Beachfront. Sit on the deck and watch your kids play on the beach. See the dolphins swim while the Bald Eagles fish. Walk down the beach to the left there are no houses for two miles. If you want to get away from the crowds and the traffic, this is your dream come true. This is a second home for my wife Allison and me and we know you will love it. The Port St Joe/Mexico beach area is family friendly. It's called the Forgotten Coast. We know you will feel right at home.

A magical experience on the forgotten coast

The property is even more incredible than the pictures and descriptions provide. We were able to relax on a very peaceful, quiet, almost deserted beachfront property. Our host were very accommodating and gave us great advice. We would certainly stay here again.

Beautiful View

The house was very nice and having an elevator helped with the process of moving in and moving out. The beach access was amazing and the dunes were picturesque. It is a must to spend a day exploring Appalachacola.

This was our second time to stay at this beach house and we really enjoy our time at the house. The private walk way from the house to the beach is always helpful as you can leave some of your gear on the trail during the week not always having to haul everything back to the house. It’s not crowded with other beach goers or neighbors so you have a lot of room down on the beach. We love having the trailer they provide with additional beach chairs and accessories to minimize some of what we pack. Overall it’s been a great experience both times we’ve stayed. The owner is very responsive and easy to contact with any questions.

Amazing location

We traveled with 12 people for a week stay and everyone was comfortable. There was plenty of room for everyone. The location was amazing. They had everything on location to enjoy the beach. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The ultimate home

The house and location are probably the best in the Mexico Beach area. Great views of the ocean and beach and your only minutes from St.Joe. We will be back!

Allen beach house

We enjoyed our little getaway at Allen beach house. Perfect weather with unobstructive beach view. We also enjoyed watching the sunset right outside the balcony. Great communication from the house’ s owner. Definitely recommended.

wonderful house with great views

The house was exceptionally neat and clean. Rooms were larger than they seemed in the photos. We were thrilled being able to stay there. Great views of the beach and ocean. Private walkway to the beach. Elevator was very handy for moving our luggage. Lots of room in closets and dressers to put your clothes and luggage out of site if so inclined. The Owner was easy to access and quick to respond.

Can’t ask for a better view or shorter walk to the beach

Overall we were pleased with our stay. The kitchen is large and well-stocked, there are two living areas that provide space for everyone to relax without being on top of each other, and you can’t ask for a better view or shorter walk to the beach. This was our first trip to the area and we enjoyed the slow pace and less crowded beaches. One area we feel could be improved is the bedding and pillows. The bed covers were not very warm and the pillows were not very comfortable. All in all, we had a great stay!

Loved everything!

We loved our family vacation! From pulling into the open carport as we came into town to pulling out after our stay, we enjoyed our beach get away! The occasional storms did not disrupt our family fun at all. We will definitely stay here in the future. The Owners thought of everything and communication with them was as easy as pie. The view from the second floor deck is awesome and my husband loved the adirondack chairs so much he took all the measurements and will attempt to make one for himself. The elevator was a gem especially with my elderly mom and handling all the luggage. The outside trailor was exceptional with toys and chairs and other fun things for the beach. Having an outside bathroom and fish cleaning area made the days much easier. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking etc. Our family hated to leave.

Great House with Sunset views in Dog Friendly Area

Had a great stay. Sunset views and beach access were our favorite features. House was nice, plenty of bedrooms, tv/relaxing areas on 2nd and 3rd floors and a huge kitchen. We spent every evening on the deck watching the sun set and listening to the waves. The elevator was also very useful for getting luggage to the bedroom, and our older dog loved it because she didn’t have to go up and down steps. Dog friendly beaches drew us to the area and we were happy to have one right out the back door. There were also nice dog friendly beaches in Cape San Blas and St George Island for short day trips. And there were dog friendly patios at restaurants in St Joe and Apalachicola. Highly recommended if you take your pup with you on vacation. Greg kept in contact leading up to our stay to make sure we were good to go upon arrival. While we did not need to contact him during our stay I’m sure he would have responded quickly if anything came up. We enjoyed our time in St Joe, would definitely recommend this beachfront property for a nice getaway by the ocean.

Location: The house's location was great. There is literally no one to the left of you. You are next to a public access right-of-way, but it is not bad. Be prepared not to have any waves, but also to have the calmest lake or ocean you could imagine. We never had to worry about the kiddos in the water. Also, multiple times throughout the day, we would see dolphins.Amenities: The trailer filled with beach goodies is genius. There are tons of chairs, floats, etc. We left a few extra items when we left.The house had everything we needed, and the two living room areas, one for kids and one for adults, were excellent. Each room had everything that you needed.Helpful hints: go to Mexico Beach to the local shrimp place and have them steam your fresh shrimp.We would stay here again! Great place and highly recommend.

Great location- each night we sat on the back deck and watched the sunset. Low key and very relaxing. Perfect if you have pet. Once you walk to the beach and turn left there are no homes for a couple of miles and your puppy can run free and play in the waves.

It was perfect for sitting and relaxing on the beach. Great place to snorkel and see the underwater wildlife. Best view sitting on the deck and watch as dolphins swim by.

Even more beautiful in person!

My husband and I along w our puppy stayed at the Allen's home for our anniversary. Gracious hosts. It is so beautiful, spacious and you immediately feel at home. The views are spectacular. Beach was not crowded. Beautiful neighborhood on the street side where you can walk your fur baby. Very private feel. Restaurants and shops not far away. Will absolutely stay here again in the future God willing!

My name is Greg and this property is a second home for my wife Allison and me. We live near Perry, GA full time and have kids in school so we don't make it too Florida often as we would like. Allison and I love the beach and we love just setting on the deck and watching the beach and the water. We almost always see dolphins and eagles. There are always fish jumping. We have even seen manatee's a few times. Such a fun relaxing place to visit.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

They call our area The Forgotten Coast. If you want something beautiful without the crowds, then this is your place. Just a short stroll down to the beach. Our house is nice for families because it has the living room on the 1st floor where you can gather, but it also has a big room on the 2nd floor where you can hangout, play games, and watch TV. We always see dolphins and in the early morning we often see a Bald Eagle or two. I included a picture of two Bald Eagles on the beach that I took from our deck. Very relaxing. Right on the beach. Beautiful sunsets. An amazing home. You'll love it! I promise.
