Cozy Cabin in the Woods Near Berea

Relax with family, friends or on your own in this tranquil mountain get away surrounded by nature.
Located 10 minutes from Berea College Campus, 15 minutes from I75 and less than an hour south of Lexington KY. Close to Owsley Fork Lake, the Pinnacles or Indian Fort Hiking Trails and Anglin Falls.
The space
It’s a cabin nestled in 9 acres of woods. There is an entrance gate followed by a gravel drive to the parking spot next to the cabin. There are rock steps without handrails leading to the doorway. An elderly person or person with balance difficulty might need assistance to navigate the steps leading to the front door. The entire cabin, patio and woods are available to stay in and explore.
Guest access
The entrance gate requires a pass code provided upon booking. Same for the cabin door.
There are rock steps from the parking space to the front door that do not have handrails.
Other things to note
Bring a bug spray for mosquitos while outdoors.
It’s in the woods so an encounter with a wild animal/s is possible.
Steps to the front door maybe challenging for people with balance difficulties.

Property was better than the pictures. Interior is tastefully decorated, charming cottage meets 21st century art and crafts community. Woods with pleasing views make the situation ideal. Owner commucates well.

Grandkids Spring Break Adventure

Our stay was amazing. This cabin was everything advertised and more. The history of the property was an extra fact that we learned while there and made our stay much more adventurous. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a little solitude and relaxation. We will return, soon, now that we know this place is here.

This is the 2nd time My Love and I have stayed here. This cabin couldn’t be MORE COZY and CLOSE to anything you need while being in the woods
best open fire pit grill to cook up meat from Miller High View. The MOST PEACEFUL, COMFORTABLE AND PERFECT escape while being able to work remote and RESET!!! If you want to tk see a sunset or sunrise and be close enough to buy beer and bourbon, fresh local produce, or watch a movie on the couch or chill under the trees on the hammock

Perfect spot!

Easy instructions for gate, door and wifi. We loved seeing deer and turkeys around the cabin. The lane was perfect for evening walks. Love all the green details of the cabin. The property is impecably maintained. Awesome to have washer n dryer and so many items conveniently stocked in the cabin. Thank you! An ale8one bottle would make a perfectly Kentucky vase for the color scheme.

What an amazing place

The cabin was beautiful, just as described and even better. Can’t believe this hidden jewel was only 15 Minutes from where my parents lived. Highly recommended.

Beautiful setting!

Beautiful cabin with very interesting history. We loved walking over the grounds and reading about the connection with Berea College. Very clean, a comfortable mattress, and everything you need in the kitchen. John was quick to respond and very helpful with questions. Highly recommend!

Simply the Best

The cozy cabin deserves an A. The directions provided made it easy to find and the pictures on the listing are completely accurate. The cabin is spotlessly clean and the beds were the best ever. (Wish I had this mattress at home!). We loved the nicely appointed decor. There was a puzzle provided which helped us pass a quiet evening. We were about 7 minutes from hiking at The Pinnacles which was challenging and fun. And a 15 minute drive got us to Berea which is a delightful town. We’d love to return to this cozy cabin. So thankful we discovered this home.

Great weekend get-away!

This cabin was clean, well equipped, nicely decorated, updated and very comfortable both inside and out. The location was perfect for our planned hike of the East Pinnacle, Indian Lookout and Devils Kitchen. It's also close enough to the college campus that we could enjoy the town as well. Exploring the property and reading the history of the little area was also a nice bonus. Thanks to the Owner for providing a great place at a reasonable rate! We would definitely book again!

Coziest of Cabins

Property is exactly as depicted but better. Communication and directions from host were perfect a quick to respond. Comfy beds and slept better than at home. Secluded enough to be relaxing but close enough to activities and restaurants. We'll DEFINITELY be back again. A hidden Gem !!

Peaceful Retreat

What a stunning location! We loved our views of the forest from the wrap around deck. The beds were super comfortable and there were many creature comforts. Provided was a Keurig as well as a traditional coffee maker, some K cups, some tea bags, creamer, a toaster, a microwave, a cutting board, various styles of glasses (wine, water, mugs
) and there were plenty of towels, body wash, shampoo, extra linens, a hair dryer, an iron, hangers, etc. There were outside spaces we didn’t even get to use. It was a quick drive to Berea where we went daily. The directions to the cabin were easy to follow and communication was very prompt. Great rental!

This is an amazing, relaxing, clean, comfy cabin. My friend and I felt right at home and had everything we needed to nestle right in. We could step out the door onto a quiet, secluded, deck that welcomed us into the forest. It was great to have the Pinnacles within 10 minutes of the cabin so we could get in our morning workout.
