My husband and I and another couple took a group of seniors to Cozumel for their senior trip and booked the entire property. The villas were clean, plenty of room and bathrooms, and the kids loved the pool in the center of the property--lots of great memories were made. We ordered food and drinks prepared from their chef Mi Tia and her aguachile was delicious! Great stay with great people. Will definitely be back if we ever have another large group.
This property went beyond my expectations in several ways
I was in for the Ironman, then stayed a week with our adult kids and 3 grandkids. We had 3 small family units so I rented all 3 villas. Each villa was a complete 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath unit. Anyway. All was fully furnished with many extras. Many quality upgrades. The pool size and pleasantness of the pool area and courtyard exceeded the pictures and descriptions. Alex was our hands on property manager. We was totally and instantly responsive all week. Pleasant , informative and friendly. I could tell the whole compound from owner to full staff were trying to provide our every need, not just give us a place to stay. For a larger group like ours, it was perfect. So nice at the end of the day to sit around the pool and relax in total secured privacy.
I'm Sarah Rodriguez. My husband Bob designed and built Casa Colonial in 2000. We wanted to build something unique on Cozumel that gave visitors the feel of Mexican Colonial architecture with all the modern conveniences of today. That was the simple concept that guided the design of every facet of Casa Colonial. Arches, columns, Talavera, vibrant colors, roll barrel tile accents, âEquipaleâ (hand crafted Mexican Furniture: headboards, Armoires, Original art, dining room tables, and chairs, etc.) and more assures that you will be immersed in all things Mexico! The authenticity of Casa Colonial is unmatched anywhere else on the island. Experience the difference of Mexican Colonial Style. Experience Casa Colonial!
Casa Colonial is located in the heart of San Miguel, the Central zone, with a neighborhood grocery store just down the street; its proximity to Avenida 30th makes walking to some of the most popular local restaurants & taquerias (like the all U can eat Mexican Sunday brunch) & shops easy and fun for guests! Enjoy the flavor of the Island and its warm Mayan people, delicious and diverse local cuisine, fresh fruit vendors and the feel they are truly vacationing in Mexico! For these reasons and many more, we chose to build our hotel here!
Our attention to detail and to our guest's needs have been a focal point. The "garden oasis" is beautifully landscaped and tropical with small indigenous land turtles that roam around; the Colonial-style architecture lets guests know they are in Mexico and not a generic room. From the Property Manager to the Housekeeper, Pool cleaner and Gardener, our staff is very personable and friendly. Finally, the location is great for exploring in-town. Casa Colonial is surrounded by some of the Island's favorite restaurants. Our guests love this!
