Perfect Log Cabin family-friendly hidden away on 3.5 acres in the woods. This cabin is perfect for all seasons and is close to all that the Poconos and Delaware Water Gap has to offer.

The main area of the house (living & dining rooms) has 50ft vaulted ceiling and a beautiful stone fireplace that will keep you warm all winter. The first floor includes the living & dining area, the kitchen, master bedroom (Queen bed and TV), 2 bathrooms, laundry, and a back room. The second floor includes a separate loft and bedroom. The loft is a great play-area and has a pull-out sofa. The 2nd-floor bedroom is large (also with high ceilings) and includes 3 twin beds and a TV. The back room looks out to all that Mother Nature has to offer (back room includes 2 pullout couches -1 Queen and 1 twin & television). The cabin includes 2 bathrooms with showers. Home includes 4 Smart televisions with cable and Apple TV firestick (please use your own Netflix and other subscription log-in information).

The front porch of the Cabin includes a hammock for a quick nap and a picnic table for dinner.

The Cabin is set on over 3 acres of property with a stream running behind the property. There is an outdoor shower and firepit with chairs to sit around the fire. Bug zapper available if needed to keep away extra bugs. The home is a quick walk away from a hiking trail that ends in a beautiful waterfall.

The property also includes a fun treehouse with electricity, heat, bunk beds, and a television (Smart TV). Treehouse includes a fun porch to sit and take in nature.

The home is located within a 20-30 minute drive from Shawnee and Camelback Ski Resorts for skiing and tubing. Close to Bushkill Falls, Delaware Water Gap, and East Stroudsburg University.

Pets are permitted with fee.

Large parties and other special events are not permitted.

Fun time!

We had a short stay for Spring Break. This is central to a lot of Poconos locations. Bush kill Falls is about 25 minutes. There are more than enough beds for a family. The tree house is a good hang out for kids. It is also pet friendly (small dog on our trip). There are lots of Legos and games for kids. Hope to go again later in the season.

Refreshing stay

The property was fabulous. It was great for couples, adults, or families and the local hikes are amazing. On top of the property being great, it was so nice to have some things that I missed from the early days of renting homes. There were snacks left, simple necessities, games, puzzles, and firewood. It was so great to have amazing and responsive hosts when we had questions. Thank you!!!!

Perfect cabin in the woods

We had a great weekend stay at this cabin. The property owner was very responsive and answered all of my questions quickly. The weather could have been a little nicer, but they had plenty of games and puzzles to keep us entertained while we waited for the rain to stop. This house came with everything anyone could have forgotten when packing for this trip. I would definitely return:)

Peaceful

We loved the cabin . Having coffee in the back porch in am with all the sun looking out into the woods . Exploring the property and treehouse was fun . The fireplace was a nice treat while watching movies .

Perfect getaway

We came for the weekend from nyc with for a birthday getaway. It was just perfect! The property was clean and the host had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. The fireplace was great and the heated sunroom in the back was our favorite part!. We brought our dog who had a better time than we did exploring nature in the backyard! Would love to come back in the warmer weather. Thank you for a great weekend

Ideal Setting..

We had a great time staying at this property. There was so much to do just on the cabin grounds. There’s a wonderful fire pit that we sat around and talked and made s’mores. They have everything you need for your stay. It was a great weekend and we would definitely choose to stay here again.

Peaceful getaway

Thank you Sheilagh for sharing your cabin with us!! Comment: Amazed by the cleanliness of the home! We had definitely expected cobb webs, critters, etc. Cabin was pristine! An absolutely excellent and peaceful stay. Sheilagh was very responsive both pre and during stay. Home was well stocked (even toiletries, coffee, wood, etc). Enjoyed the fireplace tremendously and left a fire good to go for the next guest. Our favorite - the sunroom! Watched football on Sunday in our peaceful surroundings. Loved the outside lights. Would like to book a last minute stay when a snow storm is coming to enjoy from the room. Bed was very comfortable, windows in good working order. Great dinner at Butter. Wanted to do Chef’s tasting menu at Memorytown but called too late for reservations. A fabulous time - highly recommend.

Perfect anniversary getaway

We had a truly amazing stay at Sheilagh’s cozy cabin! She went above and beyond to make our anniversary getaway special, from the beautiful string lights to the thoughtful touches she added to the space for us. The cabin itself was perfect and just what we needed for a relaxing escape. Sheilagh’s communication was excellent, and she was always responsive and accommodating. We can’t wait to return, hopefully with our kids next time, to enjoy this wonderful retreat again. Highly recommend!

