We had such a great stay! I'm an interior designer so my surroundings are import to me. The home was beautifully designed and truly enhanced our enjoyment of our time in Santa Fe. Great for our family of 4, especially as our kids had a private little area downstairs which they really enjoyed.
This property has the location and management support to be successful. However during our stay it was not well maintained. We experienced mice and insects that made it impossible to complete our reservation. The agency contact was very responsive, however the rodent problem could not be solved in a short time. Overall the house and property are poorly maintained.
The review online was not accurate. The second bedroom was in a lower level and had no bathroom. You had to go up a curved stairway every night to use a hall bathroom. also, there was no place to put any personal items...I had to use the laundry room on the first floor to dress and put any personal items such s makeup, and toiletries. It was obviously meant for kids. Also, there were many small levels and you had to constantly tell yourself...step, step, and as lovely as the area rugs were, they were a real tripping hazard!
The furnishings and artwork were very attractive, just too dangerous a place for anyone over 75...we were all in our 80's. Samantha was wonderful and addressed the ant problems. (ants in the bed, bathroom and kitchen.) As an aside, I think the owner should maintain the exterior better. There is a lot of wood rot which will eventually become a major problem.
