Come stay in this beautifully decorated apartment in a newly renovated historical building in downtown Cedar Key. "Kate" is a one bedroom and one bathroom unit fully equipped with a private bedroom with a queen sized bed, full bathroom with walk in shower, living room, kitchen, and laundry closet. The apartment is on the 2nd level of the historical Lutterloh building which now houses Main Street Mercantile. This unit includes unique touches such as a chevron wood ceiling made from repurposed wood from the original floor in the downstairs Mercantile. Private boat trailer parking behind building available for our guests.
"Kate" is named for Catherine Hobday, a strong woman figure in Cedar Key history. Catherine Hobday served as the first female lighthouse keeper at Seahorse Key Light Station from September 16, 1872 until November 30, 1879.
Such a hidden gem in Cedar Key! The apartment is super cute and right in the center of the shopping plaza. Many shops and places to eat at a walking distance. Everything was clean and tidy when we arrived. My husband and I absolutely loved this place. We are hoping to come back soon!
The property was beautiful and the apartment was comfortable. Everything was provided and the owners provided great service. Unfortunately at this time there are limited dining options on the island and the three meals we ate there were not great.
The property was easy to find, great parking, easy access, great location. The place they created in a historic building is great. They put good quality finishes when the place was built. The location is great. We walked everywhere. The outdoor seating was a nice touch. Hosts were very accommodating when we had to switch the days we were staying due to our flight changing. Would recommend to anyone.
We have stayed in Kate twice now and we love it. It is newly remodeled, very clean, and has everything we need from a fully stocked kitchen to a sound machine for sleeping. It is in the perfect location, within walking distance of everything and has a lovely porch that oversees Cedar Key. Highly recommend!!!
âKateâ is a darling downtown apartment that is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Location cannot be beat. Excellent parking especially if you have a boat and trailer. Right above some wonderful shops. We absolutely loved our stay and will return. Thank you so much.
We loved our stay in âKateâ. Nicely decorated VRBO with a well-equipped kitchen. The porch was the favorite part of our stay. There is ample seating on the porch; sitting on the large swing with a cup of coffee and a book was relaxing. We also sat there to watch the sunset.
The host was responsive. Weâll definitely stay here the next time we visit Cedar Key.
Was one of the best getaways we have done. The apartment was awesome! Top of the line with EVERYTHING- including the sheets!. Was a little confused with the high end washer and dryer. Wasn't sure how to use it compared to my old cheap one at home! LOL. Wendi was awesome and we want to book again!
This property can not be beat! Right in the heart of Cedar Key within a couple blocks of everything you need to see and do, we lucked out! The property was spotless, top to bottom, with all high end finishes. We could hear everything going on in the unit next to us and imagine another door and/or insulation will take care of that problem between the two adjoining units. Otherwise, we miss saying hi to our Pelican Pal George flying in the dining room, the GORGEOUS wood ceiling, powered reclining sofa, elegantly appointed bathroom, rocking chairs out on the balconies, lovely shop keepers downstairs, and all the fabulous restaurants within seconds/minutes walking distance.
Extremely pleased with the total experience. Accommodations very clean and well kept. Property managers friendly and willing to help at all times. Just an all around great experience!
We live here, work here and fish here! We are local RealtorsÂź who decided to resurrect the derelict buildings on 2nd St before they fell down. Our first building is complete and now we are on the 2nd building (of 6!) We love Cedar Key and want others to come and see how island living can be historic and still support modern amenities at the same time. We aren't far away if you need anything at all.
This building is from 1872 and we have worked to restore it and yet provide modern amenities. It's right in the heart of downtown so you won't need a car unless you are venturing away from the island. The porch is magnificent and a great way to unwind! Boat/trailer parking included for our guests!