Cozy cabin

The cabin was exactly as described on the listing. My daughter especially liked the tree house and swing set. I liked that, host made sure there was bedding for every sleeping situation, the backroom was my favorite. The cabin is close to Delaware water gap, lots of hiking spots with waterfall. The host was very responsive, she helped us out through out our stay. We enjoyed our getaway. I wholeheartedly recommend Sheilagh's property.

Excellent cabin getaway!

Our family absolutely loved this cabin for our weekend Poconos getaway! The hosts had it stocked with everything we could possibly need and the location was beautiful and secluded. Hosts were super responsive and helpful with questions while we were there. Everything was just what we were looking for, and we hope to visit again in the future!

Nice cabin, nice area

Easy and quick communication with owners, they are generous with the small things that make things more comfortable, such as towels, snacks and toiletries. Not a very baby friendly cabin for a fast crawler, but it's likely that no cabin is! Overall positive experience.

I loved the propery it was close to so many sights an activities to do I wish we stayed longer. Communication was very clear and responses were FAST! I ENJOYED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS TRIP. We hope to make a return visit soon.

Lots of Space Inside and Out

We were at the cabin for a few days with the grandkids. Lots of room for them to play and explore and plenty of space inside for them and for us. This was probably one of the best stocked places we have ever rented. They had everything we might have needed. While we were well-prepared it was great to have things on hand had we needed them. Very, very clean, as well. We were fortunate to have good weather and spent lots of time outside - especially around the fire pit. LOTS of firewood and plenty of kindling to be collected. The space was also very dog-friendly. A number of tie outs for pups who need some limitations on their ability to wander. Finally, a very friendly deer came by a few times each day. It was fun to watch for her and to see her in the morning and evenings. There is a fair amount of traffic and the gravel road are bumpy at times. This meant some noise throughout the stay, but it was minimal and you couldn't hear it when you were inside the cabin at all.

Overall, it was a very nice experience and the owners did an excellent job of making the cabin feel very homely. The cabin and property are so beautiful and everything from food, towels, firewood, and more were so kindly provided for us. We only had a couple minor complaints. The kids were excited about the treehouse but that was under construction and we were not made aware until we arrived on the property. Also, the AC was not set up before we arrived, so it was hot at night when we were sleeping. Our second day there, the power and water cut off from noon to 5pm because of some emergency work, but that is just our luck and no fault of the owners or the property. For their part, they were very communicative with us and made sure to follow up with us and talk to the electric company and let us know all the updates.

Great cabin getaway for a large family.

The cabins location was great and made it feel like you're out in this area alone even though it is a community. Plenty of privacy For the fire pit and kicking back and relaxing relaxing.

Nice getaway

Nice , cozy cabin. Clean, great communication with host, accommodating. On a decent amount of property but unless you have a great recall with your dog, neighbors and road not far. Road is not busy though. Cabin does have 3 tie outs to keep dog safe, if you need it. Unfortunately The treehouse was not sleep ready due to some renovations, my daughter wanted to sleep there so was dissapointed, but when it is completed, it should be great , being heated and providing electrical. Overall great family cabin, firepit, plenty of places for many sleep , kid friendly backyard!

Relaxing stay

The cabin and property are great. My wife finally took some time to just sit and relax away from her non-stop animal rescue. Most of our 6 days were just running the fireplace and some movies. We only really ran around 1 day at flea markets as my son and wife like antiques and old items. Leaving today if we can get out of here. Like 14 inches of snow. Ive been shoveling the driveway all morning. Its beautiful with the snow covered pines, but i think my 3 hour trip home will be more like 5. Very homey cabin. Well stocked.

Great stay! Lovely cottage!

My wife and I had a great time visiting this property. The house had everything you want. A fully stocked kitchen, plenty of firewood for both inside and out and plenty of games and puzzles to keep you entertained on a rainy day. Communication with the owners was above and beyond. Thank you, Sheilagh and Frank for sharing this beautiful cabin with us and making my birthday weekend something really special!

My name is Sheilagh and my family and I have made our PA cabin our sanctuary the last few years and now we want to start sharing it with others.

Our cabin is our home away from home during the winter and we basically moved in during Covid and quarantine. We love the home and all of the amazing things to do in the nearby areas and now we want to share that with all of you. Many times we head to the Cabin with full plans of fun things to do but then get sucked into the coziness and warmth of the cabin and then never leave. We hope to share the space with you and that you will love it as much as we do.

Use the cabin as a home away from home. It is secluded but includes all modern conviences. We have just built a new tree house on the property- it includes a bunk bed, electricity, TV, and heat. A perfect place to escape from your kids or the rest of your family.
