Coming to Aiken SC for Horse Show, vacation, family or for work? This newly remodled Two-bedroom home is stylish, comfortable, and full of the charm you'd expect. Just a mile from Bruce’s Field, Polo Training grounds and the race track. The community is within walking distance of Historic Aiken, just off beautiful Boundary Street and a short drive to downtown Whisky Alley.
Enjoy a fully fenced backyard for your furry traveling companion and space to park a horse trailer should you need it. Full separate laundry room with washer and dryer. Home is fully stocked for a comfortable stay. Several days of paper goods and basic essential are provided so you can settle in, then for longer stays guests will need to restock.
There is a $50 per pet per stay fee with prior pet approval required.

The property was perfect for our stay! It had everything we needed and was clean and inviting. The yard is perfect for dogs too. The location is convenient to most anything in Aiken. I would stay here again!

We had a great stay at Trotters cottage for Steeplechase weekend! Check in was easy, the property was was clean, comfortable and well stocked! We loved the proximity to the track and downtown. Communication with Cara, our property manager was easy. She gave us great local recommendations. We had dinner at Whiskey Alley and it did not disappoint!! Overall, we were pleased and would definitely stay again. The only downside was we wished we could've stayed longer! Thank you for hosting us!

We enjoyed our stay at Trotters Cottage and its short distance to the downtown area. The cottage was nicely decorated and equipped with everything we needed. The beds and linen were comfortable. The yard and fenced-in area was convenient for us and our chihuahua. Would stay here again.

The home and the property manager were both as advertised. Very clean, beautiful home away from the town. The property manager was excellent. We will stay here again if we return to Aiken.

Loved Our Stay

This was perfect for my daughter and I. The house was very clean, the beds and bedding are so comfortable. The location was perfect and the area was quiet even tho there was a horse show going on at Bruce’s Field. We will definitely stay again.

Our host a couple hours before we were supposed to arrive she sent me a text with all the information I needed to get into the house and gave me all kinds of great ideas for going for dinner or going to look at something It was very nice that she did that. The house is so cute and comfortable. Very clean plenty of towels for both of us as well as in the kitchen. Both my sister and I really enjoyed our stay. It was so close to our wedding venue It worked out perfectly. Aiken is a cute town. Especially if you love horses. I would stay here again if ever in the area.

Back home 4th of July Weekend

I'm a native to Aiken and grew up 2min away from this property. It was the PERFECT location in proximity to my parent's house. Everything was ideal inside the home: cleanliness, signature Aiken horse decor, very thoughtful accommodations, and the beds provided some of the best sleep we have ever had away from home. I loved our stay and hope to stay again!

I booked this property two months in advance of my stay. I received an email from VRBO titled "the keys to your stay" on Saturday before a Tuesday check in. I didn't read it carefully because I had never had a problem before. On Tuesday evening, I arrived to check in and found that the email didn't include a code and said to contact the host. I sent the host a message in the app and called the number in the notes. After waiting 20 minutes, I called VRBO customer service who said they had to try to contact the host. no surprise, they were also unable to contact the host. While I was waiting for a supervisor to handle the situation, the host finally called me back and said the information had been sent earlier that day when I booked the unit - a confusing statement considering I booked two months in advance. I didn't have any information in my VRBO app message section which I had already sent a screen shot of. She resent the code then and I was able to get in. It all worked out but was definitely stressful considering I was sitting in the dark on the curb with two teens. The home was nice enough but definitely bare bones. There was a keurig but not even enough coffee pods for me to have one each morning - good thing the teens didn't need coffee! There was only one laundry detergent pod provided and they asked that the towels be laundered upon departure. There were only 4 towels for three of us for five nights. Luckily I had brought laundry detergent to do a mid stay wash.

Great stay

We had to visit Aiken for a family wedding and this was the perfect location for us. We took our pups with us and the fully enclosed yard was fantastic for them. The location is extremely close to downtown with several locations for food and drinks. Highly recommend!

Awesome Experience

We had such a great stay at Trotter's Cottage! My mom and I stayed for the Aiken's Makin' craft event and it was very conveniently located to downtown Aiken! The cottage was so clean and owner's were so helpful and friendly! I highly recommend if you're planning to stay in Aiken!

Family visit

We truly enjoyed this beautiful little cottage. It was very clean and well stocked. This visit back to my hometown of Aiken was to attend a funeral and it was nice to come back to the quiet and comfort of the cottage. The fenced yards were perfect for our two fur babies to run in.

We stayed here while showing at Highfields. The house is clean and described accurately. The host made great restaurant recommendations and communicated with us to ensure our stay was going well. Highly recommend!!!

Enjoyable stay in Aiken

The house was nicely decorated and very comfortable. The yard was completely fenced in and that made it easy for us to have our dog with us. They thought of everything one might need for a short stay. Cara was very responsive to any of our questions, we would stay there again.
