Historic Cottage - At Hopelands Gardens close to Hitchcock Woods (Remodeled)
Hope's Cottage at Red Top Estate, is a quaint 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home located in the heart of Aiken's Historic District. Built originally for Mrs. C. Oliver Iselin (Hope) while she constructed her home on what is now Hopelands Gardens, this house is the original house on the Red Top Estate. Hopelands Gardens, with the Aiken Thoroughbred Racing Hall of Fame & Museum, is located across the street. Downtown Aiken, minutes away, offers shopping and culinary experiences galore. The Green Boundary Club is a 5-minute walk and the famous Palmetto Golf Club, which is open to visitors during Masters week, is a 2-minute drive or 5-minute walk. Situated among horse pastures, Hope's Cottage on Red Top Estate offers both privacy and convenience. The outdoor patio is suitable for entertainment or relaxing after a memorable day.
Super convenient location, spotlessly clean, cozy, comfy beds, and the most well equipped VRBO we have ever stayed in. The host thought of everything!I loved being able to stroll across the street to the beautiful park with the dog while hubby played golf.
The Historic Cottage was exactly what we hoped it would be and perfect for our stay. Very clean home and owners were exceptional! The location was perfect for Hopeland Gardens and local restaurants. We would stay here again without hesitation!
Great central location. Perfect for dog walking in the gardens across the street. Home was very clean. Beds & pillows were very comfortable! Host was very kind to let us check in early when we needed to get our car into get fixed. We will definitely be back!
We all really enjoyed our stay. Red Top Cottage was nicely appointed, roomy, and the setting was wonderful. Best overnight business trip stay I have had in Aiken. We particularly loved the marvelous mid century modern oven!
The house was great and even better with the kitchen on the other side of the house from the bedrooms; the "early risers" could enjoy coffee and morning talks without worrying about disturbing the others. Highly recommend!!!
Very comfortable cottage in a great location. Directly across the street from Hopeland Gardens and a 5 minute drive to downtown or to the Palmetto Golf Club and polo fields. Hope to return on our next trip to Aiken.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the red roofed cottage. The house is very well appointed and welcoming. It is located conveniently close to downtown. We enjoyed walking in the gardens next door. It was a very relaxing get away.
We have stayed at the cottage a couple of times now, and it is always our first choice when searching for weekend rentals in Aiken. If you like historic properties, we highly recommend this little gem.
This is an older home with nice woodwork, old wood floors, skeleton key door locks, great porches and decks. The two bathrooms are very nice. The house stayed nice and cool during the hot days. We had seven in our group and it was about right. Close to everything! It wasn't more than a ten minute drive to everywhere we had to go. Right next to a nice garden with walking paths. We are very happy to have stayed there. Thanks!
My family of four adults stayed in this exquisite historical cottage while in town for my nieceâs baby shower. We couldnât have been more pleased with our choice as it was exactly as depicted in the pictures and as described on the site. Plenty of space. Comfortable beds, pillows, and sheets. Fully stocked kitchen for all of our needs. Two porches for early mornings or late evenings relaxing. Nice neighborhood with many walking opportunities.Check in was easy and communication was the best! Very attentive to our questions or needs. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the Aiken area.
There was a bit of a glitch with communication, but the host quickly responded. The cottage was very clean. The location was perfect for attending the Masters. Very quiet and quaint.
