Welcome to Cactus Mountain Hideaway! Enjoy stargazing, sunsets and sunrises from our tiny home overlooking unobstructed views of the desert mountain landscape. The property looks down over the beautiful valley below. Enjoy a cup of coffee & watch quail run past you from our outdoor lounge chairs. Cook up a meal with our outdoor bbq and relax in our hammock. Take a romantic dip in the the hot tub and relax by the fire pit after a day of exploring JTNP. Peaceful & romantic is an understatement.

Pleasant satay close to Joshua tree

Loved the place. Wish they'd provide firewood or state that they didnt have an oven, other then that loved the sunrise and sunset. Neighbors in motorbikes kept on riding up to the house while we were in the jacuzzi, other then that lovely stay.

Relaxing desert cottage

Great views from inside, outside and relaxing in the hot tub. A wondeful respite from amazing adventures in Joshua Tree. 29 Palms was surprisingly interesting. The Cactus Bar was a fun place for a post hike beer and yummy home cooking style food. Can't wait to return.

Exactly what you see in the pics

Cute spot, just like what you see in the pics. Great views from inside and from the hot tub outside. We told the host we were excited about the tub and they had it heated and ready for us when we arrived. So awesome!

Perfect for a quiet weekend getaway

This tiny home was perfect for two people wanting a quiet weekend away. We barbecued, sat outside and took in the views, soaked in the hot tub, cozied up and played games inside, and stargazed. The space was clean with many nice amenities. We really enjoyed out stay!

Middle of Nowhere is Perfection

Picture perfect

The place is exactly like the photos. It was a perfect getaway for my kids and I. We enjoyed the secluded location, the fire pit, the hot tub and the stars.

A cozy stay!

What a beautiful and cozy house this was! My partner and I wanted to get away for a night for our anniversary and we had such a nice stay! One of the easiest and convenient reservations we have experienced. Everything in the home was easy to use and the hosts even left a useful info book for us to look through just in case we needed help. The back windows gave us an amazing view, the sunset and stars were beautiful sitting outside next to the fire. Thank you for the memorable stay!

This place had everything you could need for a little getaway for 2. It had a beautiful view and beautiful touches made by the owners. I would highly recommend.

Beautiful, Isolated, and Peaceful Location

The property is great for a romantic getaway. The house is well appointed with a great fire pit and hot tub. The location is isolated enough that you can clearly see the stars at night, but not too far from Joshua Tree NP and surrounding towns. Hosts were friendly, helpful, and provided clear directions for everything needed. I'd highly recommend this rental for anyone looking to spend a few days in the park or just away from everything in the open.

Beautiful home

My brother and I were traveling from Tucson to the Redwood Forest State Park and needed a day to relax. The home was not only gorgeous and with beautiful views, but the hosts were more than accommodating. We played chess and some board games they provided and enjoyed the hot tub and sunset. 12/10

Secluded Getaway

We went to checkout the meteor shower and enjoyed that plus more! You're in the desert so expect little insects. The grounds were well laid out with many ways to enjoy being outside (shadowed patio area, jacuzzi, lounge chairs, hammock). Bonus, they provide coffee! Obtaining code for entry was a bit iffy at time of check in but host was responsive overall even during the booking question, availaling themselves to be available to answer other questions.

Tiny House Stay

We enjoyed our time in Twenty Nine Palms! The house was tiny but had all we needed! Since we spent most of our time in the Park we didn’t get to use the hot tub or relax in the backyard!

Amazing experience

We had such a good time. The house is cute, comfy and has everything you need. We loved the small attentions like water bottles for hikes, phone charger etc. The scenery is very nice and quiet. And the recommandation were great. We tried a lot of restaurants and cafe on the list! Thank you so much.
