We're here for you during your stay, but our level of interaction is up to you. We are only a phone call or message away. You will be able to self-check in upon arrival. We are happy to assist via phone or through the booking site before, during, or after your stay.

If you have any concerns, our customer support team is available 24/7/365. If there is any kind of mechanical issue with the home, please reach out to us first barring any kind of emergency. We will do our best to respond promptly and resolve any issues you may have.

Once a week, one of our team members will stop by the property to put out the trash cans, replenish our supplies, and/or restock sheets and towels. They will NOT enter the home. They have access to the garage or shed with a code. This day may or may not fall during your stay.

For your convenience and security, the front door of the house is equipped with a smart lock to provide seamless access to the home.

During your stay, you will have full access to the house, except for one of the garages, which may occasionally be used by the cleaning staff or the owners. Rest assured that your privacy will not be disturbed in any way during your stay.

Please be advised that this home is located on a rural road on an elevated property. All guests must have 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicles are required to access the home, especially in the winter and during rough weather conditions. We are not responsible for vehicles getting stuck or having issues accessing the property. Thanks for your understanding!

During Summer - It is uncommon for mountain homes to have AC. The home does not have AC but has various windows that can be opened with ceiling fans in the bedrooms and living areas.

During Winter - Winter snowfall can vary during the winter months. For guests staying from late October through late April, AN AWD OR 4WD VEHICLE IS REQUIRED. Most winter storms will provide about 5" of snow at one time. Our driveway is steep and can be problematic for cars not properly equipped to handle snow. The neighborhood roads and driveway are regularly plowed as needed during the winter months.

During icy, wet, or slippery weather conditions, please use extra caution when walking on the exterior stairs, patio deck, and on walkways. We are not responsible for any injuries or accidents resulting from slips or falls on the property. However, we will do our best to keep the driveway, stairs, and home entrances cleared and safe for all of our guests.

Wake to crisp mountain air and sweeping views of the Rockies as sunlight pours through floor-to-ceiling windows. Curl up with a book in the warm glow of the wood-burning fireplace or watch the sky change colors from the sunroom perched above the pines. In the evening, gather on the expansive deck for a shared meal while wildlife stirs at the tree line and stars begin to fill the sky.

Space and layout
Set across three stories and roughly 2,500 square feet, this log chalet combines rustic charm with practical comfort. The main level welcomes you with a sunroom, a living room anchored by a plush sectional, 65-inch smart TV, and freestanding fireplace. A six-seat dining table and five-seat breakfast bar provide space for meals, while the fully equipped kitchen features a four-burner gas stove, espresso machine, refrigerator, and dishwasher.

Sleeping arrangements
Four bedrooms offer space for up to 13 guests. On the main floor, two king bedrooms share a full bathroom with a tub-shower combo. Upstairs, the loft master suite includes a king bed, an additional twin, vaulted ceilings, a 60-inch smart TV, ensuite bath, and a dedicated workspace with extra monitor. The lower level bunk room has a twin-over-twin and twin-over-queen bunk, with a third bathroom just across the hall.

Outdoor living
Step outside to the spacious deck for mountain air and panoramic views. A BBQ grill and picnic seating make it easy to enjoy seasonal outdoor dining from May to October. Park County regulations mean the fire pit is not available for use, but the setting provides plenty of natural atmosphere, from quiet wildlife sightings to brilliant stargazing.

Amenities and extras
You will find Starlink Wi-Fi, a washer and dryer, heating, ceiling fan, and room-darkening shades. Bathrooms include shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and shower gel. The kitchen is stocked with cooking basics along with a toaster, hot water kettle, coffee maker, wine glasses, and barbecue utensils. Exterior security cameras, smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, a fire extinguisher, and a first aid kit add peace of mind. This pet-friendly home also provides free parking, including a one-car garage.

Neighborhood
Just nine minutes from Fairplay, the cabin is well placed for exploring South Park Valley and its mining history, shops, and restaurants. Breckenridge is about forty minutes away for skiing and alpine activities, while nearby trails such as Reinecker Ridge and Sheep Mountain invite hiking and cycling. Soak in local hot springs, enjoy fishing or winter sports, then return to your hillside retreat to relax by the fire or watch the stars from the deck.

This secluded log cabin offers space for families, friends, and travelers to experience Colorado’s high country in comfort, surrounded by 20 acres of evergreens and the wide horizons of the Rockies.

Winter Family Vacation

This was perfect. It was quite & away from everything but a short drive to town. We all enjoyed the sledding, snowball fight and just walking around in the snow. We saw a moose and tracks of other wildlife. The house was clean and well stocked. We look forward to making another family vacation here.

This cabin was a wonderful place to stay, and has plenty of room to stretch your legs in the surrounding trees. It had everything we needed, and the owners were very helpful and prompt any time we had a questions. It was an excellent experience, and we appreciate the opportunity to stay here!!

The house is great. We had a good time on the area trails. The mosquitoes make the deck unusable after 5 Just a couple small maintenance items like the main floor tub drains slow and the water pressure gets weak during busy times
