near State Park lake
This pet friendly cabin is small with simple construction but priced accordingly. Located towards the front of our campground by RT 31 itâs easy to get to. This is our pet friendly cabin. The river is within 50 feet providing good trout fishing in the early season and other species throughout the year. The queen bed is right inside the front door and the bunks are in the side room beside the bathroom. Bathroom and small bedroom have curtains for doors to allow easy movement in the tight area. The space The whole cabin is yours. Youâre welcome to walk around the campground or along the river. The fire pit is located in the lot by the dumpster and picnic table. Please do not make a fire near the cabin. If the wind blows hard it will blow sparks into or under the cabin. Guest access You are welcome to go for a walk around the campground or along the river. You can make a fire at the fishing hole but please do not leave it unattended. Other things to note Just drive slowly in and out of the driveway. Respect others and enjoy.
My second time staying at the Little White Cabin. Had planned to return as soon as I checked out last July. So happy it was available for the 4th of July weekend. Planning on going back sometime in the fall . Love the Mushroom Curtains
Great location for our purposes. Convenient walk to the dumpster. The puppy was on to the mouse in the kitchen area. Upon arrival , everything was very clean and orderly. Entry instructions were excellent.
It was a cozy little get away and a nice little cabin. It was also pet friendly. The cabin was right along the Raystown Branch of the juniata. Thanks for having us!!
The property was perfect for us. We visited the Flight 93 Memorial with our 12 year old grandson. We also went to the Coral Caverns about a mile. Our grandson fished and found fossils in the stream. He loved that!
We had a great time! The cabin has everything you need for a great couple of days. Just a few steps away from fishing. Drove into Bedford and had a great brunch at a little boutique cafe called Bella Tera Vineyards which didnât disappoint. Enjoyed the Old Bedford Brewing Company and Bedford Moose #480. The cabins were in such a perfect location. We plan on coming back again to stay longer. Highly recommend :)
A cozy cabin getaway for my man's birthday. The cabin was very clean and the neighborhood was quiet. I was pleasantly surprised by the assortment of items available for use in the kitchen. I'm sure we will be back again.
It was an ok stay if u don't mind the musty mold smell which I believe is due to the water logged floor. The bathroom does not have a door and I thought I would fall through the shower floor due to it rotting away below. There is no queen bed onsite and sleeping two adults in a full size bed is very uncomfortable. There is a portable air conditioner that barely kept us cool. Bare amentities provided and only a mini fridge. I have stayed at cheap places before and they were in better shape. Oh yea we had a few hours of no water
The cabin was clean. However, when we arrived, we smelled strong mildew odors throughout. Opened windows and door. Noticed a moisture remover on curtain rods. During the night, my husband had an asthma attack from smell of mold or mildew. The bathroom is on an incline and when using the toilet, you slide back. The shower is a cheap plastic free-standing structure that has the one grab handle that apparently had come off previously and the hole was duct taped! The floor is uneven. Totally unsafe. The top bunk is nearly touching the ceiling. Unless the child is very small, this would be uncomfortable. We got out early the next morning because of the mildew/mold. I contacted via text the host, Jeff. Told me to contact VRBO for a refund. We did, and VRBO told us we needed to contact the host, which we did. He never responded to many texts. Took our money and ran. Lost our money on a rental that was a health hazard. Pulled from VRBO for a short time and previous reviews stated the same problem. His excuses over 3 years were "it rained all week" (did so at our home and ours doesn't smell of mold), hurricane, river floods. We took screenshots of the comments. When it was relisted, the reviews had been deleted! Could be a nice place if problems are fixed. Host excuses these issues because the rent is lower than "a hotel". True, but hotels face stricter scrutiny. Disappointed. No refund for the night we did not stay and an unnecessary and dangerous asthma attack.

Don't expect Peace & Quiet!
Cabin was cute. Very rustic as described. BUT the cabin is a stones throw from 31 West /Allegheny Road, which is a SUPER busy freeway. So don't expect any rest, or peace and quiet. Couldn't even enjoy sitting outside due to the traffic noise (day and night).
Beautiful area, friendly town folk, great hiking, incredible local owned restaurants, all was fantastic ~ except for the cabin location.
Make sure to visit "gravity hill" mind blowing.
Enjoy you adventures!
This place was perfect! Feet from the river great fishing. Everything was stocked lots of towels. Extremely clean. Not far from store but feel like you miles away. Games and card ect..
Will stay again cabins spaced out enough for privacy
We were traveling through and it was the perfect stop for my wife and I and our black lab. We want to go back and spend several days in warm weather and fishing season. The cabin was clean comfortable and well supplied. Thank you!
This was such a peaceful place to stay! I would make sure tho that its understood there is only one double bed. The booking site makes you think there are 2 and bunk beds! I would say the shower is a bit wonky tho. Otherwise tho I would definitely book this place again! Easy check in as well! Thanks for the stay Jeff Horn!
I am a Farmer and help operate our family cabin campgrounds. Im generally not available to meet and check you in however we have a self check in process.
We are a private campground and each cabin has its own yard with a fire pit. We're located near historic downtown Bedford. A great town to hit some shops and restaurants. Shawnee State Park is just 4 miles up the road with a 350 acre lake and 2000 acres of public land and trails. We have a few wineries and a brewery, the orchards are also very nice. Just up the road is Coral Caverns. A really nice little cavern with amazing sights. There's no ATV riding or public hunting on our property.
The campground area is about 10 acres and is surrounded by our farm of about 300 acres. The cabins are situated in a circle along the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River. We are located downstream from Shawnee Lake about 4 miles away. We also have river trails on the property you are welcome to fish, swim, float or kayak the river. Each cabin has a fire pit.
